I'm blown away by all your incredibly kind comments and your support! That means more than I could ever express. Thank you so much! I will answer every comment but it will probably take another day or so. Thank you for understanding :)
What a remarkable story... Not only will you change your own life, but there will be many people watching this who will also decide they need to make changes to their own lives. That's a really proud legacy to hold in your heart. Well done... very well done!
Wow, thank you for this comment! That really touched me. If I could inspire some people to follow their dreams - that would be incredible 😍 Thank you so much for the kind words and support!
Great video Elli. I actually bumped into you twice in your journey! On my first day of the WHW I spoke to you just near Mugdock Woods… you were going in the opposite direction. And when I was in Cornwall I bumped into you near Nanjizal bay..near Lands End. You told me about your channel then and when I watched that evening I realised we’d met on the WHW too! What a coincidence! 😊
Whaat? That's crazy - small world :) I didn't realise we crossed paths in Scotland too 😳 Thank you so much for the kind words and for following along, that means so much!
Danke, dass Du uns an deinem „way to happiness“ teilhaben lässt. Du bist eine Inspiration! Ich bewundere Dich sehr dafür, wie Du Deinen Weg gehst und das Leben lebst, das Dich glücklich macht. Weiter so, Elli! Ich freue mich auf viele weitere Abenteuer von dir und Otto. ❤
For some of us adventure is as important as air and water. The wilderness is where we fit in, and other people who need it as much as we do are our social group. Those people are our tribe and the ocean, mountain, desert or trail is our true home. The office, storefront or factory where we have to go to be able to fund our adventures is merely a waypoint where we go between adventures to plan the next one. Welcome to the tribe, Elli, you fit in here. I hope to run into you out there somewhere. 🌎🌏🌍
That's so beautiful! Thank you so much for the kind words, they really touched me and I'm so happy that I could bring my feelings and thoughts across in the video :) Thank you for following along!!
Lovely film Elli & Otto, truly amazing what you both accomplished unbelievable the kms but also little Otto hiking all that way too. I think your followers looked forward to every week because you are a real down to earth hiker but also a beautiful lady with great smiles and great heart for your adventure but saying how it is but truly real life stories.Wishing many more great times and happy safe adventures the both of you 🌷
Your videos are so inspirational and very honest showing all, the “ups and downs”.I love your philosophy on life, your right, one size doesn’t fit all and it’s very brave of you to go out and pursue your dreams, you have my admiration as not everyone does so really well done for that 👏👏
What a great video of your epic walk! It has been such a pleasure to follow your journey. You and Otto are the best team. Hope to follow you on many new adventures👍
Fantastic summary of yours and Otto's journey. I have tears in my eyes after watching. Your journey sounds so similar to mine it's lovely to hear you're not alone with those feelings. The trail provides in so many ways. Congratulations again and for taking that huge step in your life and sharing it with us 🥾🥾
Ohh, your comment really made my day and touched me a lot! Thank you so much for the kind and supportive words. It really feels so great that people can relate to our journey. Thank you so much for following along :)
Thank you so much! I've spent a lot of time on it (scripting and recording a voice over in a language that's not your native language) is quite a bit of work. So I'm very glad to get such positive feedback :)
Ms Elli this compilation of your and Otto’s journey is so awesome and blows me away😃 Your opening statements hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m so impressed by you and all you’ve accomplished so far with so much amazingly beautiful things to come. I wish I’d seen so many years ago the very things you’ve found in your life and went for what called you. I always had put everyone’s and everything else’s needs before mine always saying there would be time later in my life. I’m not complaining nor regretting those decisions. Life’s responsibilities as a husband, father, grandfather and provider. Unfortunately and fortunately now I’ve reached that point in my aging years and due to a lifetime of hard work, accumulating health issues that some of my dreams of what I wanted now are impossible. I do a lot of what I am able to and don’t let what I can’t get me down. I enjoy what I can all the more now. You will never understand how much joy, excitement and feel good vibes you’ve brought to me by sharing your videos❤️ I absolutely loved this video, You are an amazing young woman and an incredible inspiration Your honest sharing of all the ups and downs, highs and lows really touches me. Otto is such a trooper too and you guys make an awesome team. Ms Elli thank you so very much for allowing us the privilege of following along on your continued life’s journeys. You truly are a beautiful, caring soul❤️ Thank you again. Till next time, take care, keep safe and see ya then 👍🏻🙏🏻😃☺️
Thank you so much for sharing this! Your comment really touched me and I can't express how happy this makes me and how grateful I am that I can bring joy and maybe inspiration through my videos. That still blows my mind. Thank you for following along and your incredibly kind and supportive words, that means the world!
