Since I watched this, I love Sweden even more than ever before!❤❤... A super LGBT-friendly, pro feminism, eco-friendly and pet friendly country that I wish I could travel to someday in the future .. Swedes should and must be really proud of their land and culture 🎉 Greetings from Ecuador, South America
As a Swede I must say this act is absolutely fabulous. Right on spot. But I wonder if people from other countries understand actually how fun this is? Since it is a lot of inside humour and references. Must also say I am impressed by Petra Medes way of performing this (and the whole show)
As a non-Swede myself I can safely say this mentions or alludes to most things a non-Swede would know about Sweden. Oh wait...did they mention Spotify or Scania trucks, Linnaeus or Electrolux...
An American here that got MOST of the inside jokes~! I have scandinavian ancestors so I've always been fascinated by the region. BBC America does not air ESC (VERY sad about that), but luckily I was able to watch the live broadcast on SVT's website, and I could not stop laughing at this performance. All of the production group did an amazing job with the show this year~. :D Can't wait for next year in Denmark!
I just watch swedish Drama Series "Never.Wipe.Tears.Without.Gloves", and I just want to say cherish what u' ve been through and the thing u got so far. Your country change and evolve in just some ten years, Swedish should be proud.
Fantastic show! And I think we Finns know our neighbours well enough to understand most of the inside humour. I understand the appearance of Carola with a wind machine was a reference to her performance in ESC Athens 2006?
We Swedes are pretty spoiled. We have Melodifestivalen every year, which is our qualifications round for Eurovision. And it’s pretty much exactly like the shows we had when we hosted Eurovision the two most recent times. But like 80% as big. They scaled up the stage and the production a bit for Eurovision, but things were pretty close to our normal Melodifestivalen. This host number especially is a great example of what Melodifestivalen is like.
Best Interval. But the Flashmob Is a little bit better. But Better Than THE WORST INTERVAL ACT WITH THEESE PEOPLE ON LADDERS IN COPENHAGEN 2014 But it was canceled
Dude. DUDE. Copenhagen 2014 had some AMAZING interval acts, and the one with the ladders wasn't one of them - because *it didn't happen*. It was cancelled. It wasn't in the show. The RUclips video is of the dress rehearsal. You can't compare what one country did to what another country *didn't do*. Maybe Sweden had a worse act that they cancelled, too?
Here's the interval acts of Copenhagen 2014, with links below: 1) Emmelie de Forest performed Only Teardrops and Rainmaker (world premiere) with captivating water choreography, having all that year's contestants on stage, along with all the flags, for an incredible sense of international unity. What Eurovision is all about. 2) The hilarious 12 Point Song - keep in mind that Eurovision was being broadcast in China for the first time. 3) The Museum of Eurovision History - has to be one of the funniest interval acts ever. 4) Wonderful Copenhagen - this one was in the semi-final. 5) Trip to the future - this one was cancelled and only performed as a rehearsal. 1) ruclips.net/video/fNdrYzZ55gI/видео.html 2) ruclips.net/video/0Wm8PyCw4do/видео.html 3) ruclips.net/video/jN8vIcJfM9A/видео.html 4) ruclips.net/video/XFkvF5tx_kg/видео.html 5) ruclips.net/video/HdFI3gZuQ9c/видео.html
My bad - part of it made it into the show: ruclips.net/video/C87MSw6SJG0/видео.html - Still, that same show had three amazing intervals. And I actually kinda like the Joy song. The ladders are beautiful, too. ^^ But of course it's nowhere near the other three, or any of Sweden's intervals.
SelvesteSand the interval act with 12 point song was cool. CPH 2014 was better than Vienna 2015. STHLM 2016 Love Love Peace peace was funny the grey people was Amazing man vs machine was futuristic
Petra is the best host ever!
so if you want to see petra again let say in 2020 , make sure to vote for Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest

This was my favourite year, Sweden knows how to make a good show! I love it! Greetings from Finland :)
Hope for this similar to 2024
Revisiting this after semi 2, I hope it was to your satisfaction 😌
The only thing that could beat this would be by making a mock Eurovision song called 'Peace Peace Love Love'.
Yeah, that would be EPIC!!

Petra Mede is a legend! I still don't understand why she isn't the host every year... they should make it mandatory... like Jon Olaf Sand...
I just watch swedish Drama Series "Never.Wipe.Tears.Without.Gloves", and I just want to say cherish what u' ve been through and the thing u got so far. Your country change and evolve in just some ten years, Swedish should be proud.
Yeah! We've got more explosions, rape and murder than ever!
I like this Interval Act. Petra Mede is a super Entertainerin. :-)
LOL I'm from Finland and this was so darn funny, the swedes can put on a show :) excellent :)
I loved the Danish hosts this year but it's really hard to beat Petra!!
The best interval act so far!
Love it. Sweden have an impossible act to follow - the 2013 show was just in a different league!
2016 is even harder to follow
2016 is so hard to follow, I think it will be forever one of, if not the best and most memorable of all time
she looks like a disney princess!!!!
I'm moving to Sweden now!
PETRA RULES
PETRA PLEASE HOST ESC 2016😍😍 best host ever
She will. Together with Måns Zermelöv
They did. They made one of the best Eurovision shows ever!
SHE DID! IT WAS INCREDIBLE!
I am in the uk and I love Petra she should host Eurovision every year she is so hot
Fantastic show! And I think we Finns know our neighbours well enough to understand most of the inside humour.
I understand the appearance of Carola with a wind machine was a reference to her performance in ESC Athens 2006?
in Rome 1991 too, she was the only one to have it
people from eastern europe are crying politics during the finnish lesbian kiss... then sweden suddenly gave them gay kiss... hahaha....
It was norwegian gay kiss
That was the best Eurovision show I've ever seen. The Austrian show was boring. :(

Just as crazy as 2016 😂 Petra is the best 😂
I love her. let her host the sow in 2016
Your one and only wish came true.
we can keep dreaming
SHE DID AND IT WAS NCREDIBLE!
I think so, and also her win for Sweden in 1991.
I remember watching this last night at like 1:30 am 😂
this is amazing
Maybe Italy should have taken some tips from Sweden and Denmark. Stilted hosting this year (2022)
I really love Sweden
Was that really the Swedish prime minister?
It was!
"What if Angela Merkel comes?" xD
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Avtually the act is called Swedish Smorgasbord
| - - - Great humor and the Sweden in a nutshell :)
As a gay youth in America, the only two I got was the ambivalent relationship with church and the gay marriage/kiss. lol :D
7:22 Was that meant to happen, either way it was hilarious 🤣🤣
7:24 real or fake?
carola has fallen from the stage
Catalin Blaga was that deliberate?
@@Tarkris If you watch the video there is a white crash may behind her. Yes, it was deliberate.
Proud Swede 😏
Wow, this was uploaded exactly 10 years ago today. May 20th 2013
Oh sweden, you are just so great! But still, you will never beat us, you lovely neighbours, the finns ;)
Nah you cant beat our Petra ;)
you've won like once in 2001 pls get in line
But the question is... did Carola fall on purpose?
She did

Don't forget to bring your own food when you go to your Swedish friend's house or they'll starve you.
why Carola didn't sing in place of all stuff?

This is so ridiculous
I`m surprise that they don`t know their history about the Vikings, for they Never had horns in their helmets, leave the horns for Spain.
its for the sake of the stereotypical vikings. but then again, no, not a lot of swedes know about the real vikings.
@@nojoyrecords youre right
Hmm. Was this a history lesson or a song about stereotypes? 🤔
