Before you make a major purchase, first do your due-diligence to research BEFORE you sign on the dotted-line. If you are pressure to sign NOW just walk away, walk away, walk away. Just wait in the lobby for everyone else to be finished with their presentation and get your ride back to your pickup location. I just NEVER understand why people sign for something, as major as this type of purchase and do not FULLY read all documents, but rely on what someone who you do not know tell you. Of course, they will tell you all the GREAT things about the purchase, so you can buy. Unless they had a gun to your head and/or threatening you will physical harm, you are NOT forced to make a purchase, if you do not want to. It's cheaper to catch a cab and/or UBER back to your location than sign for a major purchase that you will have for the remainder of your life. There's NO ONE who can talked me into buying something that I don't want. I don't care how smooth they talk. I just don't pick up the pen and sign. Sorry, but a HUGE ADULT lesson you learned. And, this lesson is not ONLY for buying a Timeshare, but a house, car, or any MAJOR purchases. If it's too good to be true - it probably isn't true!!!!
I was always honest, told them upfront I wasn't going to buy, I would leave at 90 minute mark and wanted my free gift. Best moment though was while being pitched a 17K unit at Oak Plantation in Kissimmee, I googled one in the same complex for sale at one dollar from a desperate owner looking to dump it and the exorbitant maintenance fees. I of course showed the salesman, got up, grabbed my free Universal Studio tickets and left.
I am a VICTIM of this company as well. I'm also a disabled veteran. I'm afraid of forking out money to a "timeshare cancellation" and it not being legit.
I never had a 5 hour sales pitch. Kind of enjoy telling them no. Then they give me a gift. And I already am an owner. I have 3 bedroom condo that is spectacular. This guy is nuts.
Hey..we've been there..got the T Shirt . We get mithered year after year..to buy more points. We are owners from the UK ..we just say no. We go for 10 days max. No intention of selling/ renting..We like our time in the US. Maintenance fees are a pain in the ass. I feel this is a rip off. Still, this is five star accommodation for us and 10 days of luxury. Our 10th consecutive year here. I'm gutted we won't be able to be there 2020 because of the big 'V'😢
Your not lying. I had a roach infested villa. I had a bad experience with sales rep which I actually deterred us from getting sucked into this. It’s a nice place but I don’t want this as a timeshare.
wow I just purchased a timeshare last week I hope I do not experiences any problems, I glad there were some good comments below, I really was feeling sad about it but i will see later when I visited orange lake next year. I keeping my timeshare when it is paid off, I am a traveller at least my accomdations will be paid for the only thing I will have to pay is airfare.
Sorry that you went through this, but these types of scams know how to use the law in their favor. This is why I stress NOT signing anything before you can read it, not glance over it or have a lawyer look at it. If they tell you the deal is only good for that day then it's not a good deal.
We just did the tour yesterday. WOW!!!! They told us 90 minutes when we agreed, after three hours of telling them no. I finally said I feel like we are being held hostage. The Rep said well so much for you two being Christians. What?? I searched thru scripture last night and could not find “You shall not say NO to high pressure sales reps” 😂 They did give us our $429 dollars and let us leave after I told them I was recording, and they blew a gasket 😂
I’ve owned here since the 80’s I love it. Never had a dirty room or issues. Too bad for your luck. Don’t know why you’d let salesmen bully you like that. Sorry for your bad experience.

So many people crying infront of you because they are stuck in a mortgage and their third room move that day had bed bugs or roaches
I've been to a few timeshare seminars(just for the free gifts🎁💳) myself. However, I ask them, how much money a year do you have to earn to qualify for a timeshare? If they don't know or say it doesn't matter, you know it a scam. You can't buy a house without the seller not knowing how much money you earn. If the timeshare salesmen gives you a figure amount a year to qualify, then tell him you don't even make close to that amount.

As he was on the ground I picked up his head and said, "you know who I am, if we see you again my associate will knock your teeth out". Never did get contacted again.
Go in standing your ground and after the time limit, tell them you will call the authorities if they don’t let you leave. No one can keep you from leaving.
Abraham Harmouche the rooms are garbage but everyone has their own standards and some people are fine with those rooms. Straight fraud though because the rooms they put you in are not the quality they show you at presentation SCAM

Why would you meet with a company that is already harassing you with phone calls? I would have reported and blocked their number. No legit company calls like that.

Wouldn't it just be easier to sell a product that someone didn't have to entice people to come in to see with free gifts and then not let them leave for upwards of 4-6 Plus hours? And then when you're met with resistance you increase the pressure on the potential buyer because you're trying to sell them something that you started at a super high price and then go three rounds of reducing the price and bringing in different people to see if you can get them to crack. I'm sorry but I think it would be easier to find a product that you can sell that when people come in they haven't been offered free crap just to get them in the door. You should want to sell a product that pretty much when they come in they need it, they want it, and there is some negotiation involved and questions and answers required but they're very open because it's something that is required and necessary. I know this may boggle a timeshare sales persons mind but there are many many different types of products you can sell and make a terrific living that people need in their lives and will let you sleep at night comfortably. Well, I think a lot of the people that sell timeshare really sleep fine at night because they don't really have morals they're willing to do whatever it takes to make their money including lying
It's not that simple. They are very good at what they do - control & manipulate. They pick you up in their little golf cart & ride a long way to the sales presentation. It would be a VERY long walk back. So you're at their mercy.

Started to give me a hassle so I threatened to tell the whole room they could buy for 50 bucks vs 40k. They couldn't get us out of there fast enough. Got my swag gifts too. Florida law says they have to provide the gifts no matter if you buy or not.
You DO NOT UNDERSTAND, they deceive people that are very intelligent with different tactics and usually they get older people and they get them good, with amazing promises that are just lies. They got my in laws, she's 72+ and he was 82+ cancer terminal and they screwed them up with a full "upgrade" LIE for more than $60,000+ You shouldn't call names if you do not know any better and on top of that it is impossible to get rid of this BS

My father owns timeshare at Orange Lake. He's been vacationing through his points package for years!

I've been an owner with them for 10 years and honestly I've really enjoyed it. We paid it off and go on great vacations all the time.

My dad has been a time share owner since 2008 i have used it the last 4 years and have had ZERO problems. Sorry you had such a bad experience.
