    Another great video! Your last one got me back on track but this one emphasises how to control stopping the right arm ‘hit’ desire with the natural ‘drop’. Thanks again Harry. 😊

    I do the same with my lead arm of having my elbow turned in and just feel the hands going down the toe line as the club goes up to the top. Then they fall down and are easy to make great compression. Works for me. Great video

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  9 месяцев назад +1

      It certainly makes it easy for the compression side, you’re right. Especially getting the right arm set, without this it’s difficult to get the backswing move right. Thanks!

    An excellent idea Harry to have one thought on making the golf swing! I know too often I have multiple thoughts when making my swing rather than only one swing thought! Your idea for the use of the right arm with its "bicep curl" and the "gravity drop" of the club in the downswing is an excellent one! Something I have been working on and will continue doing! Well Done Harry! Looking for more good things to come from you in 2024! All The Best!!

    • @harryshawgolf

      Hi John, I like the term gravity drop for the downswing, I might use that too!
      Thank you, more to come!

    Great helpful video for setting up with the correct trail arm position. As a first time listener I have since subscribed for more helpful videos to come. I find I can accomplish the same thing (love the analogy of yours of a bicep curl of trail arm) by doing the bicep curl during set up as a first move before turning my torso to the ideal top of the backswing position with the bicep curl already in place. Is there something wrong with this approach? Curl then turn?

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  9 месяцев назад

      Hi, thanks for commenting and there’s nothing wrong with this approach. The key is to understand what this feels like to you. If this is what it feels like stick to that feel. If you’re wanting me to double check it for you. You can head onto Skillest and send me your swing.

  • @pohoresky

    Getting club head to moving away from ball (slight;y right field as it were) in opposite direction of chest (slightly left field) at impact is the key to the downswing. Correct?

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  9 месяцев назад

      So the chest and upper body wants to move away from the ball as the club head itself is approaching the ball
