Love your videos, and if I may suggest - I like it that Hasbro is not forcing you to drink their Kool-Aid. The Hasbro ML fanboys are a little hard to take when looking for a sincere review. As with Sabretooth's "1st appearance" product, this one is riddled with inaccuracies as well. Tony's eyes were visible thru the slots. The nipples buttons are below the reactor not above. And depending on references (Ditko or Kirby) there are also lines from mid chest up to the collar with a gold belt buckle. Tony Stark's portrait is incorrect as well. Tony at the time he was wearing this suit had much shorter hair - THIS portrait is more reflective of his 70's look. In fact, this portrait doesn't look like ANYONE from 1964. And Hasbro wants me to accept these compromises and spend my $$$ on it? Hmmmmm, yeah, I don't think so. Before ordering, just take a look at the total price you will be paying for this compromise. Compare that $$$ to what you would receive with a Marvel Select or a McFarlane figure instead and it doesn't take long to figure out what Hasbro is doing.
Anthony, you’re correct the OG series 1 iron man has a smooth head. I own it, also it’s missing the disks that go on his hip. The OG one you could pull irons front face off to reveal Tony Starks face, kinda like figuarts. I wonder if those fist hands are from Spider-Man? I got Ironman, hulk and Capt because I have the OG ones, if they come out with torch and Submariner I’ll get them too , but that’s it. I’ll display them all unopened.
Nah, these fists are definitely for an Iron Man figure. They have sculpted repulsors in them, these are the same from the 80th anniversary Iron Man, which is a better looking figure than this one in my opinion.
Yeah I could see Hasbro sending Anthony something new to show to people, but also he’s always going to be honest less forgiving than some if he doesn’t like a sculpting decision or something is more lackluster than it should be. Looks like a McDonald's toy Ironman... Classic Cap and Hulk looks great especially the Hulk with additional shading and dark wash, this is Ironman looks kids collectibles like McDonald's or Jollibee's toys.
I think the retro line would might have been worth the money if they'd been new sculpts. But we get the 80th Iron Man for like the 58th time, the 80th Hulk for the 74th time and the 80th Cap again which (I think) reuses a load of parts from the absolutely ancient Capwolf figure. These base bodies are so old and so well used that charging this kind of money for them feels insulting even if they do come with new headsculpts, some cool accessories and nostalgis-inducing packaging.
Only one that seems totally new is Toad, but aside from being in high demand, I'm personally not sold. Looks cool, but at $35, looking cool isn't enough
@@nan0artz92 That's pretty irrelevant to anyone looking for Marvel characters. I agree that legends have become too expensive for what they are, but that comparison doesn't make a lot of sense.

I kinda want one of the bases to add some silver Rub 'n' Buff to just to show how dope it'd look with some effort put into it. They should've made the backdrops as big as the actual comic, not tiny
The Hulk looks cool, but not a big enough upgrade for the price. I bought and like the Cap, but downgrading the hips from the 80th with sculpted wrinkles and far better range to the old limited hips was a bad/weird choice. This one actually has the least reuse because that's a brand new torso and crotch! Why did they use budget on that when the 80th was already almost exactly the same? That tooling budget should have been spent on a diorama base, or not spent at all to lower the price for the line. Cool head sculpts across the board though.
I don't think the smoke is supposed to go around the wrists and ankles. I feel they made the blast effects smaller for the smoke effect to wrap around it with the peg of the blast sticking just past the smoke. Helps with the "smoke is behind the source of the blast" problem
The head is obviously new but the torso and crotch in this figure are actually new, passed on this figure, too expensive especially where I live, all marvel legends are becoming ridiculously expensive so they become even more expensive where I live
I’m sorry, but when I look at this figure I just don’t see a “collectible” quality to it. The colors are way too saturated. I get why they did it since that’s how he was colored in the older comics but I always imagined Iron Man’s armor having a reflective quality to it since it’s made of metal. I still think the 80 years Iron Man has a fantastic color scheme since it actually looks like he’s wearing a metal suit and the colors pop out more. Even AI Iron Man looks more appealing than this one even though they have the same bright color scheme. The only appealing aspect of this figure is the Tony Stark head, which I can live without. Other than that, he does not look like a $35 figure.
I thought this would be one that if I saw it in store I'd pick it up, saw it yesterday and gamestop and at that 31.99 price point I just couldn't pull the trigger.
I really like this retro line, I want more. But they are overpriced. They should all be pinless as well. This Iron Man should have had more accessories. Oh and the reason why hasbro doesn't send you figures for reveals, is because you keep it real and call them out whenever their product isn't acceptable. Which we appreciate.
@@muisverriet The 80th release was a different armor design. I specifically referred to this armor being in gold. Hoping to complete the Iron Legion that appeared in Iron Man issue #300 back in 1994, the first appearance of the modular armor. I thought this would be one that if I saw it in store I'd pick it up, saw it yesterday and gamestop and at that 31.99 price point I just couldn't pull the trigger.
Hasbro should be using pinless joints by now.
The extra hands for the premium line could be better.
Even tho I like this design of iron man, the asking price of $35 is not worth it for what it has imo
Hasbro Legends are just repaints at this point the price increase is totally bs
your videos are the true meaning of toy review..
This isn’t a full re-used buck. It’s got new parts
Yes, technically.
Of course Hasbro doesn't want Anthony to reveal their figures, because he would tear them apart lol
I'll be honest I only got this figure for the charles bronson looking head for a death wish figure I wanna do lol
I thought about that when i saw it.
any updates on your toy line?
