Jimmy, a little advice on the water going to the headers. You're right, reversion is sucking water from the exhaust into the engine. You need to install a simple ball valve from a hardware store, and run cheap heater hose up to the valve by the driver seat. Once you're above 2500rpm, turn the valve on manually
Nonononooooo Marine cams are different from auto cams everyone that’s why he’s sucking water. Exhaust lobe on a marine cam is smaller so they don’t open so much because if it was the same as a car it would suck water.
Just leave the headers dry. Dumping too much water causes reversion like you mentioned. Pretty sure Florida doesn’t require a wet exhaust. Just don’t get near the headers. If you even look at em you’ll get a rose kiss. Heh.
Hey James, you don't need to run water through the headers. The reason they run water through exhaust manifold on marine engines are for cooler engine bay when the engine are in a enclosed compartment and less smoke out the back. Without the water cooling the stock exhaust manifolds it would be hot as hell in a boats engine bay, your headers are air cooled and way up above the boat. If you think the headers are going to be to hot running at high rpm, well the NASCAR run on full throttle for hours and don't need any water cooling the headers.
just gonna start saying im not boat guy. im a car and off road guy. but i was wondering are we sure its just to cool the headers?? i dont see a radiator anywhere on that boat and i feel like its to also cool the motor as a whole. like with the few jet skis and boats ive worked on none had a sweet ass v8 powering them but the water always cooled the engine. but at the same time it kinda cooled the exhaust as well because thats where the now used hot water was dumped after it cycled through to cool the engine. pretty sure all that water is being cycled completely through the engine before being dumped into the headers cooling it all off as a whole. but like i said im a car guy i might be wrong feel free to tell me if i am.

You're describing water jacketed headers, not water injected headers.
He should have a spring loaded check valve in there that shuts off the water flow at idle. And only misting them under load. They never need to be fully opened to work correctly.
Read earls comment….
I think it's time for George themed shirts. Absolutely love his energy.
Every challenge you guys have done so far has resulted in someone finding a gem
George and James work so great together.
I love when James show's us the real James , jackstand is funny but I love seeing the real Side of you Guys
I love videos where they are actually professional and not acting like fucking idiots, does not happen very often and usually you only see that side of James in other peoples videos.
I think the best videos are the ones where they get into the technical stuff. Especially Jackstand!!!
Thank you for making my Wednesday alot better than it started 🇺🇲👌 DO IT FOR DALE!
That boat deserves a halfway decent restoration! Get it painted again in that awesome red, new Motor, new jet, and some other nice things, just make it pretty again, it's such a sick boat, so beautiful with that trailer and everything!
Loving the George and James content
@cleetus, this is giving alot of memories from my 80’s to 90’s with Jackstands boat… my old man use to race and ski behind boats like his…
I get more excited over this boat challenges than I do the car videos lately. It’s hilarious 🤣
Take as much time as needed fellas, we’re here! U need a week, take a week, don’t stress deadlines.
Cleet is never gonna let Parker forget about killing that poor mustang.
its great that Maddy is crazy enough to go with you on these journeys your a lucky man!!!
Can we have a Squirrel Story Hour?
With George as our favorite mulleted-munter, Squirrel telling crazy tales of broken down trucks, less-than-legal parts acquisition and mad days/nights at the strip?
Or Giraffe Science, with cleet doing some tech specs and teaching some tuning.
JackStand Jimmy's mo-power know how, examining parts combinations for different setups.
Just some ideas, ignore at your leisure
Let's Go!
"You get that on these vintage jobs." James kills me.
you guys should totally restore the hull and drop in that blueprint big block that used to be in Toast!
Pretty sure James took it and put it in his drift car
@@BuffaloBilliam nah that's Donnie's old short block that is in James' S14.
@@coltonpeare1917 oh yep. Never mind, other guy
Maddi ripping Garza over not using the Kershaw was gold. Can't wait to see JackStand's boat at full sing and full send on the water.
James " Hey Cleeter, you're not going to believe this, I found a 2019 sprint boat for 17.50$ on marketplace! " omg... Good thing you don't have tires to smoke off on a boat! McFarland Marine is on point. Like when this channel originally started, just guys messing around with cool projects. So a year or 2 from now there will probably be a FF #2 on the water featuring all kinds of water sport shenanigans.
