  • Full title reads: "Berlin. Amidst a Nation's Rejoicings. President Von Hindenburg celebrates his 85th Birthday, after attending service in Garrison Church, reviews 'Company of Honour' carrying standards of his 'own' regiments."
    Berlin, Germany.
President of the Republic, Von Hindenburg, walks out of a church. A small girl presents him with a bunch of flowers.
Hindenburg walks past flag bearing troops and a military band. A crowd cheer him on.
Hindenburg inspects the band as they play the German national anthem.
He stops to talk to some of the troops holding flags from regiments of the army. The flags in the foreground often obscure the view.
    Troops goosestep about a little.
Von Hindenburg take the salute as goosestepping troops with field kits march past him.

@@greasylimpet3323 I think you'll find that way an entirely different army. They had been battered and reduced by WWI, and only became formidable again by turning their entire industry into a military complex. They also gained lots of ground very early on by taking advantage of allied nations hesitancy to formally declare war, and thus were able to take very commanding positions that were easy to defend. Their downfall was in short part due to stagnation, which was inevitable for a country in total war mode. They should have sued for a new status quo if they wanted to win, but arrogance and egotism at the top prevented that from happening.

I'm not sure how much was spent on the final solution, but you'd think it would have been better used to win the war. It all gets complicated when you include Operation Barbarossa, which was a waste of a lot of resources, and ensured that the USSR wouldn't stand by and leave Germany alone.

@@greasylimpet3323 Light can travel through time, but not matter. A small percentage of all energy emissions travel through time, even from a light bulb. It occurs when photon's in the near-infrared wavelength collide with atmospheric molecules in a way that results in inelastic scattering: whereby, the subject photon is hyper-accelerated into the virtual state (i.e. a transitionary state). The virtual particle is then floated to another point in time based on a natural gravity vector (like that from the earth or sun). The increased energy from the accelerated particle is removed when it collides with matter at the new point in time, releasing it's energy. It then rebounds (or "bounces back") to it's original temporal location (making it visible to certain forms of detection, including special cameras and optical sensors).
It's theorized that this mechanism of energy redistribution allows for the maintenance of thermodynamic equilibrium and quantum-relative entropy necessary to sustain molecular cohesion and stellar nucleosynthesis. Time travel is possible with bosons because, under certain conditions, they have no mass, which allows them to interact with other versions of themselves without catastrophe. A fermionic particle inversion would result in an anti-matter annihilation reaction.

Yes, but a very fragile democracy, parts of which were falling to communism like for instance the city of Munchen (shortlived 'Bavarian Soviet Republic'). The anti-communist para military 'Freikorps' (made up mostly of WW1 veterans) managed to stem that red tide in Germany. I can totally sympathize with their plight at that time to oppose communism. And no, I do not in any way condone what the succesors of the Freikorps ended up doing during the latter part of the 30's and onward. It's just that a lot of people do not know of the internal struggle at that time.

I have always said that if Hitler had not done all the things that caused WWII, it would be an amazing place. i.e. they rebuilt their economy, workforce, military within 5-10 years. But Hindenberg gace Hitler the Chancellor position and then died so Hitler had full control.
Or even before with Chancellor Bismarck uniting the Prussian districts into the German Reich in 1876.
It's kind of like other places that have amazing people and other things, but the leaders are messed up. Which I'm sure people say about the US too.
