First time seeing your videos. Welcome to WA! I moved from NJ to WA back in 1992. I live in the southeast part of the state….where it’s desert. We have sagebrush and tumbleweeds here. The west coast is so beautiful. When my husband was alive we traveled a lot because we were both disabled and had the time. I lost him August of 2017. Just before we found out he was sick, we bought a small motorhome with traveling all over in mind. I want to get rid of the motorhome and house and get a camper van….I can’t afford the gas the motorhome uses, plus it’s me and a cat, we don’t need much room. The King tides sure did a number on that area. I’m almost 60 and have wanted to road trip since I was little….I hope I can make things work this year to get out and start my adventures. I subscribed so I can see your adventures.
That is awesome! That’s great you guys were able to travel and experience that together! We’re sorry for your loss, sounds like you had an amazing time together! We would definitely recommend a van that is not an extended size because we are on a 144 wheel base and very easy to drive. Hope you can get back out there and start adventuring again! Thanks for watching happy to have you along for the journey! 🙏🏻
The Washington coast is a rain forest. It is always raining except in the late summer. Come to the North Puget Sound area. Whidbey Island is my home and we get 300 days a year of sun. They call it the blue hole. Check it out.
It’s so amazing up here with the rain forest so cool! It’s a nice change from 115 degree heat 😂 We will definitely check that out, so much to see up here! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Highly recommend if you're going to the Washington coast that you check out the tsunami evacuation plan prior to going. Near the Olympic forest out there is Moclips is a huge fault line! So if you happen to be out at the coast and the big one hits you better know how to get out of there! Your going to have a few minutes to run, if even that.
Yep! We saw that in the town we are staying in right now. We’re just helping out a medical team here for a short time. We definitely have had some very high winds and the river level has gotten pretty high too. Thanks for the information we appreciate it!
K-lay-lock. From the Quinault tribe.Meaning a good place to land. Welcome to WA. Hope your sticking around for awhile. Suppose to warm up next wk & the sun is suppose to come out! My 1st time to watch, great video. Enjoy WA 🙂❤
It’s awesome to see all the history up here from the tribes, we a lot of history in Phoenix too which is amazing to learn about when coming to new areas. We will be here for a little bit and so excited for a little break in the weather we have something’s to add to the van before it rains again 😂 thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
I live in Westport, Wa,,,, the reason the stairs to the tree of life are messed up is because we have had 2 King tides..... you can read about them on the web......
That’s good to know! It was beautiful to see and the ocean up here is just amazing! We want to go to the Hoh Rain Forest too and saw the road is close for repairs right now until March. Thanks for watching! 😊
This is our first time up and and we are loving it!! We had to leave Phoenix it was getting to be to much and we needed a change! Thanks for watching! 😊
Yes, not enough Dutch ☹️ up here in upper western WA. Anyways, just found your channel. Wish I knew more about y’all & your travel plans. I’m a Kitsap County old gal. You’re doing my dream. Enjoy our beautiful state, rain & all. Until you’ve done all 4 seasons here, you’ll never truly get our state. You’ll only know snippets, which is still great but the whole picture so much more satisfying.
We’re surprised not more Dutch since there headquarters was in OR but we heard they moved down to Phoenix which is home for us. We would love to do all 4 seasons here were both originally from Buffalo NY and Cincinnati Ohio so we did have seasons at some point just not in Phoenix LOL We plan on doing a 2025 update video explaining our plan for this year we think it be good to share 😊 so far we are loving Washington. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Be careful of sneaker waves and any logs -they can do a number on you if the water moves them. If you do any sightseeing close to Seattle- Dash point camp ground south of the city. Nice beach, close to shopping. You can take a bus into the city 👍. If you visit the Des Moines marina, the coffee/beer place will validate your parking. Or park above the marina and walk down the hill. Great sunsets. Everyone who hangs out at the Quarterdeck is friendly.
