I remember working for a contractor in the westcountry (Devon) in the peak holiday season trailering silage, I used to pull over as I could do and let traffic pass, I got warned from my boss several times saying don't pull over let them wait, time is money he'd say....I totally agree with you and I stuck to what i thought, as I was the driver..he was an arse anyway...😁
She looks like she moves on down the road real well LM! Ran a JCB Many hrs here and dug many septic and drain fields with her lol amungst many foundations and such! ;-) in my day! Safe travels my freind!

When I did a bit of carting down in Cornwall, was travelling along a single carriageway section of the A30 for a couple of weeks, I used to pull in to every other layby as it was peak holiday season with very heavy traffic... my then boss pulled in behind me and bollocked me for doing so as it "wasn't getting the job done"... Needless to say I jacked that job in soon after along with various other things he bollocked me for (one was for sheeting up an overloaded trailer, as it was "wasting time"!!!)

The cues behind used to be horrendous !, they where always pleased to get passed thou as many used to give me a nice wave as they stormed passed !.

That said though when I am turning into gateways with transport box on the 3 point it really catches motorists out with the rear swing, I would hate to have something long like a plough on the back.

This makes it harder for those who want to pass, as the obstacle is now longer and you need more space to make a safe pass. People say fast cars are dangerous, but I disagree - the safest car I had for overtaking was a 5-litre TVR Griffith - 320 horsepower and masses of torque mean you could pull out and pass and be back on the safe side of the road in a very short distance. My driving instructor told a 17 yr old me that you should treat every overtake you make as a potential head-on collision - sound advice!

Over here Don, yes because most journeys are only a few miles although some wallopers still think travelling by road for over an hour makes financial sense...

The trouble is Dan that some tractor drivers seem to think 50k or 65k is like 100 mph - it's not - it's 35mph and about 44mph which is still not fast enough to keep up ahead of modern traffic on most major roads. There are more and more witch-hunts every time a tractor is involved in an accident with members of the public saying that tractors should be kept off the road during busy times. With the attitude of some small-minded individuals, this may become a reality.

Great video and wise words. Was expecting this one as i saw the snapchats the day you videoed this. I see my fair share of cock-jockeys on the road when im in tractors. It drives me mad when im driving aa close to the edge od the road to let cars past and when the road is clear the car immediately behind me doesnt pass. This is inconsiderate on their behalf as it means the cars behind them have to pass that first car and then my whole outfit of 200hp tractor and silage rake or trailer or stonecart etc. They are the dangerous ones. Then they sit behind you on straight empty roads without passing but then try to pass on a blind corner etc. Silly cunts. And yes i do agree about pulling over. If i spend one, two minutes pulled over thats fine by me as i have less to worry about when theres no queue behind me. Anyway, best not get carried away as i could rant all day. Great video mate, keep them coming and keep the snapchat updates coming, don't be worried about polluting us with too many as i for one like to see what everyone else is up to every day.