You’re so very welcome Ms Elli😃 You will never understand how happy I am sharing along with your and Otto’s journeys. You most certainly are an inspiration to all of us out here that have the blessing of traveling along with you. You truly are a wonderful, caring person as you are. Please always just be you and enjoy what life brings. Thank you again, take care, keep safe and will be here for your next video👍🏻🙏🏻😃☺️
So impressed, Elli. well done! I have found that long distance walking heightens all of your feelings and emotions, so that the highs are wonderful but the lows are very low and can be hard to cope with and still keep walking. To cope with everything for four months or more is a magnificent achievement. And not forgetting little Otto, who I guess was a big help and comfort at times.. I followed your walk all through Scotland but went astray somewhere on the Pennine Way and it is nice to be able to see all of that now. Good luck for the next hikes! PS: your English is really, really good!
Great video and such an achievement! I remember seeing you on the Beinglas Campsite. I was there for one night on 15 May with my uncle while we were on the WHW. My uncle gave you one of his dehydrated breakfasts 😁 Otto was very friendly.
Very enjoyable video, I did lejog 10 years ago, wild camping, but south to north, your video brought back so many good memories and so many familiar scenes from my hike. Thanks for sharing 👍🚶subscribed
I walked this walk 8 years ago, it really is a life changing experience. A beautiful video and an enjoyable watch. Well done to you and your beautiful dog, Otto.
Elli and Otto, I salute you. 🫡 Your determination, spirit and sheer will to succeed, despite everything you encountered, is amazing. Your entire journey, in so many ways, is a life lesson to all. Never, ever, give up! Good luck for the future. ✊
Brilliant film of your achievements. Moving and inspirational. You deserve more recognition and I hope you realise your dream of supporting yourself through your adventures. Good luck to you and Otto
Something Else is simply the most amazing short video on hiking I have watched, I keep coming back to it to watch again. Thank you for making and sharing it.
Aww, that's incredibly kind! Thank you so much, your comment really made my day :) So nice to read that I could bring my thoughts and feelings across, it's the video I poured all my heart in! Thank you :)
What a beautiful video! I followed every episode of your hike and this video sums it up so beautifully! You have a very special storytelling talent and I look forward to following your and Otto's future journeys. Thank you for sharing this wonderful adventure with all of us!
Aww, thank you so much for the lovely words. That means so much and I'm so happy that you've enjoyed our videos! I really appreciate you following along, thank you :)
Hi Elli & Otto. Amazing. I feel so privileged that I met you both, briefly as it was. I think Otto deserves to start a fan page/instagram page and I want to be the first on it (well after you) 😂 To start off his life in a cage and then to have the pure luck of meeting you, that really is a story to tell. Journeys like this change your life, so keep going as you are doing great. What about start from Lands End to John O’Groats next time. lol. It always looks different from another perspective. It sounds like your path in life has been chosen. So keep treading it and all the very best. x
Thank you so so much for your support and encouragement, Rique :) Tbh, you were one of the first people I've shared these thoughts/very abstract "plans" with that came up during my SWCP hike 2022. And your encouragement back then and our talk had a really big impact on me and pushed me even more into following what was still a very abstract, crazy idea back then..... Can't thank you enough 😍
Thank you for putting together this documentary. Stunning footage and great narration. Congratulations on completing what looked like a really tough challenge!
@@ellihikes I was very moved by Otto’s story and to see him loved so much and enjoying life. And how excited he was to see your boyfriend at walk’s end.
