I can’t stand the feeling of bare toes in closed shoes, my toenails, which are very curved, catch on the shoe material. I wear toe socks, which solve the problem. I don’t mind socks with sneakers, it’s just a fad to wear them without, and not a comfy one. Sneakers always have one or more places that will blister bare feet.
I too, prefer socks for comfort! I found low cut athletic socks, barely noticeable, in white and gray! My white sneakers have a bit of gray, so I am set for walking and exploring. If I am not comfortable, I don’t feel Chic! 😊

I love my old-fashioned slip on white Keds. Even with a bit of a platform, they give a very stream-lined look which as a petite woman I especially appreciate!

I stay with the classics, white sneakers, clean and classic, normal souls. When wearing these, I make sure they are clean, including the edge of the souls. I usually get a new pair every other year and recycle my old sneakers, while doing DIY project and going to the beach. Great idea for a video, Bravo 🎉🇫🇷❤️
There's that jacket again in the first look, and the lovely ruffled blouse in the second. LOVE those! How funny that I just bought new socks today with my spring and summer sneakers in mind. I like the super-low cut socks that don't show. I DO like to show my ankles just a bit. My preferred brands for sneakers are Converse and Adidas. I do like Keds, too. Hey Marie-Anne! I recently viewed a RUclips that showed taking out the insoles of your sneakers, slip no-show socks over them with the ankle hole facing down, place them back into your sneakers. My heels are narrow and smooth, so any socks I’ve tried slip down into my shoes and bunch up under my arches. Ick! I have been buying extra insoles for years, but I’m going to try this. I like Cariuma’s Naioca style. Like a traditional Ked’s sneaker, but I feel the quality is so much more. I also have Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Lift sneakers (quite a nice variety of colors). I haven’t tried high tops yet. Love you on RUclips! 🌺
I got some white sneakers this year. Made in Spain and about $100 Canadian. Very comfortable. I also found some white jeans and got a pair of black Fly London sandals! All set!

I believe the Parisian women you observed on your trip have it 'spot on' in not wearing socks with white sneakers. Sketchers make tiny socks that are invisible with sneakers. They cover your heel, toes and about 1cm of the sides of your feet. You could also try the stocking sockettes usually worn with flat pumps and Mary janes.

One of my favorite things to do in Paris, is having a cafe while looking at the people passing by and getting inspiration from their outfits. That’s the contrary to what I do here in Costa Rica, I look at the people to see what not to wear.😹 My white sneakers are Addidas and they are completely white so they match any outfit. The problem is that they are not leather ones. However 2 months ago I found some gorgeous leather white sneakers in Mexico, with a couple of details in camel brown plus white laces with the tips in brown and they became my favorites! My suggestion is wearing them with invisible socks to keep them “fragrance” free and looking perfectly chic. Also having some antibacterial spray and even placing them in the freezer for a night (in a plastic bag of course), will kill any bacterias causing bad odor. And very important it is not chic nor elegant having dirty sneakers!

That gorgeous check jacket again! Love it. I wear no-show socks (super low cut and close fitting so they stay in place) from Australian brand "Cotton On", 3 pair for NZ $9.90. What I love about them over other brands I've tried is they stay in place, and provide a super comfortable buffer between foot and shoe. Another Australian brand, Simon de Winter has nude shoe liners which are incredibly comfortable, there's even one now with cushioned soles, like walking on air. These can be washed in a laundry bag and they dry quickly. Am thinking there must be US, UK, European equivalents?

I loved all your suggestions.and have all the components already in my closet. I am very fond of slip on sneakers. If I buy sneakers with laces I prefer to tuck them in. I am a fan of Vans, and Sperry,. I like Chuck Taylor/Converse on other people, but not on myself. I wear a size 10 or 10>5 and the Chucks.make me feel like I have clown feet. I am so glad you endorse NO SOCkS. If you have sweaty feet you can find footies that don't show. I look forward to your next video.
My main sneakers are by New Balance, and they are some serious shoes. They're intended to hold the feet in a solid, comfortable grip and to prevent wobbling and falls. Fortunately, they're very comfortable and easy to keep sparkling clean! I'm having fun with my new Chucks, but the New Balance are my go-to shoes when I need to actually be on my feet.
I really don’t understand why people wear sneakers without socks. It just seems rather gross and it definitely wears down The inside of your shoes quite quickly. Now, I am only 29 but I follow along all of your videos and really enjoy your tips! Have I get older, they will definitely be helpful as they already are now because I tend to dress a little bit more mature and classy. When it comes to white sneakers, are used to really enjoy Converse, but in recent days I’ve actually started to feel like they make me look a little clownish and adolescent. I already have quite a young look about me and people think I am 19 or 20 so I definitely don’t want to dress younger if that makes sense. I find that I take myself more seriously and others take me more seriously when I am dressed in a classy style. I’m currently shopping around looking for some stylish sneakers that will be versatile, comfortable, long lasting and appropriate for my preferences.
I love Superga sneakers, they are so comfortable and cute. Glad they’re sold in the States. Another cute and comfy brand, Seavees. After lots of walking, your feet will thank you.
I know Birkenstock does not generally make the style list, BUT they have some very smart-looking leather sneakers for $150. I have very wide, flat, difficult feet and if I don't wear wide and supportive shoes I end up with debilitating arch pain. And since I'm over 50 I've got to keep moving! So for me, along with supportive orthotics, the Birkies are the best! I also prefer a tidy little bow on my sneakers :)

