I feel like Hero in those non -hero-esque games we have been seeing lately is trying ot come up with something new, beside his patented blink stalkers+oracles.Which i think is a good idea, he cant become to predicatble, on the other hand so far the results of this experimantation does look weird, hope he can find what he is looking for in the end.
I saw something new and it was the same with Stats but was poorly executed in comparison and that is using disruptors in self-defense on a push but was nonetheless effective, because rather than be twice as dumb as your enemy to expect them to fall for your Disruptor balls, you can force them to come closer just by threatening their base. Another thing I noticed which was in herO's second round against Reynor is that Brood lords straight up counter Zealots and Archons with superior range, able to camp above obstacles, and free units.This made me thought up of a protoss unit composition to counter Brood Lords and that is Void Rays and Zealots. A single Archon(should use DT's to save gas) to deter Corruptors/Mutalisks from diving just like how Maru used a single Thor against Cure last GSL finals to deter vikings from diving. A single sentry just for the Guardian Shield but used in self-defense on a push just like with Disruptor balls. Reactive Stalkers to overlord drop. Reactive Zealots to defend and push. I always noticed Protoss players are averse to Shields first before armor vs Zerg while always trying to save their units when armor is only good for one use. Sure hit points are generally higher than shield points and Shields is more expensive but every shield point regenerated increases Shields Upgrade value potentially up to the point of being equally valuable as armor and potentially beyond. Plus while being 50 mineral & gas more expensive than Vehicle and Ship Plating, it affects everything. In a PvZ nutshell, armor = Gradually throw units & structures, shields = Gradually save units & structures.
her0 cycling through unit composition was interesting, he made Serral invest in corruptors and then trap the supply by changing to ground. Protoss have been sad since last 2 updates, they really need to help boost protoss a little.
Serral is a fucking beast defending adept + oracle harassment. How the fuck he loses 0 drones until 5:30 minutes? And his queen positioning later against 2 oracles roaming his base! Impossible to replicate it.

The first 2 maps were super competitive, the 3rd map shows why Serial is considered the GOAT. My God that defense...
