Hey! I am starting a Prefab home business, I got a team together and will be working on our first prototype, my goal is to keep prices way below the 100k mark and comply with codes as a real home, meaning customers will be able to get a mortgage. Company is based in Texas but looking to become nationwide. I really love your videos, I hope to one day be on your channel!
Good luck. My main issue with most of the prices is that it doesn't include land, shipping, or install. After those factors, most are better off getting a traditional stick built. Don't get me started on trailer park lot fees.
@@Quinu12 You are right! There is a lot of hidden costs when buying a prefab home, I'll be as transparent as possible with what we offer, We provide the blueprints, foundation, and home installation. Few things you need to keep in mind that will certainly add to the cost Septic tank, electrical connection, land clearing, driveway and road access and unfortunately transportation if you are too far away. We will try our best to facilitate as many things as we can and offer them in one price.
Kerry, I have only a passing interest in Pre-fab homes, but I am so glad I found your channel. You are so funny and informative, I'd honestly, happily watch you make videos about anything. Thanks for the videos! -a new subscriber
Thanks, Kerry. Yup, those of us who are single and just needing a nice basic home appreciate you. Anything around 300-400 sq ft with an initial price tag under $60k US would be awesome. Happy 2024 from Vancouver 🇨🇦!
I don't like waiting for a table when I go to a restaurant, waiting to put an order in for a house, probably not going to happen. You should do a special video on the ones that are in production and can be ordered in different areas. If you're waiting 2 years just to order one you might as well just build a house the normal way. Thanks for all the info, the videos are always entertaining ! 👍
Thanks Kerry! I've been watching them too.... the original pricing went up by 10K due to inflation, but hopefully that will drop as popularity expands...
It's a tough business. Will be interesting to see who is left standing in the next several years. As much as I like many of the overseas offerings , I don't see how they can be (low cost) competitive after shipping.
Thanks, Kerry, for these follow-up segments on the more afforable offerings you had previewed these past 2-3 years. Great news that the Casita has approval in AZ -- worth the wait when the foundational steps are done right!
I lived in a prefab , nice single family home for 35 yrs. We never had any problems with our home. Raised our kids, v& partially raised out grandkids in it. After my husband passed, Some people broke into it, stole me blind, trashed it terribly. I am glad to hear someone is not trying to price them too rich for people to buy. Your set up, is your advertisement. People will advertise for the service from you. Good luck, & may God bless . Oh, I did not have any insurance. I could not afford it as a disabled, widow. So I would like to see pictures, & prices asap. Thanks.
Rooting for Live BFF. My hope is that with a growing bank account, they add cabinet carpenters to their trades employees. That kitchen counter line up is nothing but slammed together. The clothes washer juts out to imprint upon your big toe and is a terrible design look. I love the channel and the multi-continent content. Keep it coming!
Any video with Boxabl news is awesome in my book. 😍 Fantastic update Kerry. I’m visiting my mom in Miami so I’m late with my comment and it’s shorter than usual. 😎
Unless you're buying a prefab for under 50k, it's a rip off. There's far too much automation & lower labor costs not to merit that. It's cheaper to build an earth ship that gives you FAR MORE square footage and customization, produces your food, recycles water 4 times & keeps a constant temperature all year long.
I love the DIY contractor options from my chez space… I’m actually thinking about combining two of those to create a some more larger tiny house that would get you a dried in tiny house for around 30 grand… That’s the affordable option I’ve been looking for. Great video. Great info.
love all your jokes & always helpful home info! Noticed your new setup/room & also like the lighting here slightly more than the next few videos, though still super different than the cabin room lighting. Not sure if there should be more or less or just different lighting... but you always look great.
Those were all what you have said from the beginning that people actually want. An affordable pre-fab, plus the windows aren’t ridiculously overdone. I wouldn’t want a pre-fab with so damn many windows you would never have privacy. Most of what we see generally is too expensive to make sense with window grandioso ridiculoso. These were all really good and affordable.
I live in a tiny home or park home in North Florida. I have always wondered if there was a way to have a severe weather shelter space somehow inserted underneath the home? That may sound ridiculous, but with a clay or concrete slab it may be possible. I've even seen entry steps that are actually severe weather shelter spaces inside of them. Just wondering if any thoughts being given to severe weather and these designs?
yes ..lots of folks in my area in PNW have designed their own for that ...small and large homes. Go for it...There is lots of material /literature on that.
I really like the partially completed home. I am comfortable with finish work and can do some basic plumbing and electric. My church’s parish house is a new modular, and it is semi similar in that a lot wasn’t completed at the factory so that money can be saved. The pastor used to be in construction, so between him and volunteers they have saved a lot of money.
How much does it cost to get on the wait list? I am in Southern CA. I am thinking by the time I able to get one, I will have saved enough… thank you Kerry ❤ya

Don’t get caught with your inventory to high and sales non existent because buyers see stick built houses at record low prices!😂😂
As you know, some states allow ADUs behind principal houses. I think that's the case where I live in Virginia.(It's difficult to get information from the housing department). Why can't boxable deliver units for use as ADU's. I know there are regulations, setbacks and safety is a major concern. These issues would have to be examined carefully. But everyone is skeptical about the amount of time it's taking for them to deliver houses. Yet they "seem" like they're a real company expanding into new factories. I haven't seen any of their factories or been in one of their foldable homes. The sentiment seems to be that if they don't start delivering homes, people are going to lose faith and abandon the concept along with the company. I'd love nothing more than to put one in my backyard... but...
