I appreciate the video, So I don't want you to think it's complaining, but the fast forwarding does let us see the details of where wires go ,carb hook up, for most of us, were watching to see if you show how something goes together cause we get them mostly torn apart with no manual, hope you slow down the vids so we can watch what goes where in detail, unless you have a different reason for these vids other then learning, thanks again
I started the channel trying to do entire projects in 1 shot. Now I started breaking them up and doing "How To" style videos for the details. Thanks for watching and more to come soon!
Cat didn't even flinch when you turned over motor! Raised around wrenches . Great build
That's Stringer. The best cat ever! Thank you for the support!
I got one just like that for free. It sat out in my buddies yard for three year's so he figured it was scrap. Got it running in a couple hours and $40 worth of parts. Spent a few more hour's on paint. The kid's really enjoyed it. It's been sitting again for the last year so maybe it's time to fix it up again.
Love it man! I believe that is where I see the most value in these atvs. Low cost upfront for the kids to have fun and they are easy to work on when they break!
Great video. A lot of people would have just chucked it because it's "Chinese" and because "it's a complete waste of time to try to fix," but I see it as a learning experience of how to do things better.
Couldn't have said it any better myself! It is a great learning opportunity and doesn't break the bank to get the education either!
My friend had that same atv
Its one of the best chineese atvs ever made
Ive never seen a brand quad receive the level of abuse his had to go over
It was a good little ATV for sure! Thanks for watching!
What kind of quad is it
@@mookgetzbz9624 im not sure all i know it was an old quad provably around 2009 i guess but i didnt get tthe model and i have not seen videos about it but this quad specifically in my opinion is better than any other brand 110cc for sure
If it where not for the 3 gears
@@speedyboi349 I just got a 150cc automatic I want to get the motor with gears
Wow.... will do man can't wait for the next vid
I just started watching the last 2 days. I love your advice I love how you always move to the next step if you have to pause on one step. Your advice is helpful and I do appreciate you. And I will let you know how my project is coming with my bike with my kids as well.
These videos were very well put together. What I find awesome is that i have the exact two same atvs you have done rebuilds on so far and I did a rebuild on the kazuma model prior to wathcing to both of your videos and now i wish i would of wathced your videos first because your rebuilds are very well done. Especially liking the red on black theme.
Acro Osiris thank you so much for the positive feedback! I’ve been busy with my boys riding snowmobiles but the next ATV rebuild will be finished this week!
Awesome! I cant wait.
@@PraskaBoysGaragewhere do you stay
You put in far more effort in repairing it than the manufacturer put into designing or assembling it.
Unfortunately that’s probably true. They are considered by most people as “throw away” quads. Just trying my best to help save a couple to keep kids riding without breaking the bank!
Praska Boy's Garage hey buddy was this a kids 110cc quad?
Hey BJ, did you use POR-15 on the painted parts? If so, do you use the top coat also? I hear without the top coat UV rays discolor the POR.
That's for sure
Exactly why China doesn't need to build it. We should or Japan.
I love the red. Really stands out.
Thank you! We are big fans at my house of the red/black combo
Your videos are brilliant... Excellent and in depth look at everything, I have recently purchased one of these Chinese ATV’s for fun and am planning on fixing it up & will be referring to your video throughout working on it! Keep doing what you do!
CalvinOneTwoThree Thank you so much for the positive support! I’ve been rebuild them for years now so I thought it would be fun to share the experience. The next ATV project should be done in a couple weeks. It’s a complete strip of every single nut and bolt with a complete engine rebuild!
Praska Boy's Garage Credit where credit is due bud😀.. I look forward to seeing that too!
Now you got me wanting to go out and buy old non running four wheelers and fix em up. You are really an inspiration to all of us.
Bridgett Mcclure You should! They are a blast, and it’s very rewarding when you get it done!
Just found this channel I'm hooked great job.

Awesome man!! I loved watching this! You got me wanting to do this to mine, I just got give to me. I knew you were gonna paint the wheels black😉 Looks dope man!! Love it!
I bought my brother a cheap Chinese Baja quad from pep boys back in '05, looks really close to the one you have except mines a 125cc. That thing still runs and it starts easier than my Honda TRX400EX when it's cold. It's pretty beat up and one of the brake lines broke but it still runs like a champ after 15 years of running around on it! Love this video
Thank you for the support! Love hearings stories like this!

