Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver are ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT together. I mean, my god, this is the first time we've officially met either character and you can FEEL the history they share in that one conversation on the beach 🏝
Gosh i love Juliet and i'm so happy you grew to love her too! She is my favorite part of Lost. I think she is so inspiring! crazy how at the beginning we think she's a bad guy and selfish. It's true, she is too good for her own good.
Elizabeth Mitchell did a phenomenal job as Juliet. The layers she provided. Even if you didn’t like Juliet (I loved her), I thought the acting was top notch.
Its interesting he thinks that Jacob helped cause Nadia's death. I always read that scene as Jacob preventing Sayid's death alongside her. But since we never get a bird's eye view, we don't know if Sayid and Nadia would have both cleared the path of the oncoming car if they hadn't been interrupted. (She was stopped and looking back when she got hit)
I don't know if we can trust Ben, but in the season 4 episode Shape of Things to Come, Ben shows sayid a picture of the driver, saying he targeted her (and probably him). It's possible she was targeted and it wasn't an accident at all and Jacob did in fact save him. The same dude was at Nadia's funeral in Iraq, so he definitely had some kind of vested interest in Sayid, but it's all a matter of if you can believe what Ben is saying.
Andrea Gabriel, the actor who played Nadia, was one of the more active cast and crew that would stop by The Fuselage and "hang out", answer questions and such. Very smart, funny and kind.
Oh, man . Do I love Rose & Bernard here. They are the embodiment of acceptance & how much peace comes through that. Everyone else (those who are younger?) just fights against nature in hopes of controlling their future and how much chaos that creates. Granted, some of us are hard wired to resist and thrive to some degree in the drama pool.
I think Rose and Bernard prove Jacob was right. They are not corrupted and for the most part are not involved in the conflicts. (other than Bernard shooting the bomb in the tent). The fact they are black and white is symbolic of the black and white sides (rocks) living in harmony instead of on different sides.
Ben and Widmore playing checkers while Jacob and Man in Black (as he's called) out here playing chess for 100s of years and you didn't even know it. Also, to reiterate what others have said... Don't think Jacob killed Nadia, but likely saved Sayid. Soooo looking forward to next episode.

@@kevinjoy7728 Radzinsky was a guy who wanted to be the next Edison and all he did was doom the island and himself to spend years pressing the button (to undo his mistake). it’s safe to say he shot himself.
I always read the Jacob/Sayid flashback as Jacob preventing Sayid from also being hit by the car. I don't think the guy in the car had anything to do with Jacob, we do see him on 4x09 and he was attending Nadia's funeral most likelly following Sayid to maybe finish the job. I also think the reason why Jacob only rescues Sayid and not both, is because Sayid would never be in the path of returning to the island if she was still alive and married to him. Jacob brings people to the island for a reason (as it was stated/implied on the first scene of this finale) so he had to let her die because Nadia would be an impediment in Sayid's return.
Was it ever confirmed that the guy intentionally killed Nadia? I always assumed that Ben was just playing Sayid when he told him about it. But it's been a while since I last rewatched the show so I don't remember.
I don't see it as Jacob only rescuing Sayid. I see it as Jacob deliberately causing Nadia's death by stopping Sayid to ask him for directions. Because, as you pointed out in your second paragraph, if Nadia hadn't died, there's no way Sayid would have ever returned to the island. And it was imperative that he did so. The way I see it, sadly Nadia was a sacrifice that the island demanded.

Kate is not "run" .. Kate is Save. Her fatal flaw which she turns into her strength is the fact that she doesn't think she is good and so she over compensates. This drives her to "Save" for the very reason Jack is driven to fix. It's also why she is drawn to Jack even though he is a Jerk. She values his code, and yearns for his code to be hers. This is why she kills her father to begin with yet can't admit the true reason. He was bad. He was living proof of an insecurity she already had yet made flesh. She killed him for herself. To save herself. Beginning with her very first flashback in S1:EP3 we witness Kate's penchant for saving with the Australian farmer, first by helping him with the farm and then by pulling him from the car crash. We then learn saving her mom was the secondary reason she killed Wayne. She needs the plane which reminds her of how "bad" she is, To saving Cassiday when she's selling fake jewelry, To sowing Jack up, To her desire to save the Marshall from suffering by having him killed To going with Jack to the Cockpit To going to find the radio signal, To always tagging along whether wanted or not, To Kate asking Jack to save Sawyer by doing Ben's surgery, To going back after Jack when he's with the others even when he said not to, To becoming Aaron's mother, To saving young Ben's life To stopping Jack from attempting Faraday's plan, To the very reason she came back to the island .... To Save Claire and reunite her with Aaron. Every hero's journey from Luke to Neo to Harry to Jack and even to Kate is one that ultimately leads the hero to do what they were always going to do, to make the decision they were always going to make yet were initially unable to accept they indeed could.