OMG - probably I am an “enfant terrible” . I feel cold without my ankles covered and therefore I nearly always wear socks. When the weather is warm enough, I prefer sandals or open shoes. I really like my Superga sneakers! I have them in white AND navy! I wear them with really low cut socks for extra comfort. No one except for me knows that I am wearing them!

I love my Birkenstock Bend low sneakers. I have had multiple foot/ankle surgeries and I can’t wear most shoes because of it. The Bend lows come in black, white & silver leather, along with brown, gray, pink & navy blue canvas. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them that they are Birkenstocks! I also have to wear some kind of sock with my shoes. Nursing habit I guess!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I have tried those shoes & they all caused me MAJOR problems. I know your feelings about them, but for some of us it’s our only options for comfortable walking. Short of having my foot/ankle amputated, my orthopedist can only do so much. I would rather pay the $150/pair for well made shoes than buy MULTIPLE pairs of shoes that won’t work for me.
Andrea, I love your comments! I have wide, flat feet and need room in my sneakers for a good arch support insert, to keep plantar fasciitis under control. There would be quite a few of us with all sorts of foot problems and most sneakers don't cater to them! I've been happily wearing Good News brand, but I will look into the Birks as well. Oh, and I love the feeling of socks so I'll always wear them with sneakers 😊 I still enjoyed the video! ❤️

But my 14-year old daughter loves them. She wears it with dresses, jeans, shorts... My job is to keep them clean:) The summer in Houston is already brutal (in 90F's + already). Do you have a plan to make a video for stylish, comfortable summer sandals that will be chic to wear with dresses, skirts and short? I love white Keds. I usually sprinkle some baby powder in them before I put them on. They are always comfortable. The only time I use socks in sneakers u Is when I wear my sneakers designed for sport which I wear playing pickleball.

I wear my Remonte white leather sneakers with a Breton top and cropped jeans or chinos . Or with a midi skirt / dress and a denim jacket . This brand of sneaker is so incredibly comfortable but I still wear a little “ invisible “ sock . You cannot see it above the top of the sneaker at all

Some sneaker trivia from California, according to my millennial daughter who grew up in San Francisco (Northern California): NorCal girls wear Vans while LA/SoCal girls wear Converse. I had no idea and started me wondering if there are other sneaker brand preferences based on geography?
Wonderful ideas! I don’t know if it’s me but I find Converse very uncomfortable. It looks like you have on Superga’s. They are my choice for now. I’ve been trying to get my up hands on a leather pair. Also there are no show socks that work well. I have some from Van’s that are great. Lastly, a slight platform really helps with comfort as well as height.
No laces, I prefer slip-ons for everyday, but need at least one laced pair for exercise -vigorous - walking. I love the new platform sneakers, they give me an extra inch of height, super-comfortably. Dad sneakers, 80s running shoes and embellished sneakers are not for me, nor are the Golden Goose style with the shortened toe, my feet are undersized already. Not everyone wants smaller feet. I still feel a bit frumpy in long dresses with sneakers, I’m only 5’4”, maybe the platforms will help. The most important thing about white sneakers is to keep them clean.

I use dry erase sponges to keep my tennies white and clean,especially the toes and sides. The sponges remove the city dirt and grime with ease.

I loved all your suggestions.and have all the components already in my closet. I am very fond of slip on sneakers. If I buy sneakers with laces I prefer to tuck them in. I am a fan of Vans, and Sperry,. I like Chuck Taylor/Converse on other people, but not on myself. I wear a size 10 or 10>5 and the Chucks.make me feel like I have clown feet. I am so glad you endorse NO SOCkS. If you have sweaty feet you can find footies that don't show. I look forward to your next video.
My main sneakers are by New Balance, and they are some serious shoes. They're intended to hold the feet in a solid, comfortable grip and to prevent wobbling and falls. Fortunately, they're very comfortable and easy to keep sparkling clean! I'm having fun with my new Chucks, but the New Balance are my go-to shoes when I need to actually be on my feet.

