Every small mouth is big this time of year on Simcoe... The small ones seem to be less active. It's my home lake and I average 2 pounds per fish in the summer with some 4s. Yet to catch a 5.... They just hit the right time... I fish from a kayak and wasn't gonna go out in the snow!
Find more fishing spots please, I just started fishing this year and I'm not bragging or trying to be a dick but I've found some toads. Explore my dude and use different baits
Come to Kentucky and smallmouth fish, hop from lake cumberland to dale hollow lake. 40 minutes apart. Average 3 fish at dale hollow was 12 pounds last I heard.
