Not the David's boat mechanics dilemma HAHA 😂😭 best opening
And Marques’ blooper in the outro 😂
@@maruiacancerccareful, this post seems to be fraud. I’m seeing it on a number of channels.
@@ReluctantSpiritbro what?!
@@melgrossFr? I was just about to send some consolidation💀
Cant blame him. the concept of Buoyancy seems like magic to most
54:57 Andrew about to sing Titanium and being cut off got me rolling 😭
I guess I have to live my life incomplete until he finishes the chorus
It's a good think because I couldn't actually think of the tune to go with it 🤣
I have no interest in solar roofs at all, but I watched the whole video because it was soooo well presented.
Marques has the ability to make everything interesting
😊❤
same lol
Yeah the animations were slick when he’d talk about the power draw & recharge.
I am super interested. However where I live electricity is so low I’ll never break even. For me it is about sustainable energy
David strong in the regular season, Andrew with strong comeback in the finals, and Marques with a game 7 win seems to be the trend for trivia.
David is asking the questions we never thought to ask but need to know
Finally I like him a bit
Which question?
Or the ones you learn in a physics class
I love his contribution to the podcast!
yes, you are right - i love david!
12:48 don’t let your tank get below 1/4 for several reasons. Your fuel pumps get very warm when running in an empty tank and therefore actually benefits from being submerged since gasoline helps it stay cool, thus prolonging it’s life. Gasoline has a low boiling point, which means it evaporates faster than water does, so when your gas tank is low, it has that much room to evaporate into, therefore increasing its evaporation rate. Also, this gives more space for condensation to build up on the upper wall of the tank, which in case of a poor functioning EVAP system, water will eventually drip into the gasoline below, and since water is denser than gasoline, if enough builds up, it can get picked up by the pump, which will cause a myriad of other problems (this is especially true in humid and cooler climates). Finally, bringing your gas tank to such low point will leave you helpless in case of an emergency and you’re down to empty. Last thing you want to happen is to have to rush to the hospital for any kind of emergency and not being able to make it because your an out of gas. My experience comes from 12+ years deep in the automotive industry in various aspects.
Came here to say this- very well explained!
Genuine Question; how does the gasoline evaporating at a lower temperature than water cause water droplets to form at the top? It can’t be that the water in the gasoline is evaporating since the gas evaporates before it. And how does the water condense at the top if the tank is heating up instead of cooling down? Not trying to disprove you, like I said, genuine inquiries.
@@nylotical I probably could have explained a little better. Gasoline’s lower evaporation temperature has little to do directly with condensation. However, gasoline in a low or near empty tank will evaporate faster than if it was full. If the tank is low or near empty, the missing liquid inside of it is replaced with air thanks to the EVAP system that “circulates” air in order to prevent said fumes from going into the atmosphere as fast, and therefore also keeping pressures low. The more air that’s in the tank, the more moisture you have. That larger level of moisture more quickly condenses into liquid during periods of rapid temperature changes, like driving in a warm day and parking in a cool night. If the gas tank was full or near full, that’s less air in the tank leaving less room for gasoline fumes to evaporate into and moisture to quickly turn into liquid.

It’s so crazy to see how good this team is at making videos. The audio and video quality NO MATTER WHAT VIDEO is always A1 S-Tier Gold standard of video production at that moment in time!
Google will definitely keep pushing for apps to be compatible with different screen sizes. Unless they kill the Pixel Fold, Pixel Tablet and Google Play Games beta for PC.
Wait what? There is Google Play Games for PC?
@user-tj9gj2wx5d not that great yet, it's just the regular mobile games 🙄
Apple: Yeah so we have a tablet, if you want to publish your app to those users, you have to mark it yourself as being able to look good on the tablets form-factor.
Google: Here's a new phone type, scales 4 different ways depending on how you hold it, we might kill it off, we might not, not a lot of people using it at the moment. We will present your app to all users on the Play Store the same way, no matter their device. Your app doesn't support our new experimental phone? Well you have 2 months to grant our wishes, or you get a "looks like poo" sticker.
😂😂😂 Accurate
We still can't blame apple
@@superiortoall22not accurate. Apps do look better on iOS. This has been true from the beginning.
this is why i have android phone, but an ipad. the ipad is just better
@@bradhaines3142same. i haven’t had another apple device in a decade but i use my ipad everyday
Samsung has the Galaxy SmartTags.