I'm on my fifth and sixth one now, I just found two that are almost new and both have broken engine mounts. 200$ for both and should be able to sell them for 800 each. It's a great hobby.

Awsome videos! Fun to see the whole builds in one episode. really liked your engine stand so tried to search for it, but had no luck finding the same one. Do you remember whats the name/brand of it ? i see some extra stuff beside it in the same collour aswell, is that adapters for other engines ? Best regards from Norway
Øystein Bråten Thanks man, I’m glad you like the videos! My engine stand is probably my number 1 comment on my channel! I purchased it on eBay from the seller bomcbe2kzy. He doesn’t currently have any posted but I think he can make them to order. Cost me around $120 bucks. Your correct, in the background you’ll see it came with 2 additional mounting plates for different types of motors!
You videos are great bruh
Check Gray Thanks man! Current ATV on the bench was caught on fire! Going to make for a good upcoming video!
nice rebuild, been planning on purchasing the same atv for diy mods.

@@PraskaBoysGarage what do you reccomend for myself ? 6' tall about 180 lbs? I'm really digging your videos. Especially when you gave that family the 4 wheeler back! Definitely subscribed and hope to learn from you.
Matthew It depends on how mechanical you are. If your just getting started learn on a cheap Chinese ATV first. Then I would look to get either a Raptor 350 for a sports quad or a Honda Fourtrax. Great atvs to work on and a blast to ride without breaking the bank! Keep me posted on what you get!
@@PraskaBoysGarage thanks man! Will do, probably a Chinese one because I just want something to mess around on. I'll start casually looking in a few weeks

@@PraskaBoysGarage now i really want to spray paint my wheels!! ;)
zayyylo HD Yes, I believe they do. Some are water cooled but for the most part they are air cooled. The big difference is overall size and wiring.
Pls make more videos
Awesome build! Gotta love black and red.
Red, Black and White is still to this day my favorite color combo for power sports!
You got the same quad as my friends kid. We had to do some work to it on occasion but that jr sized 110 lasted him from 10 to 14 years old.
It costs $120 a year for 4 years to buzz around the farm. He outgrew it.
Moved on to dads z400.
Now hear 21 and just picked up a canned ham xmr 1000.
I bought a 50 sized w a 110 motor for $100 used, 10 years ago. I've messed w the carb enough to make it run really well. It pulls me around pretty well at #180 been great for my kids to learn.
That little china, honda knock off is on its 4th rider.
Btw bought a real nice motorcycle battery. Brand name. It was around $120 a few years later needed a new battery. Bought its 2nd battery from walmart paid $33 , no $h!t. Its been starting that little machine for 5 years now
That's awesome. Everything you said is exactly what these little guys are made for. Keeps you riding, teaches you how to work on small engines and when your ready you can pay some money and step up into a nicer name brand unit! Love it!
do you know the brand of this atv got the same and cant find ?
@@marcallard9732 dont remember ? Try google lens. Of course easier said than done....... Let me give it a try.
Still not sure bit after 60 seconds of research, kymco ? Casey ? Im sure the motors are all similar and made by a chinese/ honda knock off company named (almost looks like zyljan but its longer.... Strarts w a z)

