Lewis started lying about his age when he did "The Munsters". He was embarrassed That he was the same age as Evonne DeCarlo yet he was playing her father. He added 10 years or so on to his age from then on.

    Grampa Munster,
Nice man, I met him, This is way before Your time, I'm talking Wow!!! 1998, lol,
Ya, Grampa Al Lewis was at some kind of Rally going on, I think it was at 14 st, Union Square, I was Soooo excited, emediatly I asked him for His Autograph, for which he Replied, Pen-cile,
Son,...... Give Me a Pen or Pen-cile, .
Ya,... I Never thought I'd ever get to meet him. And he was a pretty big man, he must've stood at least...... about 6-2,3, And he was wearing a pair of Short dark green pants,(I quess it had something to do with him being a Green Party member in politics.
    Very interesting person.
I could tell, not book wise to smart, But, Nevertheless,
Very Intelligent, An Extremely Intelligent person.
And to this day, I can't seem to find were in put his Autograph.
    We Love You Grampa,
    Rest in Peace
