Awesome video. I have two questions. Are there plans to offer the FL for earlier models? Are you able to adjust the rear FRs in an 04 sedan without taking out the back seat?
We will start working on some earlier models, but nothing for the GD's just yet. Due to the location of the adjuster, you would need to pull the seat to change the damping.
Copied from your comment on another video: "bounce" is a term often used to describe different motions, and at both ends of the adjustment range you are likely reaching outside the optimum adjustment range. If the car seems to oscillate up and down multiple times after a bump like the way water ripples, this is a sign of the damping being set too soft. If the suspension is not absorbing the bumps and causes the car to move more, that is usually too stiff. We highly recommend starting towards the middle and making small adjustments of 3-5 clicks to find the spot that you prefer.
@@anthonywrx449 Also keep in mind that some road conditions are going to give similar results no matter what settings you have. If you'd like to discuss more specific details about your set up, install, or have other questions, please email us a sales@factionfab.com and we'll be able to help you further.
@@factionfab5834 ok thanks for the feed back I will go home today and play with damping if I still have issues I will definitely be in touch.. thanks again
@@factionfab5834 just wanted to get back with you guys on my set up with the fl spec coilovers... car is aligned and now the fl spec coilovers are doing great.. mine are set on 26 from soft riding good no more issues.... 👍 thanks for the support
The FR-Specs are designed to be track focused, so by design it is going to ride more harsh than most suspension setups, especially on rough roads. Some tips are to make sure you have the proper pre-load set, then playing more with the damping adjustment. Softer damping will make sudden bumps in the road more comfortable, while stiffer damping will make the bigger, floating bumps more controllable.
Will the "WRX" Coilovers fit my base model that I'm building? I don't see why not but supporting websites to by factionfab have said they won't fit which is confusing. Help please!!
We actually spec out the coilovers specific for the WRX and STI models, which takes vehicle weight, support suspension, and driving dynamics into account. This doesn't necessarily mean that it won't bolt up to a base Impreza, it likely will, we just focus on the performance models as they are the most likely to add coilovers to their car. However, if you want to contact us via social media we'd be happy to talk details about model year, etc. and help you figure out if coilovers will work for your application!
I'm checking out your brake pads. How would you say they compare to StopTech Sports? And if you guys are looking for marketing help, check out elkhq.com and tell them James sent you. You guys have some great stuff and more people need to know about them.

Do the Faction fab FL fit the 2014 wrx hatch?
Yes, we do have our V2 FL-Specs for the 2014 WRX Hatch, however we are currently out of stock for this model. The part number is FFA1.10275.3.
Yes I installed the fl spec coilovers and seems to bounce alot no matter if all the way soft or stiff same bounce???? Why are they not stiffening??

@@factionfab5834 yeah started 16 clicks from stiff bounces.. so went softer same feeling?? So then went all the way stiff seems no different??

We haven't done any direct comparison between other brands, but they would fit in the same category.