Hi Elli. Finally caught up with this. I've followed you now and then on your journey. You capture the mixed emotions of long-distance hiking so well. It's the unexpected moments of euphoria that keep me going. Walk through life your own way and I hope you explore more wonderful trails. :)
Hi Tony, small world - I just read your write-up on your latest stretch of your walk around the UK :) Thank you so much for the kind words and encouragement, that means a lot :)
Elli I have watched this latest video a couple of times now as well as following your walk through the many episodes.. You are an amazing person and you have clearly illustrated what is possible when people step out and face their fears to then accomplish life changing moment in their lives. I have often thought that ... Life is made up of moments that merge into scenes , scenes are but chapters in the autobiography of our lives. May you live your life within your circumstance yet still following your dreams. I will tomorrow support your coffee and Otto treat fund. I wish you well and thank you for your Journey which I am sure has inspired and meant so much to those of us who have followed it. Thank you. John N.
Oooh, your comment really touched me! Thank you so much for following along and mostly for the kind words. It's so crazy to think that I can bring joy and inspiration through my videos, that's incredible and makes me so happy :) Thank you so much for your support, that means so much - I'm very grateful! PS: I think I saw another comment from you, but can't seem to find it now (if I'm not mistaken)... Sometimes RUclips doesn't seem to show all comments and is a bit weird, but it'll probably appear again!
Elli thank you for your reply and I am pleased that you are pleased with everyone's responses to you, it is good for you to know that you are appreciated for how you share your adventures and so inspire others. I used to do the same in the pre digital/ VHS era as I too have had many walking and sailing adventures. In regards to the missing message, there was one which was sent after I had made a donation to you, but when I looked in the comments there were 2 messages the first of which was like a receipt in that it was very stark and I wondered how it had been sent. However as I am not very IT confident I realised that the mistake would have been mine and as such I was embarrassed and therefore deleted both comments. In the comment that I knowingly sent I was just saying, I have sent coffees for you and treats for Otto I wish you well on your next adventure. this sentiment and support remains the same and I look forward to future videos. J. @@ellihikes
I thought I saw it but didn't want to jump to conclusions and didn't trust my eyes. The SuperThanks/Donations take 2 days to process before I can see them on my end - just seeing it now. And I'm blown away! That's incredibly generous of you and I'm so touched and beyond grateful! Thank you so so much, I cannot believe it. Thank you for recognizing my work! Your support goes a long way :)
That is no problem Elli, as I have said I know something of what is involved and your filming, factual commentary and openness of honest emotion convey a great deal about the person you are and the enjoyment you get from doing what you do. I and no doubt many others, look forward to following your further adventures. Best Wishes J, @@ellihikes
Fabulous video Ellie, lovely to see you and Otto on a condensed version of your journey and your thoughts and musings along the route, the highs and lows and the elations and the difficulties. X
Hi Elli You are very brave and courageous to attempt such a walk on your own. Very enjoyable videos , I wish I had the nerve to do such a journey. Best wishes for your future adventures.
Thank you for following along, that means so much! I know it can be scary, I definitely have these moments too - but it gets easier the more you do it and the more you get used to it :)
Lovely video of determination and resilience. You and Otto will have many adventures together. Remember this is your life and you must do what brings you joy. 💚
Amazing! Just discovered your channel a few days ago and it's blown me away. Courageous; inspirational; life-affirming and your philosophy on life is so relatable and insightful. But these adjectives don't do justice to your adventure and the commitment to document it so beautifully. All good things for your and Otto's future quests!
This is amazing Ellie. A beautiful conclusion to your trip. I watched every one of your weekly vlogs whilst you were on the trail but this summary and your personal reflections is superb. Very well done once again to you and Otto and I can’t wait for your next adventure series 👌
Wow, that's incredible that you've followed us for so long :) Thank you so much for the kind words - it feels amazing that people enjoy this conclusion and value the work that went into it so much. Thank you so much :)
Thank you so much for sharing your journey the way you did! I absolutely loved following along and found it so inspiring. This film is such a beautiful summary. Congratulations on such a huge achievement, wishing you all the best for whatever comes next!
Wow, that's so kind! Thank you so much for the lovely words, I'm so happy that you've enjoyed the video! Thank you so much for following along, I really appreciate that :)
A superb review Elli. Really enjoyed following your progress from North to South. Extremely impressed at both you and Otto. Quite an adventure and very inspiring. Travel as they say broadens the mind, hiking helps improve it and puts life into perspective. I look forward to more of your hikes. Your presentation is exemplary. Thank you for showing us some of the best of British (and a bit of the worst) Take care. Til next time 😊
What an amazing, wonderful, impressive and astonishing journey. Thank you very much for sharing your adventures with us, Elli. Your channels deserves so many more views and subscribers. All the best to you!
