Minkus' music is so joyful and sweet. This is a new one for me. The Russian love of Spanish themes. I don't know if the Paris, or the New York, or the Mariinsky is the best. All. I know is that this is so beautiful, and I am so grateful to RUclips for making this and many other ballet videos available.

For comparison I came across the Paquita on YT, "Cuban national ballet"Paquita grand pas" I am so impressed by the whole feeling that the Cubans put into it. The soloist are great Anette Delgado, Alfonso Hernandez, the corps too. It has all the spanish passion AND Yet a lot Of pure White beauty AND simple setting. It became my favorite versión.

A montagem do Kirov (hoje Mariinsly) permanece fiel à concepção de Petipá e no meu entendimento se trata da melhor, não só em termos coreográficos como também no arranjo orquestral que é muito bonito.
A ton of those views are from my ballet school. we are watching over and over to improve. I LOVE this video but there are some holes in it when it comes to learning your corps part. I could watch it all day though.
