My guess is that he is pleased with such a fast time so early in the season, and that his body is working well after this winter's injury. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. I hope we will se more Jakob vs Kerr races, and not only in the Olympics. More DLs, as well as the European Championship in Rome would be nice.

How is he humble, at 1:04 he says he thinks he will win 5k and 1500m at Paris

@@Karnex1 That's confidence not cockiness. If you see interviews with athletes they almost all say they think they can win x race. It's self belief, you have to believe in yourself as an athlete.

Second question was a given. Even Jakob was surprised how obvious that was. Please think through your questions first 😅

that altitude question was a bit silly.. obviously elite endurance athletes go to high altitudes for pre-season training. isn't that common knowledge?

Nah. There's nothing wrong with him at all. He comes across as open and honest, and you can't ask for more than that. I, for one, admire his honesty and genuineness.

He seems pretty generous with his time giving this long interview and he's honest. Saying he's terrible is really outrageous and ridiculously harsh
