My dream is to be a Walt Disney Imagineer and each video I watch from you makes me feel my dream is much more reachable. I swear this video made me tear up a bit. Thank you.
Guys, the fading narration at 25:35, is intentional. It's supposed to be a transition that makes way for storytelling through the use of the imagery, its a poetic way of letting the visuals take over.
@@princedonovaughn1182 That's why you tune in to future episodes of Historyland to learn more in-depth history of attractions. A single video can only cover so much information. @@AlextheHistorian that's fair enough. I'm just taking it as the prospective of an outside viewer without that sort of knowledge. OH. MY. GODNESS. This is literally the best editing and production quality I have EVER seen for a Disney RUclipsr!!! This is beyond phenomenal! The introduction on this one was seamless and I could of sworn I was watching an actual Disney history program on like ABC, the caliber of quality was so good! Seriously, you're giving bigger channels like the ones on ThemeParkTube a run for their money! I cannot wait to see more of this in the future!
The history behind Disney and its parks has always fascinated me. This video is one of the highest quality RUclips creations I’ve ever seen, and you can tell real passion and hard work went into it. Great job, keep it up! (Also, how has this video only have 1,000 views?)
If only Distorian was an actual paid job Disney offered, huh? On another note, you suppose PS4's Dreams will be popular with that breed? After all, it could potentially serve as a way of preserving and recreating theme park history. Just imagine: a virtual recreation of Adventures Thru Inner Space.
Matt, this is the most beautiful thing! I just love it, even the crackle-y VCR footage! Amazing! Keep up the awesome work! (Bought two shirts...hope it helps!)
Every time I see videos or articles about how Disneyland was not completed on opening day makes me wonder why Walt Disney didn’t take his time and add a few months and open in October and have everything completed. A man known for his detail allows this to happen? The asphalt was not even cured. Water fountains weren’t working.
I continue to be impressed by the humor as well as the aesthetic and emotional depth of your videos. You're doing nothing wrong here. Keep pushing forward.
I will never fail to be impressed at the level of work you put into your videos. If I had the money I'd support you to do these full time and nothing else. It's absolutely amazing. You do top notch work dude, thanks! And I'll be a patron at some level as soon as I can.

Claude Coats? What exactly did he take from Mary Blair and Herb Ryman? From what I have heard, Coats loved scaring guests. Will there be a sequel or something that covers all of the changes that Project Stardust brought to Fantasyland?
It's a theme song written for the Disneyland television series by the great Disney songwriter Oliver Wallace. It was originally instrumental and was used in many different variations for all of Walt's television shows from the 50s through the 60s. You'll probably notice we weave in and out of two of the variations at the part you mention all the way to the commercial break.
Truly a great episode. Love your channel. One thing though - at the 25.30(-ish) mark, your voice over disappears, and I can't really make out your last sentence about Disney's trip to Switzerland.

When are you going to to another Historyland episode? It has been over 18 months since you did this! I mean, come on! There are so much that needs to get covered that Defunctland and other Disneyland/World historians have already covered. There's still Body Wars, Cranium Command, The Wonders of Life, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Kitchen Kabaret/Food Rocks, Maelstrom etc. left. Come on and pick up some slack!
A lot's happened the past couple of years and we're basically a two-person operation with no budget. We've been working on something we think you'll love, but to get stuff to the level of quality we want takes time, money, and manpower. So bear with us, we promise there may be more Historyland sooner than you think. But we're not a production company with a staff and funding. We're just two people who have to balance life and a whole lot else on top of doing this.
