Today I had one but it was REAL some effect in the school play EXPLODED and there was fire and the fire alarm went on but then a creepy voice was talking saying EVACUATE THIS IS NOT A DRILL and everyone was screaming and running but the worst part was that I was at lunch eating. Then after 1 hour there was another alarm but it was fake and someone had a seizure while it was happening I hate the creepy voice of the evaluation.
@Waffle Wolf The air raid siren that sounds at your school during a fire drill is a Simplex 4100U/ES Voice Evac whoop, which is the tone makes the air raid siren sound. Also that sound is commonly played through Simplex Truealert Speaker Strobes
The strobe flashes 1 per second synchronous to the horn that sounds 1 per second 3 times with a 1 second pause when the system is activated. Your OCD only triggers when its a video and the framerate is different or with quality lower than 480p or the pannel doesn't use a sync module so the strobe flashes out of sync with the horn
@@safetyemergencyperson5085 The Wheelock AS is just as loud as them. Same with the Simplex 4906 conventional TrueAlert horn/strobes, and those have no volume setting, so they're always on high volume! Ouch!
@@safetyemergencyperson5085 In my opinion I think since the AS is high pitched I think it is louder than the Spectralert Advance. So I think the AS is significantly louder than the advance
@@midnightclubshow4332 the spectralert advance is just as loud as them, They Jumpscare people in class at school and they probably fall off their chairs when they go off
@@safetyemergencyperson5085 Not lying the Wheelock NS sounds more like a loud Whistle. In Elementary School we had that system and they were unsynced. It's the worst if nobody knows who pulled the alarm and then you have all this random noise and it's loud and scary. We also had STI Stoppers and when you pull the alarm then that Mini Siren is so loud. But honestly I would love a wheelock device because I know the sound would wake me up in an emergency.
In my school, we have that exact same red drill thing, but it says “may i have your attention please, may i have your attention please. There has a been a fire reported in the building. Please proceed to the nearest exit” BEEP BEEP BEEP, BEEP BEEP BEEP, and so on
I agree. I'm in college now. And i remember one time my dorm's fire alarm went off. It was during that halloween snowfall we had. We lost power. But when it came back on, the fire alarm went off. It was so long, i thought, "what on earth are they trying to do?! Blow our ears off?!"
jediskunk67 In my college, there was a computer room that you couldn't hear the fire alarm in if you used earphones, and could only just about hear without any earphones. So, louder is sometimes better. But the alarm was outside the room, too, not in it. UK schools and buildings don't have the same fire requirements as the USA, and most buildings have alarms in the corridors instead of actually in each individual room. Newer systems have integrated detector-sounders, so that is usually the option taken these days in the UK, but speaking alarms are almost never seen except in limited applications such as shopping centres and airports. Strobes are sometimes seen in combined sounder-strobes. Different again in Australia, where practically no alarms use strobes, but pretty much all alarms in developed urban areas (at least in New South Wales) are accompanied by voice systems. They are highly standardised, unlike the UK where it is a mishmash of systems and standards that have changed over the years.
That's how an efficient fire alarm should be. In my school the alarms are somewhat far apart from each other but not far enough apart from each other. about 100 ft per alarm sounds good.
Dude my schools fire drills are so loud. Last time we had one (last Friday) people screamed. We have practice ones, and I yelled crap once at one XD and screamed, and fell out of my chair. So pretty much I have done all of the above XD
I once whispered "oh s***" on the first fire drill my high school had. I was shaking to prepare my adrenaline in the minutes leading up to the drill, but on the first signal i whispered it my math teacher was dyin' of laughter and told me in a laughing voice "walk down the stairs silly dilly hahahahahahha" and continued laughing her head off.
(This was Last year) I was in class when the fire alarm went off. I thought it was just a drill but when I exited the classroom I looked back at the fire doors and they were CLOSED, I started to panic because if it was a drill then they would not be closed but they WERE. So we got outside to the football field and waited and I was like "okay compliment on how we did so we can go back inside" when the assistant principal said "wait for further instructions" so at that point it was obvious that it wasn't a drill so we waited a while then off in the distance, I heard sirens and they got closer and closer then they stopped. We waited a while when FINALLY relief, the principal said that there was no fire but something made the cafeteria fill up with smoke. Once they got the smoke cleared, we went back in and the principal came on the intercom a few minutes later and said that we did a good job. That's my biggest experience of a real fire drill, there were more but that one was the scariest
Uk - I was in a supermarket and there was an explosion followed by a full scale evacuation of the store and the shopping centre it has an entrance/exit to. NOW THAT'S SCARY AND CLOSE TO A FIRE!!!
This wasn't a fire or anything, but last year (5th Grade) my class and kindergarten were outside, and we saw our teachers running, and they told us to run with them, so as we were running, we saw a fire truck driving up the hill. Someone had got into a car accident, and our baseball field at the school was the closest place to land the helicopter.
yeah in my school only the BIGASS classrooms have strobes the tiny ones dont and plus the gym only got two horn strobes and so does the caf and auditorium. The auto shop in the bassment got two even tho it only needs 1 theyr eddie tegrities theyr loudass
+JpGonzalez 17 It really depends on the county and state each school is located in because different county fire departments have different rules. Some areas mandate horn/chime strobes located inside every single classroom, while others only require horn/chime strobes in the hallways while strobes alone are in classrooms.
day I got real fire drills 1st grade-gas leak 6th-kid brought gun to school and threatened to kill people 6th-kid were smoking and 8th grade bathroom somehow caught on fire

Real fire drill?

I love fire alarms I get to pull it at school they let me do it for drills

What science experiment was the other class doing before the fire went out?
Why do fire alarms have to be so ear piercing loud?!
So that everyone can hear them and safely get out of the building
yes, because most fire alarms have temporal tones so people who are deaf can "hear" the audible signal.

How in the world was someone able to record this?
This reminds me of middle school. And this came back during my freshman year of college, when I was outside of my dorm.
I had experienced a real fire drill in elementary school. I was in 2nd grade and there was probably a problem in the cafeteria.
