I think it's the convex shape to them. Original BBS are more flat but on these the spokes bend inwards towards the arch
I think the genuine wheels look better if I'm honest. They just need refurbishing back to a diamond cut finish 🔥

I have only just started working on my own cars ( I have been into cars all my life just never had confidence or the right car to start on ) I have a mk6 gti and just last week did the following
Service all fluids and replace all filters
Put a cold air intake on from Intergrated engineering
High pressure fuel pump and cam follower
upgraded to Audi R8 plugs and coils
replaced coolant expansion tank as old one cracked
Bilstein B4 shock absorbers all around including new dust boots, mounts and bump stops
Upgraded to powerstop evolution sport Z23 pads and EBC slotted rotors
replaced anti roll bar with one from a mk6 R and do sway bar end links and bushes for sway bar
I sounds like a lot but for someone with little to no experience I must say I thoroughly enjoyed working on the car, the HPFP was the easiest thing I have done.

Video quality is much better with the new camera👌🏽I think the OEM wheels in the original finish would look nicer than the RSRs, but for an all black wheel they definitely look really good.
Coming together nicely mate. Do prefer the Cadiz rims, why would they respray them that weird colour? Didn't notice it was 4k, your videos are always crystal clear.

If u want even less unsprung weight i’d recommend 2 piece rotors and Porsche Macan calipers. That’s 4 kgs or nearly 10 pounds less unsprung weight 💪

Yeah they rely on cling-film to hold them in place lol
Yeah that’s mad. I got some cheap Touran headlights for my Caddy and they wedged between some thick foam pads, top and bottom.

Tar and glue will remove that tape residue with ease from the bumper. Bit of a polish and it’ll be like new. The broken tab on the bumper corner is an easy fix as well. 👍🏻

Completely agree about the scirocco looks, I think it will go down as one of the best looking cars of all time. Not a huge fan of the wheels, but glad it’s one whole car at least!
Video looks better, but it could really use some stabilization for the handheld shots the video vibrating around can be quite jarring at times. Might be able to stabilize it in post by punching in a bit since you're shooting in 4k anyways, or use one of those handheld gimbles.

Great video as always. But new wheels look too small, think tyres need to go up 5 on profile. I’m not a Cadiz fan, so aftermarket’s for me. But maybe Cadiz look good refurbed

Camera looks pretty solid, even in 1080p, also seems like we're getting close to driving this thing! To be fully honest, the wheels aren't quite my favourite.

Honestly TPS are taking the absolute mick, when I sell random stuff on eBay for £20 I package it properly and use this stuff called bubble wrap. Maybe they could learn a thing or two, for over a grand spent and they couldn't bother to protect the items I'd be absolutely livid.

i've seen a rocco with the RSR'S but spacers were fitted and they were a brighter finish, roccos eat up black wheels without being lowered...but then you lose DCC
Great save, I wonder if that car originally lived in Scotland or somewhere by the sea as there's a surprising amount of surface rust on some of the suspension compontents for a 2015 car.
The factory wheels look awesome, the others look cheap. What is the go with black wheels these days, you cant even see the design of them and especially black on black looks ridiculous. Great content thou, enjoy your work mate 😉

Can't say I'm a fan of the wheels. Love the BBS style but these are move convex shaped than the original flatter look or even concave which to me makes them look cheap. Love the series so far though and that 4k footage will look great in years to come when someone is restoring one of these 50 years later haha

Camera quality is a lot better mate do you use a gimbal? If not it may help with when your using it in selfie mode and you turn or rotate the camera but other than the transitions new camera is pucker mate! Love these build inspiring me to try it mate ain't even got a licence yet! 🤣🤣🤣

I get the saving on the lock carrier but if that is in another crash it doesn’t act the same as genuine one it’s false economy 🤷♂️
