What have you got for a box mounted on the tow bar with room for a battery. Tie downs solar charger lights. I have seen a couple that others have made but I haven’t that talent.

You left out a huge benefit to the steel trailer. Easy to repair or modify! Steel is easy to weld with basic equipment. Hell you can weld off of a couple 12volt car batteries hooked up in series. Everyone has a stick welder and some 7018. Aluminum not so much going to need a mig or tig welder, somewhere out of the wind to weld due to the shielding gas getting blown away, and some welding skills that most people don’t have. Even if your going to take it to a shop for repairs or modifications, any mechanic anywhere in the world can cut and weld steel, aluminum again not nearly as common. Years ago when I worked as a mechanic I don’t believe any shops I worked at were set up to weld aluminum! You can’t just feed aluminum through a mig welder without ether a Teflon liner or a spool gun. Then you need a cylinder of pure argon. Your C25 or C10 mig gas ain’t going to work on aluminum!

If one was going to load (one time) a jeep, would an aluminum trailer be sufficient to carry the weight?

That more so depends on the axles and the style of trailer