Thank You! I'm glad you enjoy the channel!
Great video!
I just picked up a 200cc for free. Hopefully I can get it started and make it look sharp like your build.
The trouble is that I don't have any other info about this atv other than 200cc and that it's one of the first generation, so it makes it hard to order parts.
I'm alway searching for a 150cc or 200cc that's water cooled. Would like to do one of those for the channel! Good luck on your project!
Its chinese that's it you need to know they almost all share parts
I love your video! But just a heads up you should try mixing a little bit of 2 stroke oil with your fuel when your starting them like that, keeps everything nice and lubricated. Once again though great video!
That’s great advise! I always get way too excited to hear it fire for the 1st time I never think of that!!!
Well done. Great video as well.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
I had this quad as a kid it brings back good memories.
Good to hear! They serve a good purpose for youth riders!
What kind of quad is it
We’ve upgrade sprockets, chain, hubs (4 bolt), wheels/ tires, shocks and plastics. Installed new engine but am having trouble starting. Electrical sucks!
You can earth 110 motors to only have electric start, kill and 12v output to battery for lights, etc. Look it up on YT
Plasti-dip works great on plastics and the good part is it peels off if you need it to. You should also paint the wheels center caps red also.
This bad boy has been sold but thats a good idea! I'll remember that for the new project!
Sweet Job, think the best part was the last minute. 👍
Thanks, the last minute is definitely the reward for all the work!
Nice videos, nice shop, nice work. Really enjoy watching. You do a good job of slowing down and explaining the important parts and use the time laps for the mundane parts. I like this approach as you can still “see” what’s going on. I have a question about your motor stand. Where did you get it or how did you make it?
GrowYourOwn Thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback! I film and edit the way I would like to watch if I was a viewer. Kind of a hybrid between the only restore no talking vids and “how to” vids. I came across the stand on eBay back in January 2018. The seller was bomcbe2kz7 and the item number was 173080767269. If I remember correctly, I paid about $110 with shipping. It has 3 mounting plates for different types of small engines. Definitely money well spent for my shop!
Tab won't start
That was a cool little trip
Thanks!
Bought a 125 yesterday for 20 bucks and got it home the motor was cracked wondering if it would be cheaper just to by a new one.. appreciate the upload 🤟🏼
You can buy them for under $300 bucks on eBay. Between a new motor, new wiring and the atv Id say you've made a solid machine for a cheap investment.
Maybe like a maintenance/upkeep tutorial for ppl like me who own a quad but only know the very basics, maybe like how to change the oil or something? Anyhoo, your doin' great !So, as long as you enjoy it, it will reflect that, and you will draw more attention with honesty! Keep up the good work! You got me as a sub!
Love it! Thanks man!

Awesome! Good luck on your project, if you have questions I'd be happy to help!
@@PraskaBoysGarage how fast in mph can you get out of a 150cc quad?
@@scotttownsend6223 Depends on your gearing honestly. But without sacrificing low end torque you can get in the 50s range.
@@PraskaBoysGarage I'm getting an automatic, would rhat get into the 50's?
@@scotttownsend6223 I would need to know what size sprockets your running and your rear tire size to calculate. Depends on the gear ratio, but I assume a 150cc automatic with stock gearing should get you into the mid 40s up to low 50s.
I just got into doing these and wow I hope my first restore looks like that I am almost done had it for about 1.5 weeks now

@@PraskaBoysGarage I have started! However, have you ever encountered a quad with only 4 wires out of the stator that include green, two yellows and a blue/white. There is no black/red ! I have taken off the stator cover to see if perhaps the wire had broken within the cable sheath but no, there is no black/red entering the loom from within the cover. I can only see green, two yellows and a blue/white. Any advice would be much appreciated
temple68 interesting...So green is ground, yellow is the charging & lighting wires and I believe blue is the pick up for the cdi box. Follow the blue, does it go to the cdi? That should tell it when to fire spark from the timing and red/black should charge the cdi. Only 4 wires is new to me, but I was trace and and see where they all go.
Hi and me again (alextas temple68). I have little idea about youtube. I have been playing a bit more with my quad and another one. Turns out the 4 wire stator is intended for a dc cdi. I made up an ugly loom and got it going. Instead of the black/red you take a red straight from the battery. Tried it on another quad which originally had an ac 5 pin cdi and black/red from the stator. Hooked it up in the same way using red from battery and not the black/red, and it went too! Very happy but am using a double house light switch as start and run which is not ideal so will have to spend some more time to get them bush ready!! Will try and add a picture somehow...
FYI When painting plastic fenders or Parts on cars must use Adhesive Promoter bulldog $20 a can will keep paint from chipping and peeling right off plastic
Good advise! Thanks
I am envious of your skills
I appreciate that, and I’ll be the first to say I have a lot more learning to do. Accuracy by volume has been my technique! Just getting my hands on as many small engines as I can!
You don’t have to take the side cover off to take the starter out, all you have to do is take out 3 bolts and done.
Good job very good job
