Hey, Steve! How much pressure have u got on your turbo? Originally, this engine has 91hp and 19Nm so it's very strange having only 100hp and 200ft. (27 Nm) using turbo and intercooler... I'm expecting to reach 130hp and +30 Nm using 0,6bar on the turbo.

Hey mate, thinking about doing the same to mine, what intercooler did you use? and did you get the boost compensator from the 2lte fuel pump or just wind the stock one up abit?
the intercooler was purchased from ebay, the fuel pump is all manual from a 2lt not 2lte so fueling was manually, the lds pin was rotated to its max and the main screw turned in
no problems at all, i actully had it on the rolling road (how accurate i dunno) at japfest car show at the weekend, and its max 200 ft-lbs torque and 100hp so its not that much power really,
diesel or petrol? can someone also explain if there is a difference in sound between a diesel hilux and a petrol hilux, would it be pitch and tone of the sound? or something more specific.
I've found a few factory diesels in the states that have gone for around 8 grand. I've also found a couple diesel hiluxes online from the mid 90's for around 20,000 usd that were imported from japan. One took nearly a month to sell. I couldnt believe it took so long to sell and it was in really good shape too!

The engine would be around 71kw and 286nm if its a 2.8L with aftermarket turbo

Did you try driving this with the 35's on the standard diffs before the aftermarket ones were put in?
Yes. I wanted improved acceration over top end speed.

the turbo on a diesel makes them quieter, but non turbo petrol/diesel, i would guess would be just as loud

these era hilux's are like 8000 in Aus in pretty good condition as well

cacu 44 porque an abusaso del motorsito..puede ser anillos. O por lique en el boost del system del turbo.