Elli, this is a beautiful documentary! With your photographer's eye, you've got some stunning scenery and you are very candid about your emotional ups and downs along the way. As a short version of your splendid walk the length of Britain I'd say it is essential viewing for anyone thinking of doing a similar hike. Of course, those of us who have followed your journey from the start know you made it to the end, but you maintain the tension until the last few minutes - will she, won't she...? I wish you could get this onto British TV, it would make a great half-hour programme as it is, or you could do an extended one or even a series. You have plenty of video! Maybe try Channel 5...?
Thank you so so much for the kind words, Nick! I really appreciate you following along and being supportive and encouraging. I'm glad that I could capture the essence of the hike :) Getting the film shown somewhere would be incredible, I will look into it :) Definitely would be a dream come true! Thank you!!
Elli, this is a lovely summary of your journey. I've watched every one of your JOGLE videos and this one brings it all together, I found it very moving, you and Otto are heroes. Thank you so much for the videos that you make, I'm currently watching your TGO Challenge videos and waiting for the final one. Good luck with everything and I will hope to meet you and Otto on a trail somewhere one day.
I've just finished watching your journey from North to South Elli, and congratulations on such an amazing achievement. You deserve to be proud of yourself! A trek like this is life changing. It's very true that all of the expectations of society can make us feel trapped, but once alone in nature, with the time to really think, without any distractions, everything becomes very clear. You realize that there is a beautiful world out there, if only we allow ourselves the freedom to experience it. So much of modern life drags our spirit and soul down, but nature will ALWAYS be there for us. That is what is real, and of great importance. Not possessions, or status. I hope you get to have many more wonderful experiences in the wild, and that the peace it brings will always find you. These feet were made for walking!
Wow, what a beautiful video ! It's amazing and true blessing that your foot pain resolved itself after 2 weeks of rest. I love the shot where you are carrying Otto through the steam...such a good mom ! Just like Eckhart Tolle says, nature teaches you presence, and as you found each day, it is amazing to leave behind things that really don't matter. I'm curious, did you also make videos in German ? My 2nd language is German, but rarely have the opportunity to use or practice, but enjoy German youtubers doing car reviews.
Oh, thank you so much for the feedback and kind and encouraging words - that really means so much :) If I wouldn't have carried Otto through the stream, he would still stand on the other side, he hates water 😅🙈 No, I didn't make videos in German yet - just too much work to do both and I thought doing them in English would include more people, especially since I'm hiking in the UK a lot.... But I'm thinking of doing some videos in German (like this one), especially ones where I would "just" need to record a German voiceover and not do an entire different video....
What an inspirational video. You managed to cram every possible emotion in to such a short video. You are so lucky to have started at such an early age. I started long-distance hiking at 65. Others take a keaf out of Ellies' book, don't wait because that day may never come. On the PF issue, I used compression socks, and it cured me within days. Might be worth.a try if it reoccurs
Thank you so so much for these kind words and the encouragement! I'm very happy that I managed to bring my thoughts and reflexions across in the video - that would be amazing if I could inspire someone to follow their dreams too 😍 Thank you so much for following along, that means so much!
What an unbelievable journey, I can't imagine the rollercoaster of emotions doing something like that. Inspiring work and I hope you are very proud of yourself and find your place in life.
Aww, thank you for your kind words! Yes, it was very special indeed and I've learned so much. Thank for appreciating the work that I put into making the film, that means so much :)
Wonderful footage, I just walked 16 miles with my dog to bivi in a woodland, unfortunately I didn't get there before dark so setting up was interesting. I didn't film much of my walk as I was so focused on getting there. I'm a lot older than you, had lots of comments about will I be safe. 5°c over night, brrr. What tent did you use?
