Haven't heard this in ages. Much of it doesn't sound very Hispanic, but VERY Ravel. Ms. Parra is extremely enjoyable to watch. I think she can punch her own ticket to classical music glory.

One of my favorite conductors. She's commanding, and she demonstrates that femininity is a secret sauce. It's something that i never thought about until I saw it. The embodiment of certain things in the music are enhanced by the secret sauce.

Love her work - always have a laugh at her rebel side and her rebellious hair - much missed but I guess she was lucky to get out (?) of the country before COVID-19 locked up air travel. Will be watching her in the future. I guess Alondra got away okay - she conducted the Advent Concert from Dresden 2019 - a wonderful piece of work in a stunning setting. As always, her hair is heading in a different direction to the rest of her. It's good to see some rebelliousness in a young conductor. 🎵❤️ (The Dresden concert was on 2 December, 2019 - bags packed I guess.)
