It's difficult to share your most hurtful secrets when there's a camera and crew in your face.
Right!? There's no way I'd open up either. It's therapy for crying out loud. It's supposed to be private.
Then why did you sign a contract allowing this so called reality show to be everywhere with you? You want the big $$, you agreed to a contract giving up those privacy rights. Even the therapist didn't fight the cameras. Tammy, either you're doing the show, the WHOLE show, or your not. You've got to be driving the crews NUTS with your attitudes. DAMN!
I guess the therapist didn't understand that she couldn't close the door. Obviously this woman can barely move. All the therapist had to do is get out of her seat and takes her 5 seconds to close the door.😮 Easily
It shouldn't hurt when its solely your decision to get cameras involved in your personal life for publicity and money!

Her mom talks to her like she’s skinny. Like, yeah she’s not as big but baby, you could use a diet too.
This a horrible therapist. She came to you because she needs help, if she had the answers or knew anything why would she come see you. Maybe you just let her open up to you and listen. Annoying.. why does everything need an answer or have to be questioned. Just let her talk..
This therapist was pretty good in my opinion. She immediately greeted Tammy in a nice way. When you go to a therapist for the first time, they are going to ask questions, in order to get to know you and understand you as a person and what your going through. This is so that later on, when you continue to visit, they can help you more and more. But she can’t help her if Tammy doesn’t help herself. It may have also been that there were cameras in the room but at thw same time, she has posted on all sorts of social media and her story is very much out there already. But I would say that for a mental health session like that, you need to be totally alone without cameras.
The therapist was just fine. It was Tammy’s horrible bad attitude that was the prob. She treats everyone like shit because she’s uncomfortable.
Honestly the therapist annoyed me from the beginning when she was just sitting there looking at Tammy, like get up and greet her damn
I liked how the therapist broke the ice and called her out for being irritable. It's difficult as everyone reacts differently when on camera whether concious or subconsciously. I also think the therapist was trying to relate but she had Tammy's resistance from walking into the room. I like the therapists impressions towards the end showing such compassion and advice.
Tammy didn't decide to go to therapy dang it. Her weight Dr wanted her to see a therapist. She said herself she didn't wanna go🤦🏾♀️
When she is asked when she eats and her response is "Clearly, all the time."😂

She's nothing more than a useless, childish, pathetic, insensitive and lazy foolish woman who makes ridiculous excuses not to help her health and ease her addiction for mostly unhealthy food ngl... If she values food more than her life and health, let her be until she dies so young the way she is

Yes. She sure made a big deal about Tammy closing the door. She could easily see that she was having trouble breathing
She rapidly cycles from happy memories to doubt/inflection. Having someone to talk to will definitely help her rather than people talking with her on social media..or family that can only do so much.
This therapist is very ineffective. Therapy is a very personal experience; having a session like this is only putting her on the defensive. How can she is be expected to be successful?? I think this program is taking advantage of her, imo.

@@cynthiaq1073I highly doubt this specific therapist picked her as a patient and doubt it was her idea to have the camera crew there. This was tlc and Tammys call.

Tammy doesn't face her problems, she hides a LOT! and when she's told to deal with situations, she gets defensive, then blames everyone else. Typical insecurity!
Probably due to her having cameras in her face. She has a right to feel uncomfortable, and to hide some things, because she may not want the whole world to hear sour her personal matters

If it was a man Tammy would open up. she seems to be more concerned with finding a man. She's horrible treating that therapist so wrong.
The therapist does not help her to feel comfortable. She’s so unprofessional her demeanour was awful. Therapy would help Tammy but this therapist is ridiculous.

Well, that's not true. She feels horrible, can barely breathe and in fact HAS changed by losing a considerate amount of weight.

I hurt for her watching this. I'm a recovering addict and she reminds me a lot of myself when I was using. Doesn't matter what you're addicted to it's all addiction & so it's all the same feelings their. I hope she does this. If I could do , I know she can.
I feel like Tammy isn't comfortable with talking about it, because it's a personal matter, and she has cameras, and everything in her face. Honestly, I wouldn't feel comfortable neither
This is something that needs to be issued off camera and she needs to come back in a couple of years to show her results..