Still in development
Thank you for the review again. Would you go with this one or the previous 80th anniversary version? They both seem to have issues.
Just personal taste for colors really
80 years is my pick, but it's a little pricey. Even still you get more value with it looking like a premium collectible
@@AnthonysCustoms Thank you. Did they fix the bicep mismatch on this one?
Saw him at gamestop earlier, noticed the paint defects and the 32$ price tag. Easy pass, and this just confirmed it.
I passed on this one. Very over priced for what it is imo
expect hasbro to reuse and keep pushing the price.
I think maybe you are too honest in your personal assessments for Hasbro's liking .
I hope they'd make a version of this in gold instead of yellow.
That would be good.
If they made this in gold, the heads could swap with the other Iron Man.
They did. The 80th anniversary release.
@@muisverriet The 80th release was a different armor design. I specifically referred to this armor being in gold.
Hoping to complete the Iron Legion that appeared in Iron Man issue #300 back in 1994, the first appearance of the modular armor. If ever Hasbro decides to do the other designs which is most likely going to happen except for one.
The one I bought has basically no articulation in the legs
Hmm, reused body re-released figure for $40? Or buy another of the 40x copies they made of this buck for $20? 🤔 🤔 🤔
You argue about 35 dolar for this figures, in my country this one cost 60 bucks
But that's the conversion. And it doesn't mean it's worth that much.
@@AnthonysCustoms I agree, but bad decision of our president make and inflation so I will pass on this.
Agreed. Not enough bang for the buck with these new price points. I'm out.
I got to the bit with the hands
"The repulsor hands..."
Don't say it...
"...don't have..."
Oh, fuck me...
"...a hinge in them."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!
I love this mold but a disappointedly sloppy release and that price hurts
Definitely overpriced. I picked up Cap for my core Avengers display as I’d missed out on the 80th. At least he came with a bunch of cool stuff but this Iron Man is insulting at the price point.
Toad looks to be even more disappointing in that regard but again, core Brotherhood character so I pre-ordered him
this or modular ironman (ursa major wave)?
upcoming carded release
yeah, this one does seem like a kick in the sack. they couldn't be bothered to throw in at least a few booze bottles, half eat pizza in box, maybe? some spilled over Asian cuisine maybe? vomit pile?
"hasblow" you are seriously tripping! and it's sad to see. fans first my ass. lol
looks like spiderman hands
All these figures are gonna be high in price now but what can we do
Not but them
Thank you for the review I have been waiting on this one and we all know why Hasbro won't reach out to you lol
Hasbro only sends reviews out to boot kissers.
Just a comment reminder to request the Zombie Captain America figure XD
If i ever decide to get one I'll review it for sure
Hasbro has been so greedy lately and this is the perfect example.
I agree with your critics.
Thanks for the review Anthony.
🤘
Marvel Legends Charles Bronson
I have the original. But it’s falling apart.
Hi hello
Cant wait for you to review Toad. That is a horribly overpriced figure
i used to like marvel ,now I'm more closer to dc
I hate that!! They just slap crap together willie-nillie and really miss the mark sometimes. The hand color difference is minor to me, Now things I hate. They go all the.trouble to make this figuers posible and then slap a hard platic hair piece or cape on the figuer that just undoes all the effort they put in to MAKE it POSSIBLE. Ie the box set(s) of the X-Men. First class Jean h actuap nylon hair cool Angels one foot is crafted wierd. But then when they Storm of the New X-men they put a hard plastic hair piece on her. One of the identifing features of Storm when she first apper3d was her long white/platnium hair! It wouod have been nice if the Irom Man arom couod have been renovible at leat the helmet. I.belive they d8d the fantastic for, but not the flip top box with thier first issue on it, at least that Ive seen. They aJohnnynTorm/Human Torch fig. They hay theHuman Torchs body then get to shoupders/neck and its Johnny. For what they charge I would have expected a SuebaStorm figuer AND a Invisiblegirl figuer.I think had rearranged how they fit the characters in the box they coukd have gotten Franklin and Herby in there. There should have a extra figuer or extension parts for Reed/Mr Fantastic. I widh they had down Alpha Flight like this instead of break8ng them down in two to a pack. Ppace them right you could have gotten Snowbirds owl/woverine and possible a bear??? Walter then snap on pieces to turn him into Sasquatch. Set 2 Alpha Fl8ght Puck. Talismen Puck , Box and Marinia. The New Mutants. Generation X. The HellfierClub ( I think I may haveseen itsomewher but not possitive) nd the Hellions. The Defenders The Invader Sidemans Rouges Gallery.the Brotherhood of Evil Mutnts....Magnetos and Ravens. So many possitbilities so many opportunities missed. I just happened to come across them because a (now defunt) toy store I used to go to was closing and they didnt want to count the inventory cause I KNOWN I never of this line.
Did Cap and Iron Man, kiss??? 😳😳
Hasbro needs you dude!
I Am Iron Man
not worth the price figurewise
The yellow is very ugly, even if looks like the the old Time. The Hulk and Captain were better
The 80th anniversary versions is so much better than this turd
"Yeah so his shoulder is like .02 centimeters too small, I'll give it a 6/10"
?
@@inhhuytran5055 Hasbro fanboys that are trying to rationalize their purchases.
@@TheMattTrakker This dude literally buys all their figures and makes the absolute dumbest nitpicks about them.
Yet you had to make something up to criticize me. Interesting.
@@NelsonMandela1million Yeah, he reviews them. I'm sure Anthony makes more money on the videos, especially with sponsors, than he pays for a ~$30 legends figure.
