    This is one of my fave dishes my mama used to cook for us, but she left all the bitterness-goodness so I skipped the soaking and cheese cloth step... waaaaayyyy better, I tell ya! ☺️

    Sir chef salamat ng madami sa mga dishes mo na ipinapakita dito sa youtube malaking tulong lalo na malayo ako sa asawa ko atleast natututo ako magluto ng masarap. Isang concern lang po, next time mag tsinelas po kayo malamig ang sahig baka mapasma kayo. Haha! Godbless!

    love it! my mom's crazy bout it... ampalaya has lots of health benefit like reducing BP, blood sugar, helps good skin texture and others. I think eating ampalaya a bit raw without removing its bitterness would be great! thanks for sharing your recipe.

    hi PP! im a big fan of yours. i learned my first cooking in my job in a hotel here in makati philippines. but mostly they are italians, french cuisine... etc... but i never learned the filipino recipes until i found your page here. thank you very much! but there is one advise for you. NEVER toss if you are saute-ing esp if there are lots of cooking oil. there are recipes should be cooked by tossing and there are those shouldnt. anyway i hope i helped you a little. i know you are not a pro cook.

    my first ginisang ampalaya with egg is grade D :) hahaha. T'was sobrang mapait. urg! no one ate it, even me. Then after watching this. I tried it again. wow! success! :) grade B? i think. Thank you panlasang pinoy! more power.

    di na kailangan hugasan ng asin at tubig, gawin ay pagka gisa ng bawang sibuyas, at kamatis pag malambot na mga ito dun na ilagay ang ampalaya,takpan at hayaan wag haluin hanggang maluto ang ampalaya, walang kapait pait ito

    Kung ayaw nyong mawala ang nutrients pag piniga nyo eh di kainin nyo ng di pinipiga.. tignan ko lang kung makain nyo yan sa pait. Tinuturuan na nga kayo dami pang angal.

    Kunting kaalaman lng kung ayaw nyung mmwla ang sustansya after nyu pigain ehh yung sabaaw ng ampalaya gawin nyung kape para di kayu sayangan..

      ginagawa nming juice ang ampalaya, hinahaluan namin ng green apple, celery, at malungay leaves ilalagay sa fruit juicer machine, pag di ka sanay sa mapait d mo talaga kaya inumin. wala nman kasing gamot sa katawan na masarap.

    I dont bother to to take the bitterness of ampalaya, because i like it the way it is. Although my mother used to do what you did but she used her hands sa pag piga.

    There's a lot reason i like Bitter Melon also known as Ampalaya. Bitter Melon is good for your Blood and Heart. IT DOES YOUR BLOODY GOOD. HEHEHE

    Your recipe is very good, but I used Egg Beaters instead of real eggs. You are a good cook, but you really do not need the background music. I am sure your audience want to hear every little tips you give them. Thank you.

      It is very similar to Champuru. I always get it at Hotto Motto when I was stationed in Okinawa because it reminds me of ampalaya. They are both delicious, but require an acquired taste.

    masarap ang ginisang ampalaya of lagyan ng malasang sangkap like bagoong alamang kahit kunti lng o d kaya hipon na fresh na binalatan.. tapos hindi pinipigaan ang ampalaya para makuha ang pait.. kng gusto mo na hindi mapait ang ampalaya mo iwasan bumili ng native na amapalaya.. or mga amapalayang makulubot kasi mapait un.. isa pa sa nagpapait ng amapalya is kng ma overcook mo sya.. .. pumapait ang amapalaya once na ma overcook mo sya..

    Mas maganda kung ang ang ampalya di pinipiga kc nawawala ang kulay at ang pagiging juicy nito..para cguro hindi cxa,masyadong mapait bumili ng sariwq na ampalaya..at sa,pagluluto lagyan,ng maraming kamatis..

    hindi ba kapag piniga nating ang amapalaya, basically binabawasan natin ang nutrients nito?
    Aren't we reducing the nutrients of the bittermelon when we squeeze it out???? if this is the case i'd rather not squeeze it out, if the nutrients will just be reduced due to this process.
