That's cool man. You got any vids of the new one. I'm in the USA and the way we build things is alot different. I like seeing the way other people do things. I'm glad to see people building hilux/pickups in other countries. I've seen alot of link setups over here and they can flex almost 90. I'm still running tg 5" springs but will be linking it in a year or so. Keep up the Wheelin bro.
Ah wish mine was a solid front axle...Damn IFS. Costs about $7k - $8k here for a SAS here. For that price it's not worth it because could buy one with factory built in Solid Beam! But great truck, nice job. Love the work done on the street. Love to work on my truck up the driveway. Thanks for posting.
@MUSOSFULLY I have a trick for you. If you have a standard cab, short bed you can use a 90-95 4runner chassis. Just put your cab and bed on the 4runner frame. It's already 4-linked with coils. Unless, you have the money to go 96-2000 chassis. Those are also IFS with coil-overs in front, instead of torsion bars. @4x4steve I was looking into a set of those Kuhmo tires. They work pretty good for you so far? Mine's IFS with link/coil rear, and X-tra cab short bed rather than double cab.
wow...you did a lot of things by yourself..i am also planning to convert my Mahindra jeep( Thar) rear suspension from leaf to coil...most probably i will go for 4 link ..if you have any suggestion pls dont hesitate
i hope you don't mind me asking but i was thinking of doing similar modifications to a hilux that is similar to this, and i was wondering how much these adjustments set you back by?
hi i have a l200 that i fitted wheel spacers too and then discovered a wheel wobble, have checked for play and cant find anything worn.just wondered if you had found out what had caused yours after mate??
great video's thanks for sharing, i would love to know if you still have this and are still wheeling with it, if so post some more video i really enjoyed them
i did sell this some time ago but its still going strong, altho its on its 4th gearbox, but then it had good torque, Possible abuse to, lol. sorry i dont have any extra vids
@TheDeathCrawler in all honesty i broke this suspension system, and went for a suspension design suggested by my welder mate, its a significant improvement on this design,
@TheDeathCrawler i got loads of modification pics on photobucket, but no good vids, under 4x4steve probly redo the whole builf video christmas 2011 lol and yes you guys do do it different over there, very heavy duty,
i wish i could do an update, its changes a little more since this video, with 35 kuhmo71 with a 32 offset and spacers, done cross over steering and rears up front since the vid, and redone the rear, well my welder mate has,
i never thought anyone could make the mighty versatile d/c hilux BUT YOU HAVE AN ULTIMATE HILUX! WELL DONE

the spacers exaggerate any imbalance, the steering stabilizer cured the problem

+YKS Infratech i would use land cruiser front radius arms or similar if i ever did it again to make it more stable on road,
i dont know why you would switch to a coil suspension? i personally think leaf springs are easier to work with but beautiful truck