They were acting like there's no Android equivalent to airtags, which I thought was weird. The SmartThings app has a whole "find my" ecosystem similar to what they were talking about.
I was screaming the whole time listening to that part...like are they just gonna pretend smarttags has aren't a thing...and are actually more reliable than airbags in tests....
It feel odd when they talk about Android in the US, even tho Samsung has a near monopoly on Android in the US....but they almost try to mention galaxy is as little as possible
Also, I had this thing from Malaysia called "TAGLA" over 6 years ago. It's essentially an Airtag and has both iOS and Android apps.
Story time: Had a big international trip coming up, weather delays meant getting rebooked on a different flight to get to the international airport and having my bags taken off the plane and onto another. Get to Fort Lauderdale, Delta says bag is in North Carolina still. I check Find My, bags are already at Miami International since they went on a different flight! Same trip - I make it to Barcelona, and check Find My as soon as I land and my bags were still in Turkey. I never travel without my AirTags.
"Hide your blue... Hide your kids, hide your checkmarks" had me on the floor 😂😂😂
The roof video was one of the more interesting video I've seen on the channel in a while. All the phones/laptops are kind of the same and first impressions of the new tech are cool, but actually utilizing and the ins and outs of it was fascinating especially since I'd like to get solar power in the future if possible. Hope to see more about solar technology, but for apartment life. Also, I liked Andrew's hiking video. Hope to see more of these types of videos.
That end trivia section was pure gold 😂
The reason why I loved the solar roof video is the same reason I love all of your videos.Im a mid west single mom and I love new tech but I dont get to see it or experience it often.Your videos and pod casts bring whats going on and exciting to my living room.
After watching the first 30 seconds you know this is going to be good.
The Roof video was awesome! I've always been curious about Solar panels and didnt know there were solar panel roof tiles.👍 It was very informative in an entertaining way.
Judging by the title I thought this would be the shortest podcast yet!
I’d love to see a Nothing foldable 😊
Me too. Its a shame how much research funding is needed to have a try, if not I'm sure improvement, innovation and competition would be a lot faster 😔
Y’all want the same phones just by different companies 😂😂
Been using the Nothing Phone 2 for a while now and it is well done. I think a foldable by then would be better and cheaper than either Google or Samsung.
You wanna be broke.
5:13 about the Tesla roof I think I big draw is that it's a high quality video about Solar roofs NOT based out of California for a huge chunk of Americans this is a much more relatable climate and home ownership experience
Yeah, sbowing the impact from all four seasons was super helpful because Americans all over the country have to deal with some form of weather
Wait, I wanted to hear more of the boat conversation.
Regarding solar panels, i loved your video, I only wish it touched more on how affordable it can be. I’ve got a 6 megawatt system (which really produces between 5 and 5.5 MWh per year) but it covers 80% of my electricity and cost me about 19k before tax breaks. Which really is less than the price of a new small car
6 kw, not mw, right?
@@matteoianni9372Sorry, I mean it’s supposed to produce 6MWh per year
Another amazing episode. Watching y'all from Ghana 🇬🇭 West Africa
😂😂I think that was the best trivia ever. You guys had me laughing out loud on my Sunday morning dog walk. Bravo
Absolutely loved the Trivia part of the show. All are so Competitive.✌️💯
Watching this right after the Rimac Nevera video, ties in well with Marques' shirt!
Great episode! Keep up the awesome work team!
When they said, matte midnight, that hyped me up in all ways 😂
Action button on ultra can be mapped to a shortcut that can do different things based off location, time, etc.
No joke I wanted to buy an Iphone since the privacy focus of iOS 14.5, I never did because it doesn't have usb-c. That's the single thing Apple has to do to win me over.
Literally it's the only thing holding me back , USB C pls!
Will usb c increasing the charging speed? That's the only reason I haven't tried an iPhone.
@@TheAaronJP it should. Yes.
It can. But that doesnt mean apple will enable it @@TheAaronJP
Marques, that Tesla roof video was super informative and timely for me personally, as we're modernizing the family homestead and planning to go solar. That video answered so many questions.
