- HolyStone HS720E 4k EIS GPS Camera Drone is an great drone. HolyStone definitely stepped up there game with this one. Being able to shot steady footage @ 4k 30fps and 1080p 60fps with the electronic image stabilization,

Excellent video and flight test. I have had this drone for a month now and weather kept me from flying for a couple weeks. Went out yesterday with grandkids and it was awesome. 8 year old flew the drone without issues and it was grins all the way! Nice drone, buy one...you won't regret it!

I don't see many Wi-Fi signal bars on my Samsung S8+ once I connect. The camera works, as I see it in the Phone. IS the Drone supposed to also connect to a home Wi-Fi too?...Thanks fellow Sacto guy!!!!
The drones WiFi to your phone only, no house WiFi. The WiFi sign is at the top of your phone to right. It is a WiFi 3 line logo when your on the drones app.

wait till it flies away it is bad about that if all they changed was the camera then noway is it worth the price they are asking I got the original 720 it is ok but not as good as some of the other drones I have. I got the 510 it is more fun than the 720 no tilt on cam but that is fine just move the drone into the position you want

These drones are still a step to the hobby grade and still in a toy grade as well. So I will not be pushing the to much like my DJI drones. Take care my friend

How would you compare this drone to a dji mavic air?
Stuart Lindsay my Mavic air 1 and 2 are both of coarse way better and not on the same level. This hs720e is still in the Transition of toy drone to hobby grade drone. So no Comparison at this time with the DJI products. This is a nice drone for someone starting out. Plus only has a couple hundred to spin and doesn’t have $1000 to spend on a Dji.
Looking for best drone for skiing, auto track or self follow. And affordable for a beginner . Any suggestions??

To be able to track you well, you will need a dji mavic air 2 or a Skydio 2. These toy drones will not be able to keep track.
Does it matter way you turn the drone for compass calibration?

Camera only goes up and down
It does not matter which way you rotate the drone for calibration or which way you point it.
It should not matter, but in this case it’s someone else’s drone and not mine. The manual states counter clock wise. I do not want to be blamed if the gps does not have a solid lock. That’s up to you Tom if you want to calibrate it anyway. I’m just wanted to let the other person know what the manual says.
can you fly it without a phone?
I have not tried it yet, I’m sure it can.
How high can it go?
Max Altitude is only (120 meters) 400 feet here in the USA by faa Regulations. Thank you for watching

I’m not sure if you’re having problems and trade other mobile phones and I would have to say return it or exchange it. I would try another 5ghz WiFi mobile device just to make sure first.
No holystone updated there app my drone flies just fine I’m just making sure my app wasn’t the only one that changed some guy already made a video on the new app upload your apps and you’ll see that it’s different now

Now that my holystone gimbal doesn't work I saw the C-fly faith mini for 160 it has a 3axis 2k 30fps brushless I don't have the money but check the reviews I think is a good clone of the dji
Just keep saving, c-fly has its problems as well. Be careful of what you buy!!!!! Please just keep saving for a decent drone. It’s well worth the wait. I wish I waited years ago when I first started flying. Thank you for stopping by, cheers

Go with the hs720e, the video is smooth and very good stabilizated. The hs720 doe not have stabilized video and is very shaky video.

Your going to like it, it’s a nice drone. Still in low speed when your looking to get that cinematic look. Sport mode is more for hurrying to get to a spot or out. Cheers and thanks for watching.

If you are in the USA you need to register the drone with the FAA. This drone weighs over 250 grams so it’s 5 dollars for 2 years. Then you will have your FAA number, you have to put on the drone where it can be seen from the number from outside of the drone.

Camera Software yes. But look and frame style is different. The bugs has its camera on the outside bottom as well and this is hs720e is in the nose. I’m sure it’s the same just different body.

I am new to your channel here and this video was a really great video of the 720E. I've been wanting to get a drone for pretty much the sole purpose of having it in a SHTF scenario, doing some reconnaissance checks from a short distance away.
With all this civil unrest crap going on, I want to keep a drone in my trunk just in case shit goes down where I work, I work near the downtown in my area and we're experiencing some of this civil unrest crap too close to my work, with these so-called "peaceful protesters" and its getting a little unsettling nowadays and getting worse.
So, having a drone would be a good thing to have so I could put it up in the air to just scout a safe route home as the local police won't tell us which streets are being blocked off.
I also saw a fantastic video of the Mini the other day from the RUclips channel The Urban Prepper who did a great video of the Mini and how he uses Dronelink with it and that video alone is prompting me to buy the Mini. I like the fact its packed into a small enough case that I can carry it in my backpack which I keep with me at all times at work.
But I really like your presentation and so my question is...do you know if Dronelink will work with this Holy Stone 720E??

