Hey thanks dude! :) Glad you like it 🤘 Really appreciate it and I’m excited about the new color I was almost a bit hesitant about the new design at first, I knew it was my favorite but idk, maybe it was too out there But then like… wait, aren’t I with Schecter? Haha I’ll just make the exact one I like Glad people are digging it like I am
Been playing Ibanez and Jackson guitars for 30 years. I just bought my first Schecter and I love it. I got a C-1 hellraiser sustainiac, it plays like butter.
Schecter also has the Aaron Marshall Schecter USA guitar coming out soon...the one they just released is an extension of the AM-6 they released in 2022 with some changes to the body (flat top this time instead of carved), different neck (maple vs. wenge) and the new blue color. He had one on the tour late last year opening for TesseracT and he also had the USA version which should be out by mid year...I hope. I think Schecter is doing what many guitar companies are doing...instead of a huge dump of new guitars right around NAMM, they are trickling them out throughout the year. I think it is a smarter approach as it keeps you interested and their name top of mind.
For some reason, in the comments, I see a lot of people thinking that this is all Schecters gonna do for the rest of the year. For the past 4 or 5 years now... They have not done a full reveal of their plans or lines at the beginning of the year like other brands. They just continually release things whenever they feel like it. This helps with supply too. They have hinted that some new lines and new models are coming out later in the Spring so just keep an eye out. They are not done 😂
I love glassjaw! When I heard about this signature and seen an initial pic of it I was kind of surprised. Definitely not what I expected considering what he usually plays. I’m not disappointed tho!
I had the pleasure of meeting John at a Monuments show in Toronto back in 2022. Got to jam Cardinal Red with the band on John’s red mayones before the schecter sig came out. Such a great dude and an absolute master of his craft.
I wrote a long comment in response to several of the guitars, but RUclips decided to throw it into the void. Still, thanks for the commentary. All the best!
I did end it with a funny note, which was to imagine the color scheme of the Banshee (red and black) and swap it out (either way) with baby blue and pastel pink. Different vibe, eh? Funnier thing is, it'd look cool.
I bought a Japanese schecter about 2 months ago when i was in Denver. I am still in love with it. I had no intention of buying a schecter , i was looking at the ESP USA models. I was dead set on an ESP, but i picked up that schecter, and i pretty much forgotten about anything else. It's worth every penny. I regret not buying two of them. 1 for live use and studio work. You're absolutely correct they have a strong lineup.
This channel has helped me so much, and even thought I just got a new guitar, this channel already got me looking at some options for the future. I kinda wish I found this channel before I got my new guitar! (I'm satisfied with it btw.) Not to mention the theory and riff videos that you teach, amazing! Big thanks man!
The good thing about schecter (among other good things) is that schecter will continue to release guitars all year. Contrasted with other companies that drop the full lineup at the beginning of the year and that’s all we have to look forward to whether we like them or not.
Recently I saw an interview with the head of Dean Guitars and he said they’re going to release new stuff throughout the year. I’m assuming quarterly? But yeah, you’re spot on with companies going to multiple releases for their new stuff.
I think we’re at this great point with signature models, with most brands, where they’re just better-looking or better spec’d versions of existing models, to the point where it’s not even obvious that it’s ’someone else’s guitar’. And the prices barely change. Some folks have odd opinions on sig models and steer clear of them. But I bought Aaron Marshall’s Schecter AM-6 before knowing who he was. It was just a great guitar that I fell for instantly. A lot of guitars have evolved due to artist involvement too - think Satch with the S Series, Vai and the Jem (there’d be no RG without it!) and I think Rabea will have a similar impact with the Music Man Sabre (another guitar I really can’t wait to try, although may wait for the Sterling version 🤑)
@7:30 reminds me of those old Aria Pro ii, natural colored guitars. Can't remember the series name. Also, I wish Schecter would do more with the E series. I love a good explorer style guitar.
I have 16 Schecter including a few from the early 80s. I also just got the Schecter reaper six FRS elite in red it is sick. It rivals a lot of my American guitars.
The C-1 FR-S SLS Elite I bought a few months ago is the most staggering bang for buck I've ever seen. Hot rodded to the gills, beautiful, and plays like butta! Schecter is doing us a solid lately.
I already have my Kenny Hickey signature C-1 from Schecter and that's all I need! So personally this small run doesn't bother me much, but I can see how many would be upset.
It's only the beginning of the year. Shecter will continually release models throughout the year and probably a few new lines as well. They've hinted at some newer stuff coming later in the spring
Cool to see them using the D'Addario Auto-trim locking tuners on that Justin Beck - Ani. I've put them on a couple of my guitars. Those things are sweet!
I thought it was a great video! As a player for now over a year and about 4 months I have a Jackson King V 32T, a Jackson JS32-7 with seymor duncan nazgul sentients, and a Ibanez (my favorite, and first guitar) RG6003FM. I want an acoustic next but after that, my next heavy piece I've been eyeing up Schecter!
The sls elite with the floyd and the sustainiac in amber fade cant be beat. Wish my evil twin 7 had a floyd or even more an evertune. I have a reaper 6 frs which is a beast by itself, but....
The new Schecter PT Classic isn’t a signature model and looks like it could be one of the best new guitar models in the industry, at the same time it seems to be completely flying under the radar.
Hey man.. question for you. I’m looking to get another guitar. I’ve played mostly LPs (60’s) Strats (mod c) and PRS ( p thin). I’m debating between a Schecter C-1 SLS Evil Twin and a M series LTD. Strictly for heavier styles. Problem is no one has anything in stock so I can’t test drive it.. any input on neck shapes .. ? And quality of either build?

Don’t have a problem with mgk having a signature guitar and being able to have whatever he wants made. Have a problem with them selling a goofy looking guitar for 1400 dollars. No one buying that thing for that price
I'm becoming rather bored with most of the new "metal guitars" in recent years because it's primarily just the same thing over & over again; basic Strat-esque body shape with modern pickups, hardware, and electronics. It seems like we're seeing less & less of the Warlocks, King Vs, Explorers, etc. and more & more double cut super Strat type stuff. It's just not very exciting to me. Even just something more unique like a Ravelle or Tempest or something would catch my interest more at this point.
Wanted to buy a Schecter C-1 SLS elite blood burst hard tail from Sweetwater and found out they dont stock that model anymore but would special order it and it would not be returnable. WTF! Schecter is going too hard IMO with the artist models. Not my taste at all especially these stupid colors some artists choose. Just my opinion mind you.
The MGK is a classic example of "all publicity is good publicity". It is ugly and silly...and that is why people are talking about it. I couldn't care less about who MGK is or what kind of music he makes - I wouldn't buy the guitar but it created controversy and made people talk about him and Schecter.