Just one word Elli - incredible 👏👏👏 This is one of the best adventure videos I have ever seen and so inspiring! I would love to do something like this one day - chapeau to you 😜
Hahahaha, I really feel like I was "everywhere" and so happy that I got to see so many iconic and interesting places :) Thank you so much for following along :)
Thanks for sharing Eli (and Otto), what an amazing journey and story! Planning on doing Lejog or Jogle next yr taking very similar route to you including SW Coast Path, Offa’s Dyke, Pennine Way and WH Way. Would you recommend starting at JOG over starting at Lands End? Not sure of a start date yet but probably somewhere between late March and late May. Any tips very welcome 😊. Good luck on your next hike
Thank you so much for the kind words :) My advice would be: try to avoid the midge season in Scotland if possible (especially when camping). I started in April in JoG and yes, it was cold for the first 3 weeks but not horribly cold. I think you'll avoid most of the midges if you're out of the Highlands by mid/end of May, so you'd have plenty of time if you'd start sometime in April for example. The midges and the fact that I wanted to hike the SWCP in the end were the main factors why I started in JoG. Probably the biggest downside starting in JoG could be (depending if that's important to you): You'll walk in the opposite direction of basically everyone else on all biger trails (except for the SWCP), so it's harder to meet people (I mean you cross them, but probably have fewer options of meeting up with other hikers again, doing it in a small group meeting every now and then)..... That's definitely something to consider :) I hope this helps :)
Just watching this following your latest video from the Lakes (ps the spot on the little mound past the campshop to the left of the road and before the far toilet block never floods at langdale, also NT sites will always take on walk on's and make sure you get the cheaper tariff re:no car). Great content, blogs, excellent editing and score choices and a very underappreciated channel, confident it will grow with your enthusiasm, keep at it. I rarely comment on blogs but yea societal norms are hard, and so is the alternative of stepping away. For some one person's freedom is another person's prison. What i would say is the more materialist things one possesses doesnt equate to happiness, some of the most content and rich people i have met have had nothing but their health, shelter and food for the coming winter. Some of the most unhappy people i have met have had everything financially. I think when we are old the things that will matter are the places and experiences we have had, the people we have given the most precious gift of time too and our only regret's will be for the things we haven't done. Safe travels and fair skies for you and Otto :-).
THANK YOU so much for taking the time to leave such a kind and encouraging comment. That means so so much and reading this really made my day. That's so true and these were and are my thoughts too and this is why I decided to step away. It isn't always easy of course and society's expectations (or expectations of people around me) sometimes get to me, but I'm so happy that I did it. This easy life is so much more meaningful than my life was before and I'm so grateful that I get to do this and follow my passion. Thank you for your encouragement and for following along, that means the world :) PS: I think I saw the spot you're talking about, but there were already tents pitched there.....
@@ellihikes Your welcome, i would never have thought about someone from southern Germany (i love the Alps) appreciating our country so much. I adore the lakes, and parts of North Wales, but Scotland is stunning and where i spend most of my time when here. Also randomly would recommend the Outer Hebrides if you've not been before, there are some mind bending beaches on those islands on the west side, stunning sunsets (lol when it doesnt rain), some great walks, camp sopts and cheap little ferries between the islands to make your way all the way down. The people are helpful/nice too. Watched a few of your vlogs now, been enjoying the Affric vlog, people that don't know the area don't realise just how remote those areas are especially if get an injury in winter conditions. Good to see you have a Garmin, i've had to use mine (for someone that i came across that was in a bad way last winter - can attest they work, and save lifes)! One thing i might just add as never see it in your kit, but recommend having a bivy bag (even the cheap £10 plastic ones don't weigh much but can save your life until help can arrive), if the worst happens in those conditions can make the difference and provide a solid back up for a tent failure. Also i find a poncho invaluable for outdoor living, can be used all year round as a tarp for quick shelter from the rain/sun/wind, but also when it bucketing down 2 seconds on from beltkit can pull the hood over, knees up and its an immediate shelter (otto would love it also im sure) even if its just to have somewhere to have food, look at the map and just get your face our the rain for a bit lol! Fjallraven and Rab both do ok ones, the latter being lighter, both between £80-£100 ish. Safe travels and enjoy the Lakes, and yea that spot is always picked first by people that know the site. The pub there , the old dung gyhll, is always worth a pint too and its a bit of a instituition in that part of the world, bit like a smaller Clachaig Inn in Glencoe if you know that (west of the Devils staircase). PS - The last part of the Cumbrian way into Carlise is not that great. Hadriens wall is decent from there however can go from Irish Sea to North Sea, some interesting spots along the way re Romans if your into history too. Ps sorry for long message! But yea keep at it, good honest really enjoyable content edited and presented and with 5K subs your channel will start growing more, you should be asking Huel to do sponsors given it fuels your walks from what i've seen! As for making other people happy, yea family and societal norms never easier with choosing an alternative lifestyle, the only thing that matters to some extent is you never get a second chance to live today, or be happy today, it is a choice, and only you can make yourself content and fullfilled be whatever that is, well Otto a little ;-)! As i said, sure as hell not going to remember a day in an office, or some meeting. But you will remember watching a sunset, or the stunning mountain views in those special moments with yourself and Otto. All the best, sending clear skies.
