helo, I have question, gl553vd motherboard issue my super io is not warm/hot - is cold when I plugged the charger..it has 3.3v coming into chip, no charging light/no orange light nothing is lighting..can be problem with super i/o even my super i/o is not hot? I checked whole motherboard and nothing looks burnt and nothing is hot..I checked short on power main rail and all is good, 19v is present..so my question is can be super i/o faulty even if it’s not getting hot and has 3.3v?
Does my motherboard can be fix if one of the tiny resistor surrounded the super Io chip got missing? My PC still runs but no display on my monitor, also power led and hdd led did not light.
I wonder when you will cover topics such as what power signals do and which signal performs which task? I would appreciate it if you could give me information, it is very important for me.
my daughter accidentally spill some water on my laptop. when i switch it on after cleaning, it get on but the keypad and mouse pad not responding. i gave it to repair. the person told that there is problem in I/O chip as it stops taking input n output but no problem in keypad and mouse pad. is it so? and if then what should be done as he said use external keyboard and mouse. pl suggest me should i go to change i?O controller? or any other way
Thanks sir , if i can question.. i have nv 871 Lenovo ideapad gaming 3 have a short circuit in 3vl line , i removed the super io and the short had gone but when I plugged in the charge to check the voltage the 3valw and 1.05 lines now having short circuit and the pch chip is heating . Question: Was I the one who caused the short circuit when I connected the charger without the io chip and why?
Bro, you made an error, when you removed the super IO you should check if the short circuit was removed using just the Multimeter without plugging the charger, You made the short circuit again when you connected the charger (You removed The power supervisor (SIO) and you connect the power ??!! ).