Really dope episode 🥺 and that pixel fold inside discussion was cool 🔥
thank you for posting the Tesla Roof Video btw! that was super informative since some of my clients have been interested in the Tesla Tiles as opposed to the panels. Good job!
I cannot believe what I am seeing it with my eyes! LOOL TY SO MUCH!
I agree it's just a roof, but what made your video so special is you, your breakdown and your explanation
Perfect way to start the weekend
The insights into the upcoming iPhone 15 and its transformative features are truly exciting. A big thank you to Marques and the entire team for keeping us informed and engaged with the latest tech developments.🤙🏾
I m so happy to find this tutorial. It's working for me. Thank you for sharing
My small gripe about the pixel fold is the keyboard, because choosing words above the keyboard gives 3 words to choose from but it needs 4 words. The middle word is hard to reach when opened like a book. Hopeful for interface changes.
The base model iPad (10th gen) does not have lightning anymore, it just works the first gen apple pencil which charges via a lightning port. They still do sell the 9th gen as well that has the lightning port, but then they also sell iPhone 12s and 13s
I've been using the pixel fold for the last month or so and I love it. I also find myself using the outside screen more than the inside. The inside screen is more of me multitasking docs and web browser or watching videos.
Battery life could be better, but I make it to the evening through my work day before needing to charge. I do wish the screens were more scratch resistant. Within a week I found scratches already on the inside screen. I'm now wiping it down each time or inspecting it before I close the screen. Have this paranoia now.
If I could change one thing it would be the price for sure. Thank goodness I had an upgrade, otherwise I would have passed on it.
It's obvious how well-informed you guys are, in general, not just tech. What I'm struck by most, though, is how little, if at all, you interrupt each other. It's so fantastic and really inspiring. I gotta think that the respect you show for each other will consciously, and subconsciously, motivate viewers to follow suit. Awesome job, guys!!
I would be really pumped if you could map the action button to media playback, I would use it all the time
Best way to finish a Friday at work is The WVFRM Podcast!! :)
Enjoy!
Thanks for putting time stamps in the video so I can get back some time in my life.
Slight correction: if you START charging at 50% its about the same as if you START at 10%, but if you start at 10%, its already going to be quite a bit slower by the time it gets to 50%. It basically starts slowing down the charge rate within a couple minutes of starting charging. I once saved 15 minutes on a road trip by leaving a v2 charger at 50% to get to a v3 with 10%. Depending how far the next charger is and how fast the next charger is (and the one after that one lol), I would say most often it's better to leave around 50% -65% if there's an equally fast supercharger within the right range
Re: half press, they could just use the front facing camera with gaze detection to replace the tap to focus functionality for autofocus.
That intro almost killed me💀
The chaos at the end is what I was here for.
I would love an action button where it depends on whether it’s a quick click or a long press or a “hard press” maybe? One does a quick action like launch an app or start a task, turn on the flashlight etc. Then a long press where it can bring up a menu or something. Pipe dream. But just an idea.
Yo can you put the of the podcast in the title somewhere. Would really help with determining if it is a clip or not quickly.
i actually got that last question right and i was so proud of myself hahah i was a total android nerd back then so it was a fond memory
I also always thought it was weird how cruise ships float
i can see them branding a smooth-motion display for the regular phones without ltpo or maybe 90hz
There is a difference between titanium alloys which are used in jet engine engineering and the titanium in an old Ti Book. It's the elements which go in to ensure the titanium doesn't degrade under high heat. Thanks for the work you do.
What I wanna know is when can I upgrade my iPhone 11 Pro. Cos as of a couple years ago. I had a massive heart attack and had to get a pacemaker/defib in my chest and the one of the things the doc asked was what phone I had. They said anything iPhone 12 or newer had something in them that interferes with the device in my chest :( I’m hoping that the new iPhones from now on or newer don’t have that in them so I can upgrade soon. Any advice or info of that?
I like how Marques is wearing a T-shirt depicting his next car. Fantastic easter egg🎉
Marques’s excitement at matte black Apple Watch Ultra is hilarious
could you guys share what software/hardware you use to record the podcast? (audio)
love this podcast!
I love my Pixel Fold. There’s different Keyboard options other than split screen for the inside screen. There’s a floating one and a full screen one too!