Thank you so much! For filming my videos last year, I've used the gopro hero9 with an external microphone and a small selfiestick/tripod. That's it :) for voice over, I carried a small usb-c lavalier mic to connect to my ipad....
@@ellihikes Thanks so much dear Elli! that's so good of you to take the time out to hike. I'm about to start the SWCP and have loved all the help and tips you have offered along your way - what precious times you have.... enjoy your walking and thanks so much once more x
I always try to walk on the side where traffic comes from the front but there was a bit of a verge there, so had to go on the side with traffic coming from the back. But yes, it definitely was still dangerous. But with footpath closures and the other roads being motorways there was nothing but to walk along there 😖🫣
I'm blown away by all your incredibly kind comments and your support! That means more than I could ever express. Thank you so much! I will answer every comment but it will probably take another day or so. Thank you for understanding :)

Amazing journey,so inspiring, love the voice over too btw, really good video
Thank you so much! I've spent a lot of time on it (scripting and recording a voice over in a language that's not your native language) is quite a bit of work. So I'm very glad to get such positive feedback :)
Ms Elli this compilation of your and Otto’s journey is so awesome and blows me away😃
Your opening statements hit me like a ton of bricks.
You will never understand how much joy, excitement and feel good vibes you’ve brought to me by sharing your videos❤️
I absolutely loved this video,
You are an amazing young woman and an incredible inspiration
Your honest sharing of all the ups and downs, highs and lows really touches me.
Otto is such a trooper too and you guys make an awesome team.
Ms Elli thank you so very much for allowing us the privilege of following along on your continued life’s journeys. You truly are a beautiful, caring soul❤️
Thank you again.
Till next time, take care, keep safe and see ya then
👍🏻🙏🏻😃☺️
Thank you so much for sharing this! Your comment really touched me and I can't express how happy this makes me and how grateful I am that I can bring joy and maybe inspiration through my videos. That still blows my mind. Thank you for following along and your incredibly kind and supportive words, that means the world!
You’re so very welcome Ms Elli😃
You will never understand how happy I am sharing along with your and Otto’s journeys.
Otto is a lucky dog. Well done you👍
and I'm lucky to have him 😍 Thank you so much!
Such an inspirational story - Thank you Ellie & Otto for sharing - I am literally in tears by the end!
Thank you so so much for the kind words, that really means the world :)
Well done Elli. Welcome to the End to Ender Club. Otto what a Star too. 😎👍
He really is ;) Thank you so much!!
Hello Elli & Otto.
Great memories, Strange but it seem so long ago.
😋✌
Really enjoyed the video thanks Elle
Great video!
Great video and such an achievement! I remember seeing you on the Beinglas Campsite. I was there for one night on 15 May with my uncle while we were on the WHW. My uncle gave you one of his dehydrated breakfasts 😁 Otto was very friendly.
Awww, no way! Small world, of course I remember you :) Definitely had my lowest point there ..... Thank you so much for the kind words :)
You are brilliant, great series 😊
Thank you so so much :)
Very enjoyable video, I did lejog 10 years ago, wild camping, but south to north, your video brought back so many good memories and so many familiar scenes from my hike. Thanks for sharing 👍🚶subscribed
Thank you so much for following along. Lejog is quite an adventure, isn't it? 😊
This was a good one ,Elli. Loved it.
