Yeah. In the last level, you had to go right through the burners on the higher pitched note. It was an audio cue...actually kind of a cool concept.

same song, I was just thinking of the wrong verse, and had somewhat messed even that up. in my defense, I haven't heard the song in over a decade...
That burner level is actually fairly interesting, it’s using the black hole and game genie glitches to make a lot of those setups work

That warm-up level - I bet he edited out 30 minutes of effort. Ryu appreciates our time so much.
Just for reference when you're playing out of 100 man it still takes almost 6 seconds so the 100 man is only adding 1 second you're just mentally feeling it as longer.
So happy Ryu made so much extra 100 Mario challenge

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Ryu explained to us the wait times, and then proceeded to waste 11.66 minutes on his second run.
Those burners actually lined up with the audio rythm on last room. You could been kept the run alive if no rush 🤔
It seemed like if you spin jumped in the corner, the ceiling prevented you from overshooting the burner.

That burner level came in clutch. Levels before that were not expert at all.
Ryukahr should do a 100 man run and whatever lives he beats it with, he goes into another run with that many lives and see how many runs he can do before he loses all lives. For example beats a run with 75 lives and does another 100 man with 75 lives and so on until 0
Edit: Didn’t realize you can’t play it anymore lol
When Ryu said "Stage 4 with 94" I thought there is an outside chance of ending the run with a 100 lives.

On the last level, was there a dev skip of past the check point by getting the copter and then going back to the pipe damage boosting through that last section?
If so that is pretty legit of the creator to make a dev exit that you can only use through the checkpoint due to the time limit, while also giving you the opportunity to get a checkpoint and not forcing themselves to go through the second half twice.

the burner lv w/o the checkpoint is even worse, just imagine you make it through all that and then timeout with the ax in sight. It took Ryu about 15 seconds to get to the pipe in the first half and then it took it about another 13 seconds to get through the sub-world to the end. Timer would be super tight

There are 1-ups, so you could lose up to 115 lives, which is a little over 12.5 minutes of waiting.
