Best guy to talk to honestly, though I’ll say almost all the athletes are approachable, but with Hobbs you can tell it’s no BS and he puts thought into what he’s saying
He would be a favourite for the league. Always in the mix. Super nice guy. Young talent on the improve. Interesting and unique training style. Perfect resume with 800/1500m Olympic double and Grand Slam will ask runners to do both, so he is perfect for it. Would be shocked if he is not signed.
Why wouldn't they sign him? He's a phenomenal young talent in the 800m and 1500m, qualified for both in the Olympics, 5th in the world at 1500m. I hope they do
@@Shanham617it’s a good Q and when I asked Kerr, he brought up Hobbs first, which is notable. They could sign a bigger name 800 guy but would that be great for racing if they are dominant in the 800 but not closely matched in the 1500?
@@notorious414 Emmanuel is a 3:54 miler with no training in it. Give him 9 months to train and get back to me. You cannot discount his 1500m, could out kick them all in a tactical race. With training, I bet he can hold 56s. Although I hope they pick Hobbs
@@Shanham617 I agree Wanyonyi has massive potential in the 1500, and is certainly the most appealing of the podium right now with road mile/XC experience. I certainly would be intrigued especially in unpaced races
Nice young Man ....easy to root for...great year for him....I wish him the very best.....3:29/1:43...wow
And he's still young. Plus, I think he and Hoppel are a good fit together - good friends and both extremely motivated and competitive.
His interviews are always the most candid. He seems to run with joy, a joy post-race, a couple of weeks ago, which seemed to catch Jacob off guard.

I'm an aussie and I think this kid is brilliant! Really talented. Look forward to his progression.
If they don’t sign Hobbs at least as a challenger we will riot
Oh he’s definitely going to be a challenger

he is such a pleasure 2 listen 2!!!!
I love this guy, Hobbs. One of my favorite track athletes. Always keeps it real and always very genuine.
Is there a single other person that matched his 3:29/1:43 this year? Especially at 21. It’d honestly be a huge miss if grand slam didn’t sign him.
Agree 👍
Love you bro
He will get better and better great runner
Didn’t have the juice 😂