Thank you so much :)
I walked this walk 8 years ago, it really is a life changing experience. A beautiful video and an enjoyable watch. Well done to you and your beautiful dog, Otto.
It really is, a very special adventure! Thank you so much for the kind words and following along :)
I like the budgets. The more information I have the easier to estimate a budget for me.
If you scroll back a few videos, I've made a Q&A video in December where I gave more information about my budget....
treat yourself to a coffee and a snack for Otto 😊
I will, thank you so much for continued supporrt! That really goes a long way and means so much :)
Thanks for a glimpse into your life and the joys of walking with it’s ups and downs ,well done lass 🎉
Aww, thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words :)
Thankyou so much Elli and Otto, for the beautiful and inspiring video. There is nothing like a dog for a best friend and companion. ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words - that really means a lot! That's so true, dogs are amazing companions 😍
Elli and Otto, I salute you. 🫡 Your determination, spirit and sheer will to succeed, despite everything you encountered, is amazing. Your entire journey, in so many ways, is a life lesson to all. Never, ever, give up! Good luck for the future. ✊
Thank you so much for the incredibly kind and encouraging words! I really appreciate you following along and your comment made my day!! Thank you :)
Amazing, inspirational and pure. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Thank you so much, that means a lot 🥰
Brilliant film of your achievements. Moving and inspirational. You deserve more recognition and I hope you realise your dream of supporting yourself through your adventures. Good luck to you and Otto
Ohhhh, that's so kind! Thank you so much for the lovely words and your encouragement :) I really appreciate that :)
you went in search of freedom & you found it . truly inspirational 💚
Yes, I really did and am very grateful for that 😇 Thank you so much for the kind words :)
Superb! So many ups and downs. You have a charmed relationship with Otto.
Aww, that's so sweet! Thank you for the kind words :)
What a wonderful journey and adventure! Otto is a blessing. He is the perfect companion! Thank you for sharing 💜
Thank you so so much for the kind words! I really appreciate that 🥰
Wow, you're an inspiration. I love your attitude and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your videos. Thank you.
Aww, that's so kind - Thank you so much! 😇
Very, very well done, an amazing life changing experience that will live with you always.
Thank you so much for the kind words! It really was an incredible adventure :)
Thank you for putting together this documentary. Stunning footage and great narration. Congratulations on completing what looked like a really tough challenge!
Thank you so much for the kind words - that means so much and I really appreicate it :)
Congratulation. Such a great achievement for you AND Otto - what an adventure.
Aww, thank you so much! That means the world.
@@ellihikes I was very moved by Otto’s story and to see him loved so much and enjoying life. And how excited he was to see your boyfriend at walk’s end.
I think we’re both luck that we found each other. He’s such a great companion :)
Thank you so much for the kind words :) I'm so happy that I could capture the essence of our adventure :) Thank you for following along!
Hi Elli
You are very brave and courageous to attempt such a walk on your own.
Aww, that means so much! Thank you for the kind words and encouragement 🥰
Amazing! Just discovered your channel a few days ago and it's blown me away. Courageous; inspirational; life-affirming and your philosophy on life is so relatable and insightful. But these adjectives don't do justice to your adventure and the commitment to document it so beautifully. All good things for your and Otto's future quests!
Aww, that's very kind! Thank you so so much for the support and encouragement :) that means so so much 😊
This is amazing Ellie.
I just watched the film footage; stunning.!!
Thank you so so much :)
Great recap of your epic journey. All the best, and good luck further on 😊
Thank you so much, Torunn, for following along, that means so much 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing your journey the way you did!
I only just watched your series over the holidays but this was a really nice summary. Good job.
Thank you so much, I'm so glad that you're enjoying the videos :)
Til next time 😊
Wow, thank you so much for the lovely feedback and for following along! I really appreciate that and I'm so happy that you're enjoying the videos.
What an amazing, wonderful, impressive and astonishing journey. Thank you very much for sharing your adventures with us, Elli. Your channels deserves so many more views and subscribers. All the best to you!
Aww, thank you so so much for the kind words!! That really means a lot 🥹 I really appreciate you following along!!
Wow! That was epic! and what a beautiful soul you are, blessings to you dear, and may the Sun always brighten your way 🌞
🥹 aww, thank you so much for the kind words, that means so much :)
Thank you!!