Thanks James for watching, this is a nice flying and easy to use drone. Just remember the faa rules of flying over people, it’s a big fine and dangerous. If you have 450 you can also buy a DJI Mavic mini that is a sold drone as well. For the price this will do the job. Cheers and be safe.

Can anyone help me with my HolyStone720E? When I turn it on, even though the battery is fully charged on the drone, when I turn the remote on it shows “no battery” and the the drone shows green flash lights. This is my second drone already and I can not figure it out. Am I doing something wrong?

is it me or did the orbit mode just spin in a circle, maybe I'm misunderstanding but when i hear orbit mode you would think it would go around a central object not stay in play and spin.

I have the original 2.5k version and the 4k version both not stabilized the video quality is so much better with the EIS version. They are good flyers but the EIS makes filming actually useable.
It’s definitely a big difference now with that EIS. I have the bugs 20 EIS coming as well, I can wait to compare them. Thanks for watching
I have several Phantom 3's and 4's , a couple of hubsans and I just spent the morning ordering the Holystone 720E, for less than half the price of those others. It looks like, from these reviews I'm watching, that it will be money well spent. I do have one question tho, what kind of range can you get out of it?
Thanks Mitch for watching. I have not done a range test yet. I been out only 400 meters while filming, I haven’t had anyone to help spot me. So only line of sight for now.
I wish this drone was out when I purchased the HS720 2K version. I enjoy flying mine but as the months go on, the remote left joystick has a bit of a sticking problem which is bad when flying. The video feed distances is horrible and from video, that hasn’t changed. Just like mine, great starter drone but you will be looking for something better like I did.

When reviewing a drone with a camera, it's best to have the drone camera's footage be largest on-screen. Showing us what the GoPro on your head can do isn't as helpful. Just FYI.

I got one in past few days and flew it yesterday. Man it was windy as heck, so not a good idea to fly during higher winds, especially around obstacles.
I flew it again today with much prettier weather. This thing will sit in one spot for the whole battery life. Super easy to fly if you've flown anything before. I think my headless mode got turned on and had me out of whack, but I know where to fix that. Good review.

the lens doesn't move that smooth, when do I put GPS on or off? I got a little confused. I was trying to keep the stabled level, still hard to control, the video comes out not that balanced level.
You keep the gps on the whole time if you want gps. So make sure it’s on when calibrating the gps compasses.
so if your head towards a tree and I am not paying attention I presume it will crash into the tree?
Yes it would, this drone does not have senors.

@@BIGDRONEFLYER77RC Yess! It helped amazingly. However while I’m flying it it typically glichtes out ( loses connection ) when flying manually about 100m away. I made sure to set the maximum range, height, etc. in the app. Thanks!

Looks ok but costs around the same as the DJI Mavic Mini I think it's a little overpriced I'm going with the Mini....the DJI Mavic Mini, HS720e, Ruko F11, and Yuneec Mantis Q are in the same price range
I would definitely go and get DJI before I would get this, that’s what I tell everyone. The price is way too high on this one, it’s a fun flyer but not for the price. Thanks for watching
Just got the hs720 but still trying to figure out how the camera works. If you have the SSD card and you push and hold the camera bottom in the controller start recording in the SSD, but also seems to be recording the video in the memory phone. Don't understand the logic of recording in the SSD card and the phone
It’s just a Wi-Fi recording in case your SD card was not formatted, should be a option on your phone not to record caches. It’s low quality 720P from your phone with lag since it’s Wi-Fi and not direct recording like the sd card for high quality no lag.
I've been shopping for drones and the search is exhausting. I am new to the hobby and looking for a drone under $350, so many selections out there. For my budget, could someone recommend the best drone out there? I bought the DJI Mini SE and ended up returning it because there was no app available that was compatible with my Z Flip 3 phone. I never even had the chance to fly the drone, just returned it out of frustration and anger. Word of caution, if you have the newer Android phones and planning to buy DJI drones, think twice or do your homework first before you buy. For $350, what is the best drone???

thx for both your videos. they helped me cut thru most the stuff in the manual that was too hard for an old (non technical) man to understand. i need help. i go thru all the steps shown in both your vids and all goes well, but every time i open the ophelio go app my screen shows "NOT CONNECTED" in the upper left corner. then i go back to my iphone settings and the Holy stone wifi now says "no internet". i just dont get it. i never had this problem with my old Bugs 2 drone. can anyone help me?

