Dear Miss.Lauper, your music saved my life. There I lay in a deep, deep coma from a MX Racing accident.Doctors told my parents I was Brain Dead, three times. After play your beautiful song,'True Colours',my vitals improved. Every time your song was played beside my bed,I would make an improvement. Lost deep in a coma, your music would reach me,my brain hearing this beautiful music and giving me the will to live. I thank you for your wonderful music,it helped to save my life.Thank You.
She’s so god damn adorable. She’s still stunning and maybe even more-so. I’m having serious hair envy lol. I love her style. I love her speaking voice, I love her songwriting and her singing. I’ve been a fan since the mid 80s. Love you Cyndi! 🫶🏻🇨🇦
Beautiful lady who gives out so much hope. She set up a homeless shelter in NY for youth and spoke to Congress about investing in youth. She is still performing at 70.
For someone who went through a tough life at younger ages to the woman she had become now I have nothing but respect and admiration for her, A living legend indeed. Bless her
The best interviews with Cyndi is when the person interviewing just lets Cyndi go n out comes stuff u never even knew about her. Good Job, Frank Buckley!
Cyndi is unbelievably talented. Cyndi you are so right when you said that people who are meant to get the message in 'Girl's just Wanna have fun' hear it. It's incredibly empowering to women not just in the past but now and it still will in the future as well. It crosses generations as it has many meanings at different levels. It's not often that an artist truly stays relevant in any time/generation. Thank you Cyndi, you are a beautiful person. Xx
YES!!! I love 😘 love Cyndi 🥰 I fell in Love with her back in '83 when she was on Johnny Carson!!! I've seen her in concert prob at least 20 times.. She is a real genuine Artist/Singer, perfectionist...not merely a performer. I have met her personally 2 times in my life and I am grateful for her and the music. Cyndi got me through so much... especially Blue Angel 'I'm going to be strong'💪🥰
Wow, Great interview, Frank! Feedback: I enjoyed how you let Cyndi talk and didn't interrupt her when she was talking. When interviewers interrupt, it makes the interview unlistenable, but you didn't do that. Amazing interview!
Man I love her energy and personality so much. 80s music is my favorite and Cyndi has a special place in my heart with all her incredible music. After hearing her speak on her live We Are The World performance, I became infatuated with her personality. Such a sweet quirky human being
@@francoisbessing I agree if we were all the same it would be boring. I have aspergers that wasn't diagnosed until I was an adult but I embrace it now knowing that my quirks come from my aspergers traits. Your comment helps me to realise that it's okay to be me. I saw her concert with At last songs in Montreal, i was first row , her voice so strong and viceral raw emotion out of a so petite women ! i was thrilled !!
She never let fame go to her head and she is aging gracefully on top of that. These are all things Madonna lacks. Madonna was only cool in the early 80s, but Cyndi has been cool throughout all the decades.
God bless this wonderful woman. No one handed her anything. All she and many others need. A helping hand to get back on track.I wonder how many with great potential never realized fell by the wayside? Tragic how most turn a cold shoulder to the homeless and poor.
Cyndi, WOW! I do mean WOW! I can really relate to what she has to say . If you have followed her, and listened to her through the years you can hear the most positive wisdom she has to share with people .She's a PRINCESS My mother would love her as much as I do.
Thanks to Portrait/Epic Records for allowing Cyndi to be the woman of grace, who wanted to have fun and show her true colors with a change of heart ❤️❤️🎼🎤
Time after time is my favorite. What a classic, I still have it on my phone. I'm was born in 1993, after many years the song was released but, I can also relate to the song. That's how powerful the song is.
My mom taught me about rock bands? AC/DC Black Sabbath Dio and many more. So Cyndi? Was definitely in my life growing up. I’m 23. And it’s been my dream since I was a kid to be in a band either singer (then I found out I can’t sing) or guitar (anyone can learn it, it just takes time) like all my heroes. My sisters taught me about Cyndi. And I love her voice. And how empowering she is to younger women and girls. We need more artists like her. I hope to be one but as a guitarist.
Thank you Cyndi for all you have given to us in rising above it all! Your life story gives us hope in knowing the human spirit can become its best....imagine it and one can truly become it....you have proven this!~ Thank you for being a 1st rate Cindy Lauper.....
Cyndi; I have loved you all my life, you are a ambassador to beautiful people, and I’ll always love you all through the night and time after time forever

Remarkable that someone who's been in the biz as long as she has is still so in touch with her humanity. Cyndi is the real deal.

Her career never "has" to be on fire, sir..... That woman is on fire..... Beautiful soul
I always liked her, but I never knew Cyndi Lauper was such a formidable person, and how much she helps the less fortunate. I like her even more now.
I just watched her 60 Minutes Australia interview and in tears…. This woman’s heart is even bigger than her personality. 💖
Right
i knew nothing about her background, but i always loved her music and the messages she tried to pass in her songs. i got one or two!

“I didn’t want to be like somebody else. I could only be a second-rate somebody else, but I could be a first-rate me.”. Truly words of wisdom.

Oooh this was a good one :)
Finally! So many dull interviews lately!
@19:41 how powerful to ask How would you feel “if God hated You” some powerful words to ask ourselves when we judge others.
This was a very nice, candid interview. You both are to be applauded for sharing so honestly.
I don't have anything against Madonna, but I think Cindy is aging much better than her.
Madonna is the Queen of Pop