So glad you have shown the beauty of the UK. And the amazing people that live on this tiny little island. Keep going ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words! It really is a beautiful country, so happy for all the kind people I met 🥰
@@ellihikes despite the reputation people say. We are mainly good people ❤️
Elli, this is a lovely summary of your journey.
That is certainly one hell of an adventure. Here's to there being more adventures for you in the future.
It really was 😄🥰 thank you so much!!
Keep safe Elli, healthy and have fun.
Thank you 😊🥰
I've just finished watching your journey from North to South Elli, and congratulations on such an amazing achievement.
Absolutely beautiful well done both of you
Wow, what a beautiful video !
Well done to you and Otto. Wish you many more adventures. Also hope to find the time to do this trail myself some day soon.
Go for it!
Thank you so much for the kind words :) It really is an amazing hike and definitely worth it :)
Ganz toll! Vielen Dank fürs Mitnehmen!
Aww, wie lieb! Vielen vielen Dank 😊🥰
Great video. Highlights so many great places that we have on our doorstep.
Thank you so much! Yes, the UK is just stunning with a lot of variation and beautiful landscapes :)
You are awesome.
😇😊😊
Wonderful footage, I just walked 16 miles with my dog to bivi in a woodland, unfortunately I didn't get there before dark so setting up was interesting.
I didn't film much of my walk as I was so focused on getting there.
I'm a lot older than you, had lots of comments about will I be safe.
5°c over night, brrr.
What tent did you use?
Waw! What a journey! Beautiful!!
Ohh, thank you so much!! :)
This was so heartwarming and moving and beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us.
aww, thank you so much! that’s very kind :) that means so much!!
Just one word Elli - incredible 👏👏👏
This is one of the best adventure videos I have ever seen and so inspiring! I would love to do something like this one day - chapeau to you 😜
Awww, that's very very kind :) thank you so much for your lovely words and encouragement! That means so much and your comment made my day 😊🥰
Oh wow... that was amazing 🙏👌💖... You are so brave and strong and your little dog 😍... Keep going lovely 😁👏😘

Wow go you, great video thanks for sharing 😊I see you were in my home town of Bath, you went everywhere xx absolutely brilliant
Hahahaha, I really feel like I was "everywhere" and so happy that I got to see so many iconic and interesting places :) Thank you so much for following along :)
Completely inspirational.
Thank you, glad you've enjoyed the video 😇
Well edited video. Really enjoyed this. Maybe we think about doing it! Good inspiration to do something crazy...
I thought I were crazy to be thinking of hiking with my dog George, he his the spitting image of Otto.
😊😍😍
what an amazing adventure and feat :-) i am planning to do the same myself ....
Lovely video. Thanks
Thank you so much :)
Very nice vid. 😊 Greetings from Sweden
Thank you so much :)
Funnily enough after 20 years I got PF again on Christmas Eve 😂 It's no problem and almost gone now.
Glad to hear that it's getting better! I've never had it before but it's so annoying and painful :/
@@ellihikes Thanks Eli, very helpful. Great point about going against the crowd too 👍
Just watching this following your latest video from the Lakes (ps the spot on the little mound past the campshop to the left of the road and before the far toilet block never floods at langdale, also NT sites will always take on walk on's and make sure you get the cheaper tariff re:no car).
Thank you for your encouragement and for following along, that means the world :)
PS: I think I saw the spot you're talking about, but there were already tents pitched there.....
Which shoes did you swap out for the Topo Pursuits you were wearing when you got the plantar fascitis?
I started with the Topo Athletic MT-4 and switched to the Altra Olympus 5 when I got Plantar Fasciitis...
you are an amazing woman
Elli - can you explain what you had to carry to do all your wonderful filming please? Thanks...
Hope you're having an amazing time 🥰 happy hiking!!
OMG...how long time this hiking take 's???
It took us 117 hiking days :)
Watch out for traffic at your back should you trek on beside highways and byways.
I always try to walk on the side where traffic comes from the front but there was a bit of a verge there, so had to go on the side with traffic coming from the back. But yes, it definitely was still dangerous. But with footpath closures and the other roads being motorways there was nothing but to walk along there 😖🫣
You did great! bring on Your companions@@ellihikes
