My baby (1975) was 9lbs 10 oz. And wouldn't turn, they let her stay inside 3 weeks belong due date. She started to be born and surprisingly turned as she was being born. The doctors said the birth would have been very painful if he had had to reach in and turn her. At that point of birth the doctor injected what I remember as an epidural (?) He missed me and injected the baby who was born blue. They laid her on my chest but would not let me touch her. I don't remember after this. The next day she was pink and she slept for several days.
She was a cry baby for 4 years and then became 'good'. She was very sensitive. In school very intelligent. But at 14 it was years of depression, running away and instability. She could not function in school. As an adult she has stayed married to one man, raised a wonderful son and had a good job for ten years, but, she and I have wondered if the epidural had something to do with her crying as a baby and the intense problems she had as a teenager. ( could you help us?)

Unless I misunderstood you but I believe It wasn’t an epidural. I believe it was a different med that’s injected around the vagina if you choose to go natural . The med can only be given while you are pushing. Epidural is injected in the back .
