love it! my mom's crazy bout it... ampalaya has lots of health benefit like reducing BP, blood sugar, helps good skin texture and others. I think eating ampalaya a bit raw without removing its bitterness would be great! thanks for sharing your recipe.
hi PP! im a big fan of yours. i learned my first cooking in my job in a hotel here in makati philippines. but mostly they are italians, french cuisine... etc... but i never learned the filipino recipes until i found your page here. thank you very much! but there is one advise for you. NEVER toss if you are saute-ing esp if there are lots of cooking oil. there are recipes should be cooked by tossing and there are those shouldnt. anyway i hope i helped you a little. i know you are not a pro cook.
my first ginisang ampalaya with egg is grade D :) hahaha. T'was sobrang mapait. urg! no one ate it, even me. Then after watching this. I tried it again. wow! success! :) grade B? i think. Thank you panlasang pinoy! more power.

Kung ayaw nyong mawala ang nutrients pag piniga nyo eh di kainin nyo ng di pinipiga.. tignan ko lang kung makain nyo yan sa pait. Tinuturuan na nga kayo dami pang angal.

It is very similar to Champuru. I always get it at Hotto Motto when I was stationed in Okinawa because it reminds me of ampalaya. They are both delicious, but require an acquired taste.

Mas maganda kung ang ang ampalya di pinipiga kc nawawala ang kulay at ang pagiging juicy nito..para cguro hindi cxa,masyadong mapait bumili ng sariwq na ampalaya..at sa,pagluluto lagyan,ng maraming kamatis..
hindi ba kapag piniga nating ang amapalaya, basically binabawasan natin ang nutrients nito? Aren't we reducing the nutrients of the bittermelon when we squeeze it out???? if this is the case i'd rather not squeeze it out, if the nutrients will just be reduced due to this process.
