Thank you, having watched many videos, yours 😊 actually answered the questions I had about types of poles, strap options the difference in the walking techniques, and benefit/goal of using pole or nordic stride, depending on health issues.

Many thanks Gilly for taking the time to make such an organized and clear video. I recently suffered a stroke and still have balance issues. Pole walking has been very helpful for me.

Thank you so much! My 82 yr. old Mom says she wants some "walking poles" like she sees people using.
She has bad knee osteoarthritis and although she doesn't have pain she says she thinks the poles would give her more confidence to try tiny walks around the neighborhood.
This is a wonderful video to at least get me asking some of the right questions... thank you!

I live in Georgia,US.The walking paths are never straight.Always has hills and for that reason I chose a trekking pole and I’m going to try to combine the styles.

Excellent explanations! I'm researching to help a friend whose husband is recovering from a stroke and wants to avoid a walker, if possible.

Should the type of terrain influence which style of pole walking is chosen?

Most research on health benefits were actually on the Nordic poling. Most done in German.