She knew the camera was going with her and she didn't have to agree to them being there.
That 'therapist' needs to leave that laptop alone, get off her stupid scripted questions and just engage person to person. Follow a conversation instead of shutting everything off just to ask the next random, unassociated question. If she was any good, she would know what was going on and how to help just by talking. Looks like she wants to generate a score or 'result' just by ticking boxes. Pathetic.
I agree that she did seem very standoffish and disconnected, although the first session, especially they have to ask all those questions.
I have a pretty good idea what might have happened to her when she was a child... And she could never tell anyone about it. That trauma and hurt turned into a food addiction to 'protect herself' and to suffocate her feelings with.
But I do believe there's a single 'event' that started this all, whether it happened once or several times.
Yeah and how is she gonna talk about that with a camera crew in her face…

I could never stick with therapy because I always felt like I was being interrogated. It always felt like I was being interviewed. Like I just met you, how can I just open up and tell you all my deepest darkest secrets when I just met you like 5 minutes ago.

Therapy doesn't work for everyone. I hope it works for her. ❤ " How does that make you feel?" I don't care for this particular therapist's demeanor. Clearly, talking down to her.
That was my impression too, I’d request a different therapist after that one session
Only therapy I ever went to was after I was in shooting as Officer. To be honest I had some 20 something year old who probably just moved out of her parents home. Having here read me cliche questions straight from psych book was as insult. She would not accept that I had no guilt shooting someone who killed my friend and fellow Officer and then tried to shoot me. Nope I was glad I shot him. It had to be done.
Tammy hides a alot and when she's told to deal with situations she gets defensive then blames everyone else for she is insecure asf she needs to work on tht or no one is goin to want to help her she got alot to work other thn her wait and her sister is starting to fall off the boat to and keeps blaming it on here pregnacy. just my thoughts🤷♂
Shes like the useless therapist I talked too, they never ask the right questions.
They dont even care. Last time i paid good money for someone and was being rushed to finish up while in tears before my time was done. Just because someone else was already outside waiting. I paid for my hour and should get my full hour, not 50 mins. I also just got sick of the free therapy where you tell your story multiple times and just keep getting passed around to re tell the same trauma
My old therapist would literally be ON HER FUCKING PHONE during our appointment. Like the whole time she was scrolling on her phone, and she’d always end the appointment early. I didn’t report her but I hope someone else does because she is useless and making a shit ton of money that she doesn’t deserve.
I have had a lot of similar experiences with therapist. I am lucky now to have found one who is very good. I hope you can find someone who will be helpful to you. Although apparently a clinical hour is 50 minutes, so that is the full time but that does not make it any less irritating.
@@kayleeriley3591 well then she should have explained that to me, the average person doesnt know that. Especially since i was a young teen. You dont just kick someone out the way she did while im in tears and then make me feel like im the problem. She had no business being in that field when i look back. You know when you can just tell someone is annoyed and in a rush? That was her. My mom got me one of the most expensive therapists, 100s for that 50min. I think i deserved better. At least a warning saying we have 10 or 15 mins left
@@kayleeriley3591 im glad you were able to find someone who works for you:) I gave up years ago after those experiences just added to what i was already going through. It can be tough sometines but i get through it
Tammy has really come SO far since this visit but this ‘therapist’ is insufferable…and clueless and when Tammy starts to open up the therapist ignores, minimizes and cuts her off to stick to her PREPARED SHTICK…I’m not overweight but she would make me go home and stuff my face😱

The area that they are from is hard to survive in if you are healthy and came from a good family. There are not much opportunities and resources around the area in which they live. It is quite isolating. I feel like Amy and Tammy are judged a little too harshly most of the time. They were two little girls with pretty much all of the odds stacked against them. I think it’s amazing that they are losing the weight and trying so hard to improve their health.
