Yes, I agree the operator is extremely skilled, no doubt about it. But the level of trust his co-worker expresses in this video is astonishing as well. We are talking about potentially lethal levels of force operating less than half a meter from the guy, and he just casually levers blocks of edge stones free so his buddy in the excavator cabin can grip them with enough force to grind any bone in his body to pulp. And he just stands there calmly, trusting his buddy implicitly. THAT'S the level of trust that is noteworthy as well. That shows how good the operator of the excavator must be on a daily basis to develop THIS level of trust.

It’s really mind blowing, and what you’re doing is literally an art. It’s the art of keeping a functional community by using this machine. So many times, people leave chunks of asphalt, break the side walk, leave dirt everywhere. Not only that, but are really reckless and dangerous. The fact you were able to handle a SHOVEL with this machine so delicately that your team trusted you, is really mind blowing.

Here in Rome, you can see, by walking or driving, that the roads and sidewalks are abandoned, plenty of holes and disruptions everywhere. Then when a job as be done, like the superb one in the video, it took at least 3 days, and it was crap done (probably to do it again after a short time) and the manhole is for sure 10cm under the road level.

I totally enjoy watching a great operator run a machine like this one. I've been an operator for the past thirty years and can notice when a operator knows what they are doing and this one sure does.

This must be the most enjoyable construction video I have seen in a long time or maybe ever! I started giggling, when you moved little items out of the way, like the shovel. Then comes out a broom attachment, which is so cool. I've never seen that before. But when you moved the traffic cones, I laughed so hard! You rock 🤘👊
