You do such a wonderful job with your information and knowledge to help us! I’m new to this and my grandchildren have two! We love them! Learning so much from you that has helped save our Hermit Crabs, Ocean and Mark! Lol. Thank you! Sure hope you are well and eventually come back!! God Bless You!!
Gonna get a 20 gal tank this Christmas for my 2 guys, I’ve been following your videos to learn more about them and how to make the best crabitat I can. Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the review! Mine was the last one, fortunately my crabs are all healthy and alive in a 55 gallon tank now, they have 8 inches of substrate and lots of things to hide and climb in, they also have a 10 gallon topper that I designed myself.
Ok I have a serious question, I had 4 hermit crabs like 2 weeks ago, I have a 15 gallon tank and I has no lid, I have a giant piece of drift wood, I have like 5 inches of sand, I have fruits like grapes and watermelon, and I have around a 2 centimeter deep water bowl, one of my hermit crabs died because it was to cold, before I got a heat pad, and second one died because it was to hot, that is why I got a heat pad, now I am left with 2, but my question is, wouldn’t a completely sealed tank suffocate them because of no oxygen, and wouldn’t a slightly sealed tank let humidity come out, should I get a lid for my tank, and should I get a few inches deep water bowls for the salt and fresh water?
This is a very good question. Hermit crabs when they are in a tank with a sealed lid do still get enough oxygen. They get oxygen when you open the lid to give them food, water, or misting down the tank. Also when you think about it they bury themselves in the dirt for months and live. I hope this helps answer your question! And please get a lid hermit crabs are escape artist! And a very helpful place to get information about hermit crabs is a hermit crab forum.

Hi question I hear about tanks with lids for light and humidity or screen lid but cover with plastic for humidity but then it is said to holes, etc are needed for air? Confusing!
Is it safe for my hermit crabs if I use a small wire cage as something for them to climb on in their tank? I have heard the metal is toxic but I wanted to make sure.
How can I send you a picture of my tank I know that there is a lot to fix btw I am planning on getting more crabs but I want to make sure that my care is really good.
Hi! Do you happen to know if bendy bridges are safe for hermit crabs? I just saw the one my sister has for her hamster and I wondered if it would be safe for my crabs.
I’m so upset that you won’t answer my Instagram DM that I sent you. I sent you a DM on your Instagram page under my moms account with pictures of my crab habitat, and some information about it, I thought for sure you would see it, but I guess not. I sent you the DM about a month and a half ago, and every new subscribers credited video you come out with I’m looking to find mine, and I can never find it. And now you’re not even excepting them anymore for videos. That’s disappoint.😟

How do you attach the coco wall? Suction cups and zip ties?
I think my hermit crab is dying when is it time to take him out and should I move the other ones out so if he’s molting he has privacy does it matter?

I would not use anything metal.

Hi quick question is it ok to use just eco earth for substrate?
Yes but mix it with play sand you can find it at any hardwhare store like home depot
Nice!
Glad you liked the video!
You’re videos Inspired me to make my 25 gallon bin tank. But there might not be enough substrate in it 🐚
Hi! Do you happen to know if bendy bridges are safe for hermit crabs? I just saw the one my sister has for her hamster and I wondered if it would be safe for my crabs.
Not sure, but I would say no. Most of those type of things are made of pine.
Bendy bridges are connected with metal..it will rust in a crab tank.
