- Going with started tradition of seeing the drama I was curious what was going on with Slayer, and the new KK band and song. I found 2 interesting short clips with him explaining his reaction to the ban splitting and also him claiming that Tommy didn't play bass on newer albums when recording. Which whatever.. he plays them live and that's what the fans want to see.

I listened to it a dozen times and I really wanted to like since Im such a big fan of Slayer. To me the new song is what I'd call discount Slayer.
I heard the other day and its fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnneeee. The song is fine.

I looked at Slayer songwriting credits and most of their songs I prefer were from Jeff. KK’s style leans more towards punk/hardcore and honestly many of his sound the same.
His comment about Dave sums up his shit attitude. KK wasn’t exactly Slayer’s most essential member. The band pretty much died with Jeff. Slayer didn’t deserve Dave.

I literally disagree with everything you said, lmao. i understand your sentiment, but just because you preferred all of Jeffs songs more, does not mean Slayer would be Slayer with just Jeff. All the members were essential. But KK was actually Slayers most essential. It's the Lars effect. No one else was going to step up and be the speaker for the brand and business. I like Kerrys punkish riffs, i like Jeffs kamikaze riffs. KK is the better lead player (imo in general). I never fking got the stupid azz adolescent feggotry of people saying such ignorant sht. Slayer did not die when Jeff did, in fact, only a legendary chapter as we all grieve. They still did excellent Slayer sht after, Relentless is epic, classic Slayer.

I'm not a slayer fan but this song is good, but it sounds like slayer and I hope he wrote most of their material because if he didn't he owes Tom some royalty money here on this.