Yes as long as your devices support duel 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz Wi-Fi . The drone puts out its own 5g Wi-Fi so you have to have 5g Wi-Fi and not 5g service.

Have you replaced the arm and motor yet? Mine crashed after an unexplained 180 degree flip right after auto take off and smashed to the ground. The replacement arms and motor show just the arm and motor, but the HolyStone video show the wiring loom cut and a new one threaded back in and re-soldered. HolyStone hasn't yet returned my e-mail. The arems and motors are available on Amazon or E-Bay at about 34 bucks.
If you bought it from Amazon, you should be able to replace the drone all together. I haven’t had any problems with mine, you sure your propellers are on the right motors? I would, the dji mini is way better if you can afford it. I may work with a lot of these drone companies, by reviewing and helping them to sell. But one thing I will definitely let people know if another drone product is better. I rather see someone get the right drone then trying to make a buck. Thanks for watching. Your phone needs to have 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz duel WiFi band. The drone puts out its own 5.8ghz (802.12ac) WiFi for your phone to connect too. So 4G or 5G phone service does not matter, it’s about your phone having that duel wifi band. You can ask your phone provider if your phone has this or you can google your phone model to check. I know that all iPhones from iPhone 5s to the latest model has duel band WiFi. I don’t know much about android, I know the latest Samsung galaxies have the duel wifi bands.
Ruko F11pro is better or holystone 720E is better? Which one is better
F11 has 2 pros, one has a 3 axis gimbal with eis. So I’m not sure about that one, I have not reviewed it. If it’s the Regular pro version with no gimbal or EIS, then I would have to choose the HS720E
Try the fastest micro sd card. My brother says it will help with the glitchy video cause of the faster transfer rate. its 2 Cold here in Canada to test mine with my new Samsung micro sd card.
I use Sandisk class10 u3 in all 4K drones
I have about 5 hours of flight time now and I really like my 720E. So far I would say that my only notes are that the Ophelia GPS app will not work, and I am using Ophelia Go as a result. I cannot seem to get data from the sdcard to download to the phone (can see, can select, can do nothing else from within Ophelia) so I have to pull it to collect data.
I find that even GPS, gryo, calibration all green that it will tend to drift slowly in hover and landing can be hairy as a result especially given as the motors seem resistant to shutdown.
Michael Reed you can always hit the emergency stop to shut the motors down. With mine I use a 32gb for filming and have to use a video reader to play it on my phone. A lot of Phones can’t pick up the 4k video and also some struggle reading the 1080p 60fps. For me I don’t have a PC so I have to edit everything in 1080p from my iPhone. I also tell people to buy a SYMA x5w to practice the flying basics first. There great for learning and only cost 40 bucks or less. Then you can upgrade to a gps drone. If you do buy this drone, make sure your phone model can receive duel 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz WiFi band. All iPhones have this from iPhone 5s to the latest iPhone model. Android you will have to google to find out.

It’s either iOS iPhone 10 or 7 in this video, I stopped using android because I was having problems too with other drones.

Ive witnessed on other drone calibration instructions are to walk around the drone to callibrate?
My old mjx bugs I used to calibrate that way. I haven’t seen any directions recommending a walk around for a few years now. This drone you do not, just have to calibrate like I demonstrate in the video. Thanks for watching. Have a great one. Sorry for the late reply.

Your at the mercy of the manufacture settings unfortunately. Every thing is present and there is no manual picture mode.

Well actually I been in the hospital. I didn’t know why I couldn’t breathe, I have blood clots in my lungs. But thanks for the concern and it has taken Months to finally start breathing a little better. How was the footage once you placed the SD card into your home Computer? I am trying to decide between this drone and the DJI Mavic Mini. The DJI is way more expensive.
200 more you can get the Mavic mini, just save up if you can. The mini will be much better. I don’t have a PC so I edit everything from my iPhone. So I don’t get to see the 4k video because I have to film in 1080p 60fps

I prefer the HolyStone hs720e over the MJX bugs 20. The hs720e is foldable and I feel is a better flyer. Next week I will be reviewing the mjx bugs 12 eis. Which it’s more like the HolyStone hs720e, so look forward to that review soon. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
