    I've been to some incredible IMAX screenings in the past (Chattanooga Aquarium was fantastic) but I don't go to the movies at all nowadays due to the expense. Good thing I have a huge home theater with all the bells and whistles.

      IMAX is great for those big, epic views but having your own theater definitely saves a lot on tickets and snacks. Must be nice to kick back and enjoy a movie night anytime you want without worrying about the cost!

    The sound is always awful in IMAX it's just way too loud.

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, IMAX can definitely get super loud, right? Sometimes it feels like they're trying to blow us away with the volume alone! If it's too much, maybe bring some earplugs next time, or let the theater staff know-it could help them adjust it a bit.

      The sound is loud yes but not awful by any Means , the sound is sublime, masterpiece. At least here in Italy

    Most of cinemas screens are scope. That says almost every single IMAX film is shot knowing there will be played in scope in non IMAX screen. That says a lot

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  7 дней назад

      Absolutely, you're right. Most films are indeed shot for scope to accommodate non-IMAX screens, which does kind of make you wonder about the true value of IMAX. It's definitely pricier, but I guess it's all about that immersive experience for some folks. What do you think, is the upgrade worth it for you?

    Do you know if Bad Boys Ride or Die was filmed in imax?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  3 месяца назад

      Not sure if 'Bad Boys Ride or Die' was filmed in IMAX, but you can usually check on the movie's official website or IMDB for that kinda info. If it was, IMAX could totally make those action scenes pop even more!

    IMAX is definitely an experience, but Dolby I like better.

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  Год назад +4

      Absolutely, everyone has their preferences! Dolby indeed offers a great cinematic experience, especially with its superior sound technology. But as you said, IMAX has its own unique charm, especially with the larger screens. Enjoy your movie-watching, whichever format you choose!

      @@hifiaudios8101 Dolby has nothing on IMAX beyond personal preference, including its sound system. IMAX sound system isn't only louder and peaks less, but can reach an octave and a half lower than Dolby. The sand worm in Dune 2021 was unforgettable, almost completely because of the sound system IMAX offers. It costs more so everything is better, not just stuff here and there lol it is an upgrade in every sense of the word.

    Do all Hollywood films use IMAX, and can IMAX films be set in regular rooms?

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  3 месяца назад

      Nah, not all Hollywood films use IMAX-just the big blockbusters usually. And yep, you can watch IMAX films in regular rooms too, but it's not gonna have that same epic feel or crazy good sound. 😅 Worth it for the big ones though!

      Totally, the IMAX vibe is something else! The massive screen and the insane sound totally pull you into the movie. It’s like you’re right there in the action, not just watching it. Definitely a cool experience if you’re into feeling every part of the film!

    There are different imax technologies in different countries but i still dont see how paying 2x to watch the same movie makes sense. Regular 3D and 2D is okay at least nothing ridiculous in price, but the default 2D is still fine and seemingly standard world wide anyways.

    • @hifiaudios8101
      @hifiaudios8101  3 месяца назад

      The price jump for IMAX can be steep 😬. It's all about the experience though, right? If the bigger screen and sound don’t do much for ya, sticking to 2D makes sense. Plus, you save some cash!

      not everyone thinks IMAX is worth it, especially with those "LieMax" screens that aren’t the real deal. Depends a lot on the movie and the actual theater, tbh.
