we're in the final 1600-odd levels and they're getting to be very, very insane. I reckon he should give it a good crack now that it's the hardest of the hardest. The garbage had been cleaned out by 0%.
I would love to see Ryu taking care of this too. I am sure it would be really entertaining and have a huge sense of accomplishments to go to a common goal
For that final level I'm pretty sure the 'intended' way was to land on the shell and then wall jump at the red coin. And I'm also pretty sure that it was intentional to not just grab the fire flower and go back, but to immediately let the donut block go down and then go through the door. Then you jump over the munchers, grab the fire flower on your way out and use the donut to go through the door again. Of course, it's kinda confusing, sloppy, not consistent... and I'm pretty sure your way was faster. The intended way no doubt would've ended up with a 1 second finish, maybe 2 with extremely optimized play.

Ryu! Have you heard of team 0%? I feel like a lot of your subscribers have and would love to see you work towards the goal with them or even just mention if you've heard of what they're doing. Also, I heard recently they still have some uncleared midair consistency levels... like a certain level we all know... hmm... would be an awesome way to contribute to team 0% and finish that saga in style, if you can bear the suffering.
I could be wrong about the last level but I think it is possible that the person that made it wanted you to jump off the bettle shell a second time and get to the oneway in the spikes that has the red coin next to it.

21:29 Carl played a puzzle level 5 years ago where that mechanic is used multiple times. You can break two rows without jumping if you have a mushroom.

Anyways, what I'm doing is playing this 622 level Romhack called " Six Pack " and it's some kind of contest people did but I'm playing it just to see how many of those levels I can beat. I'm at 194 levels beaten so far. Some are very tough and very long too. There's been 15 or so levels I could just fly right over to the end. Cool game to try to race someone to see who beats them all first or beats the most within 2 weeks or something.
Maybe you know this by now but magic koopas are not RNG. What they turn stuff into is related to what Mario's doing at that instant (ducking, jumping, looking left/right) 🙂
for the mushroom rng there's a weird thing I remember seeing a video on where if Mario is positioned certain ways, then specific items will spawn from the kamek magic, so it isn't really rng its more of like knowing the positioning. I don't remember for sure but i think for a mushroom Mario has to be looking up or something weird. I think that's why it kept spawning the goombrat when you were facing left. Take what I say with a grain of salt, I don't know how accurate I am.
That last level was bad RNG for the most recent Yoshi killings. I can totally imagine a position at Nintendo, where the guy's only job is watching all the major MM streamers on all platforms and count how many times they unnecessarily kill a Yoshi. Then send down that number to the RNG department, where another set of workers wait to pull a lever and send bad RNG toward our heroes while laughing maniacally. Imagine Queen's Another one bites the dust playing in the background.🤣

Proposal for Mario Maker 3: an optional setting that shows you where hidden blocks are if you fail a level enough times (let's say 3-10). Or perhaps when a level has a low clear rate or something. Troll levels are all well and good but there needs to be some retribution.
@@orangemonks894 I really think having a way to always see invisible blocks would be detrimental to the experience. When used correctly they're supposed to be a surprise/hidden reward for thorough players. Also if you fill an area too much with them, showing them all at once can make it very hard to see/play, since you may need to be able to drop through the tops of them to play the level. I think a good middle ground would be to force you to fail the level a few times, otherwise they will effectively be useless to add to a level.
