- Before my vacation I hooked into a big African Pompano while out casting off of northshore. I didn't land it but it gave me a new goal. Luckily after my vacation I landed my PB barracuda

Dude heart breaker!! Fishing one of my favorite childhood spots good to see it still produces. Those Africans get big saw a vid of one pulled up at Docking Stool had to be 40"!! Already had them on my bucket list when I get back! Planning on tossing metal jigs with my surf rod to reach out long distance.

Caught one of those African Jack's off a dock before on a hand line. Took 3 of us to pull it in. MONSTERS!!. Unlucky to u. Hopefully you get another try.

Recommend any good casting spots?
Litteraly anyehere is a casting spot. Blind cast somewhere that has open water and a few reefs off to the side and see what happens. Or just pull up on a spot, wait to see what passes. That's how I find fish
Unlucky. Trying to avoid structures can be difficult sometimes. Better luck next time