I really don’t understand why people wear sneakers without socks. It just seems rather gross and it definitely wears down The inside of your shoes quite quickly. Now, I am only 29 but I follow along all of your videos and really enjoy your tips! Have I get older, they will definitely be helpful as they already are now because I tend to dress a little bit more mature and classy. When it comes to white sneakers, are used to really enjoy Converse, but in recent days I’ve actually started to feel like they make me look a little clownish and adolescent. I already have quite a young look about me and people think I am 19 or 20 so I definitely don’t want to dress younger if that makes sense. I find that I take myself more seriously and others take me more seriously when I am dressed in a classy style. I’m currently shopping around looking for some stylish sneakers that will be versatile, comfortable, long lasting and appropriate for my preferences.
I love Superga sneakers, they are so comfortable and cute. Glad they’re sold in the States. Another cute and comfy brand, Seavees. After lots of walking, your feet will thank you.

I know Birkenstock does not generally make the style list, BUT they have some very smart-looking leather sneakers for $150. I have very wide, flat, difficult feet and if I don't wear wide and supportive shoes I end up with debilitating arch pain. And since I'm over 50 I've got to keep moving! So for me, along with supportive orthotics, the Birkies are the best! I also prefer a tidy little bow on my sneakers :)

OMG - probably I am an “enfant terrible” . I feel cold without my ankles covered and therefore I nearly always wear socks. When the weather is warm enough, I prefer sandals or open shoes. But I love the video all the same. Trendy is one thing and comfortable another😉

I really like my Superga sneakers! I have them in white AND navy! I wear them with really low cut socks for extra comfort. No one except for me knows that I am wearing them!

I prefer socks but have gone without. I have Puma, Triton and Sckeechers. But will be on lookout for Converse with platform since I am 5ft. I often do the Jean, t-shirt s and blazer as business casual look..

I found flat socks at Kohl’s which are similar to dr scholls insoles. You cut them to size and can be washed! Also bought Keds at Kohl’s for $25.00!
Ever since my sorority days, my white sneaker of choice has been K Swiss. They were basically a requirement.
Now, if I can only find a briton with 1 stripe of a contrasting color.

I love my Birkenstock Bend low sneakers. I have had multiple foot/ankle surgeries and I can’t wear most shoes because of it. The Bend lows come in black, white & silver leather, along with brown, gray, pink & navy blue canvas. Most people don’t believe me when I tell them that they are Birkenstocks! I also have to wear some kind of sock with my shoes. Nursing habit I guess!
@@MarieAnneLecoeur I have tried those shoes & they all caused me MAJOR problems. I know your feelings about them, but for some of us it’s our only options for comfortable walking. Short of having my foot/ankle amputated, my orthopedist can only do so much. I would rather pay the $150/pair for well made shoes than buy MULTIPLE pairs of shoes that won’t work for me.
Andrea, I love your comments! I have wide, flat feet and need room in my sneakers for a good arch support insert, to keep plantar fasciitis under control. There would be quite a few of us with all sorts of foot problems and most sneakers don't cater to them! I've been happily wearing Good News brand, but I will look into the Birks as well. Oh, and I love the feeling of socks so I'll always wear them with sneakers 😊

I am busy looking at your older videos that I missed. I love this one. I love sketcher’s for value, comfort and fit. From $40 to $80. I have three pair white sneakers. One lacey no laces sketchers. I also have white sneakers that have laces tucked in and one ties in a bow. Now I know how to wear them. Thank you. I loved seeing Paris with you. BTW: I am 70. Is it ok for gals over 70 to wear sneakers? 😉😁🤗

Marie Anne, it was a fun video to watch with the Paris tour... You make white sneakers so stylish. I don't own them as they are too easy to get dirty and my feet sweat a lot. But my 14-year old daughter loves them. She wears it with dresses, jeans, shorts... My job is to keep them clean:) The summer in Houston is already brutal (in 90F's + already). Do you have a plan to make a video for stylish, comfortable summer sandals that will be chic to wear with dresses, skirts and short? It is so hard to find ones with lower heels that meet both criteria. Happy mother's day!

Some sneaker trivia from California, according to my millennial daughter who grew up in San Francisco (Northern California): NorCal girls wear Vans while LA/SoCal girls wear Converse. I had no idea and started me wondering if there are other sneaker brand preferences based on geography?
Wonderful ideas! I don’t know if it’s me but I find Converse very uncomfortable. It looks like you have on Superga’s. They are my choice for now. I’ve been trying to get my up hands on a leather pair. Also there are no show socks that work well. I have some from Van’s that are great. Lastly, a slight platform really helps with comfort as well as height.

Wondering what you think of white sneakers and dresses.
No laces, I prefer slip-ons for everyday, but need at least one laced pair for exercise -vigorous - walking. I love the new platform sneakers, they give me an extra inch of height, super-comfortably. Dad sneakers, 80s running shoes and embellished sneakers are not for me, nor are the Golden Goose style with the shortened toe, my feet are undersized already. Not everyone wants smaller feet. I still feel a bit frumpy in long dresses with sneakers, I’m only 5’4”, maybe the platforms will help. The most important thing about white sneakers is to keep them clean.
I wear socks that do not show with my classic Keds.
