    What is Mattersound? Mattersound is a new way of immersing you in each episode of Historyland. Through the power of video editing, we're able to move certain sounds so they surround you, or make sounds move from the right ear to the left ear. This effect is best experienced while wearing headphones, so keep a lookout in the bottom right of each video to prepare yourself for magic.
    Historyland is dedicated to and inspired by Walt Disney's original television show: The Wonderful World of Color/Disney, and most of all: the families who sat in awe at what Walt showcased each week. Historyland is meant to be a homage to those vintage aesthetics, while at the same time putting a twist on the contemporary Disney history video.

    Due to the nature of this episode and possibly our future Historyland episodes, we will not be able to monetize them because of the way we incorporate music into them. If you would still like to help support the channel, and support Historyland, please head over to my Patreon page and do so there if you'd like (www.patreon.com/matterhornmatt). OH. MY. GODNESS. This is literally the best editing and production quality I have EVER seen for a Disney RUclipsr!!! This is beyond phenomenal! The introduction on this one was seamless and I could of sworn I was watching an actual Disney history program on like ABC, the caliber of quality was so good! Seriously, you're giving bigger channels like the ones on ThemeParkTube a run for their money! I cannot wait to see more of this in the future!

  • @AlextheHistorian

    Guys, the fading narration at 25:35, is intentional. It's supposed to be a transition that makes way for storytelling through the use of the imagery, its a poetic way of letting the visuals take over.

    • @princedonovaughn1182
      @princedonovaughn1182 5 лет назад

      It is a little inconvenient for those who don't know the story though.

    • @AlextheHistorian
      @AlextheHistorian 5 лет назад

      @@princedonovaughn1182 That's why you tune in to future episodes of Historyland to learn more in-depth history of attractions. A single video can only cover so much information. The important thing for an episode about Fantasyland to show is what attractions were added. Other episodes will delve into the history of each ride.

    • @princedonovaughn1182
      @princedonovaughn1182 5 лет назад

      @@AlextheHistorian that's fair enough. I'm just taking it as the prospective of an outside viewer without that sort of knowledge. Had I not read your comment before that part I would also have been confused even though I already know the story, and what became of it. To some it could seem an odd transition in the middle of a story, rather than not acknowledging said story at all. That's not to say either it's bad or wrong after all art is subjective, and knowing what was intended helps better understand the vision of it's creator.

      If only Distorian was an actual paid job Disney offered, huh? On another note, you suppose PS4's Dreams will be popular with that breed? Every time I see videos or articles about how Disneyland was not completed on opening day makes me wonder why Walt Disney didn’t take his time and add a few months and open in October and have everything completed. A man known for his detail allows this to happen? The asphalt was not even cured. Water fountains weren’t working.

      It's a theme song written for the Disneyland television series by the great Disney songwriter Oliver Wallace. It was originally instrumental and was used in many different variations for all of Walt's television shows from the 50s through the 60s. A lot's happened the past couple of years and we're basically a two-person operation with no budget. We've been working on something we think you'll love, but to get stuff to the level of quality we want takes time, money, and manpower. So bear with us, we promise there may be more Historyland sooner than you think. But we're not a production company with a staff and funding. We're just two people who have to balance life and a whole lot else on top of doing this.