On the nerdy subject of space mayonnaise, metals are seldom used in their pure form and are often alloyed to arrive at the best compromise between multiple properties. Titanium alloys are also used for biomedical applications such as implants. I would imagine that's a different alloy compared to Apple's "aerospace grade" titanium. We're still comparing apples (the fruit) with apples here. One alloy is probably a Granny Smith whilst the other one is a Fuji apple or something.
If usbc is going to be marketed as a pro feature my bet would be to reincarnate the rumour that all ports are going to be removed but for the non-pro models only. Would be a mayor incentive to upgrade to a pro model if that is the only model where you get a port.
Even though it’s a small change, titanium body for the iPhone is awesome. I really hate the glossy sides. Would love a matte finish all round. Plus it’s stronger and lighter
Titanium scratches very easily.
@@williamakers1101 hasn’t seemed to scratch at all on my Watch Ultra and I’ve beat this tho g to hell so maybe they use a less scratchable version 😂
I would like to have phone display bonding discussed. Midframe bonded phones are so silent (OnePlus 7T Pro for example), and edge bonded phones like the Pixels are incredibly loud when tapping and I may be the only crazy person that doesn't want to wake my light-sleeping partner with an entire drumbeat every time I check notifications.
I have a suggestion. Please add a top-view camera so we can see what they're writing during the trivia portion. 😄
Your roof video, "Went through the roof"😂...
I love it that David decided that he wanted something in his life to remain unknowable
At what point do you re-do the gas vs electric road trip? Given all the changes that have happened and are coming to charging facilities and charging capability of the cars.
Is there a cost analysis of using superchargers vs plugging in at home with solar roof
The Hummer EV supports 350kw DC fast charging. I think it was the first or second to do so, the taycan had 800v support first but peaked at 270kw for the first year or two.
Good discussion! Thanks for sharing it. ✌️
It's said that letting your gas tank get low is not good for the fuel pump. Something about increase chance of it clogging...
I love the outside screen
aerospace grade for aluminium is 6061 which is a certain mix of materials.
Your question about the fold: love the outer screen hate how much it weighs.
David reminds me of " THE GUY " from the CROODS 😂

The Ioniq 5 charges at 350kW. I've taken it on road trips and it's great!
Charging to 80% usually takes around 10-18 minutes from whatever SOC I arrive at (I like to arrive at around 30%). Since the Ioniq 5 charges so quickly, sometimes I just let it get to 100%, which ends up being a 25-30 minute session, which is how long most Teslas take to get to 80%. That's more than enough time to use the restroom, get some food, and come back.
You really have to stop for food or bathroom every 100 miles or so(whatever miles from 30% to 80%)? That seems really annoying to me. And then you cant just take a quick stretch and a 5 minute bathroom break at a rest stop, but instead have to wait 20 minutes or so every single time? Do they even have chargers at highway rest areas? Seems like a huge pain in the ass to have an electric vehicle. Did that guy really say he rented a garage for $350 a month just for his car to charge? None of this adds up to being anywhere near the ability of a gas car. Not to mention the large premium you pay for the vehicle, the tires wearing out much quicker, and the very real possibility of having to pay 15+k for a new battery one day and the chance of your car having to be totaled because of a small wreck that would otherwise not be a big deal for a gas vehicle.
V4 charger also goes up to 1000 Volts DC (while the V3 goes up to 500V ) for handling the Cybertrucks and the Semis.
I'm surprised you guys didn't show the V4 superchargers deployed in Europe.
I enjoyed every second of that Tesla roof review.
Action button on iphone 15 will be, press once to mute/unmute.

I've never daily driven an Android phone. I'd love to be able to compare using a foldable to my iPhone. Wish there was a way to to actually try switching platforms.
Favorite part of the show was when they kept buzzing David lmao.
David: The Apple Watch Ultra 2 may be coming in, Matt black.
Marques: ... (Breathing intensifies) ...
I love my pixel fold. I've noticed when I game on its side screen there's a resize button. I played Temple run 2 and it did that and worked
my biggest question is will the regular iphone still be usb 2.0 speeds
your video on the solar roof got me interested into solar again. years away from moving on that interest because I will be moving in 3 years but after that I might get solar installed
hey just a dumb question but what headphones r u guys using in the video?