When we looked up King Tides we saw the sneaker waves and we laughed so hard cause it definitely sneaked up on her hard LOL 😂 Great! Will we be there soon and will check that campground because there are some things we wanna check out in the city. We drove through Des Moines on our way up to Ely,MN and want to go back there too! Thanks for all the information! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Welcome to the WA coast! It's a beautiful place for sure. I definitely want to see the tree of life. I live in Washington and didn't realize it was there! Keep up the adventures and have fun!
It’s so beautiful here on the coast! SO much different than the southern part of the states and just fascinating! You should go check it out! Just don’t get caught like Amanda did 😂 excited to see more of Washington! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
New sub! I like the new RUclips algorithm that introduces me to new channels, especially when they're not the most popular ones. Good luck to you both with your channel, and thanks for the video!
Will do! I bet will pass through there at some point! We need to get coffee beans too because we love pour coffee. Thanks for the recommendation and thanks for watching! 😊
I live on Camano Island, WA. Never heard of a Dutch drink. Starlink should work everywhere here. Glad to run into your channel! I'm lesbian and and love watching Van Life. Come visit in the summer and i can take you out crab fishing down the street from where i live on my small boat. It's my favorite hobby!
We love Dutch Bros! They aren’t everywhere but when we can find them we make sure to get it when traveling! That would be awesome, we’ve never done anything like that at all! Will definitely keep that in mind! So much to do here. Thanks for watching! 😊
It was so worth it!! It was so funny when Amanda got caught we both couldn’t stop laughing 🤣 we just learned about those king tides that happen and that was crazy! Thanks for watching! 😊
Are you guys full-timing in the van for good?? And welcome to WA! I lived there for 10 years, such a beautiful place. The coast is stunning, and the forests in the Olympics...enjoy the trip and hopefully looking forward to more videos from the area :)
For now we are!! So crazy up here in WA it is absolutely beautiful compared to AZ LOL the coast is so much different up here compared to down in San Diego but we are loving our time up here! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻
Congrats!! That’s awesome! Look the new topographical counter they put in there. So far it’s been Starlink for us. It’s been amazing and working from the van never had an issue. We do plan on mounting it to the roof now with Starlink roof mount and see how that goes! Thanks for watching! 😊
Happy I stumbled upon your channel. I have so many questions. What is your rug? Where were you on this video? I will go back and try to find the answers. Happy ventures!
We got the rug on Amazon just have to shove it a little bit LOL amzn.to/3DFYboF At the moment we are in Washington on the west coast by Olympic National Park. Happy to have you on the channel! Thanks for watching! 😊
Happy New Year!!! We just need to buy her tall boots because she mosses along and that why she got so wet LOL we’re excited to share them! Thanks for watching! 😊
Old school tip for drying boots; unlace, pull tongue out as much as possible to increase size of foot hole, stuff with newspaper or paper bags, remove paper once soaked (which will happen quickly in the beginning), repeat, repeat, repeat. It works great. If you use too much direct heat you can shrink your boot. Good luck. Boots are not cheap. 😊
Thanks for visiting but please don't move here. We are full! Please make sure you keep nothing in sight when you leave your van. Make sure everything's locked up nice and tight because we have a ton of people who will come and steal every last bit off your van, including the hubcaps and the wheels. Wintertime is a very difficult time to come and try to camp in Washington State. Every single campground is closed because it gets far too cold at night and we have these lovely winter storms that come through knockout power, wipe out the roads. Mud sludes ect. You get the you picture..
Haha we don’t plan on it we want to travel and see a lot more. We know full we’re from Phoenix and it keeps growing no matter what lol yeah we definitely have a security system in place because we never want anything to happen to us or Chansey. It’s been beautiful up here in the winter thought it’s got a special place with all the rain and trees. Thanks for watching! 😊
But if you decide to move to WA, we would always welcome more like minded good people. It is a beautiful state, despite the doom and gloom previously painted.
That’s awesome!!! We just enjoying making videos and sharing them showing no matter what you do in life you just have to get out and enjoying whatever you do! Thanks for watching! 🙏🏻

I have to wear my down jacket, and waterproof boots when I go down there in the winter but it's worth it! It's a bummer to catch the high tide tho.