Waterfreedom or freedomworld
@@Garf2O is water world taken?
Them lil jet boats were a great investment to this channel, love seeing y'all rip em down the swamps.
I can't wait to see what Jackstand does with that thing after the challenges.
Calls Heavy D to drudge it off the bottom
Love how we hear James explaining stuff in detail
Obviously these dudes never had a snake fall out of a tree in to their kayak.
Really hope Jackstand keeps that boat. So awesome.
I miss shop videos. Building cars and racing them, fixing them. The whole process.
But.... There are boats... They can do car crap in the winter because Florida stuff...
@@tinncan ehh
Can’t say this enough but George is a great addition to the channel!
Raise hell and praise Dale we going boating
5:14
Jack stand channelling his inner Ricky Berwick.......😆
😋
"Doesn't have enough lift to open, you're in the same boat but will more cylinders" why did I laugh so hard at this.
Maybe because it literally is in the same boat? Hehe
Lmfao. James is a damn trip!! Smart ass comments without even meaning to. 😂🤣😂
Lol too many dad joke memes for you, bud
@@ryanemigh1942 nope. Never!!!!
I'm really enjoying this series!!! Thanks guys!!!!
8:20 You should be at 3k to break-in that cam because of the flat lifters. Also, I didn’t see a high zinc oil go in the ole girl. Come on man.
Yaaaa I noticed that too
I just said the same thing. After it was all put back together he said I might do an oil change. That oil with all that water in it will wipe out that cam and lifters in minutes. Especially with the quality of crap components we have these days.
He put that cam in dry lol
Yup commented as well. They used to roller cams.
Idk what it is about the jet boat or any boat videos my boy puts up is pure gold I truly enjoy it….. bro you and Blake in havasu absolutely shredding it in the jet boats ohhh yeah papa
Just turn the water off. Those headers are already beat, so no need to worry about getting them hot and ruining the pretty chrome that's not on them.
Man, Jackstand's boat is great. I love it. I mean, I wouldn't want to work on it, but it's definitely cool.
Hope they did proper break-in or they're going to see this happen again. This boat is so badass for how cheap it was lol
Yep i'm worried about that new cam myself after watching that
@@threefiftyone4726 just commented myself. These guys are used to roller cams
You guys make my day. The positivity and energy you guys have inspire me. Thank you guys!
Jackstand: “Oh yeah, the jet should come off reeeeal easy”
*takes out mallet*
Mullet the mallet
Reminds me of the over the transom chrome Bassett headers I had on my 455 Olds jet boat.
That old turd went 80 via gps with a warmed over 9.5:1 compression short block and box stock edelbrock aluminum heads, single plane and barry grand modded 850 annular booster carb. (Same engine went on hot rod power tour and went 11.80 in my 1970 442).
Baffles in the header collectors? Took em out. All the fisherman under the bridge on belleville lake just shook their heads as I idled under the bridge in no wake zone...sounded Real Good!
Who else could see James putting his own money into this boat inorder to win? Lol
If he could, he'd spend his last penny to win :)
I’m surprised it doesn’t have nitrous already!!!
I highly believe he is doing that lol
I really enjoy these background videos of all the fellas working on the vehicles and toys and just having a good laugh! 🤙
"It's not here for a long time
It's here for a good time"
Needs to be a jacketstand shirt!
i cant believe how excited i get when i see a boat upload from Cleetus xD i love all his content, but these boat episodes are my favorites
Plot twist: there wasn’t actually anything in the jet and james just sandbagging making cleet think he’s gonna win
Double plot twist. He put the rock there.
I wouldn't be surprised. Lol
I'm not a boat guy at all, but I still like watching your boating vids. You still need a Navy PBR boat!!!!
Let Cleetus do some work on that horror show trailer. Not cool driving around putting the public in danger for a silly contest.
Womp womp
Duh duh daaaahh. I can’t wait to see the conclusion. I hope and pray that Everyone is well and healthy. Stay Blessed Y’all.
