Well done fellas, the Madigan looks like a real slog in parts, those downhills looked very tough, the shrubs whacking you would add an annoying element too I bet.
Interesting you say you wouldn't do it again, has this changed after getting home and reflecting? I know I feel that way often during a ride, but afterwards I flip and become keen again when the memory of the pain has faded.
Cheers for the shoutout, and looking forward to the next video!
Would I do it again? Hmmmm probably not the same way, i.e. unsupported. There's just too much gear and fuel to take. It would be a great ride with a backup 4wd.
Enjoying this from Denmark with a broken hand and no riding in 3 months. Thank you.
Great Video, great trip! Hard slog, for sure!
great trip. I enjoyed the pointer to the documentary on the madigan expedition too.
Glad you enjoyed it! The footage is great, especially if you can get his book and read it too. "Crossing The Dead Heart" (1946) CT Madigan.
Darn commendable tackling those conditions on overloaded bikes. I imagine it would have been challenging even without the weight👍
Love the vids mate really great to watch.
Nice job Keith
Good stuff, cheers 4 sharing sir.
No worries, thanks for watching!
Really enjoying the trip. Looking forward to part 5.
Good work!
Thanks!
Great riding and commentary. Really enjoying your trip.
Another great informative video Keith, keep it up 👍🏼
That looked tough. Thanks for sharing, really got a good sense of the difficulty. ✊
Glad you enjoyed it! 👍
Excellent effort guys!
Great ep guys! Looks tough but rewarding out there. Cheers for the up-load 😎👍
It really is rewarding.
Hats off to you on that particular trip. Well Done.
Definitely an achievement, definitely glad to have done it. Thanks!
Hey mate enjoy your video as always. Did the Madigan couple of years ago supported on the DRZ good to know the fuel economy unsupported. Had 7200kms in the desert this winter including the Canning very overgrown. Well done.
Maaaaate bloody brilliant video, so inspiring, I so need to get out into my backyard 😆
Thanks Greg! You have the biggest and best backyard of all of us.. 👍
Awesome! If it was easy, everyone would do it. 🎉
Great videos guys. We just crossed starting on the the 4th of September. Yep great fun on a fully loaded bike. You did not miss much seems the full Madigan is not available anymore from camp 16 (the blaze tree) east 😢. There is a road closed sign and it seems it will be closed for the foreseeable future even though we had permission from the Station to proceed. With the Hey river track and the diversion on the crossing it was 850 klm. Which tested my fuel range a bit. Well done tough little track enjoyed every minute of it.
Nice one. What bikes did you do it on? Shame about the eastern half being closed!
@@keithjob a modified 300 rally and an unloaded ktm 500. We had a 4WD with us but I went fully loaded like you did as I was initially going solo.
Hell of a ride! Well done! 🍻
It certainly was! Thanks!
Great resource for anyone contemplating a crossing. Not sure if there's any other unsupported.
Thanks Rob. Yes hopefully others can see what they're in for. All the fuel stats at the end of the vid should be useful too.
Love these videos! Keith, I noticed you seem to have a new Arai in this series. Im currently looking for goggles to wear over my glasses that fit the Arai opening and wont put downward pressure on my nose. What goggles are you using? I enjoy the content and i'm looking forward to whats next!
Scott OTG. They fit well inside the Arai. And the visor can close most of the way too.
@keithjob Thank you so much! Exactly what I was hoping to hear!
Hi Keith
Great trip another one to put on my list.
Are you running a Zumo next to your Rino?
It's my old Montana 650
Can you give me some advice on tenere 700 and exc 500-f?
In my opinion, the T7 looks great, if you're a strong and capable rider. For the rest of us the 500 works well due to less weight 😀
Be a fun ride with no xtra weight on the bike
Yes indeedy, it would be a blast!
