My eye was immediately drawn to the crotch region of the jumpsuit 😢. It’s awesome, but it looks like that situation there is not going to stop doing that whatever it’s doing. The black dress is def the right choice!
It feels OUTRAGEOUS to me that so many companies expect us to pay hundreds of £/$/€ for .. polyester?? I said no to soo many dresses because they were polyester and for summer weddings, probably better not to melt, plus also their washability and all that jazz 😅 That being said, the black dress was gorgeous, the 2nd to last blue one also stunning colour and the last dress had a great décolletage and slit, too bad it did indeed feel big 🫶🏻🫶🏻
@@JamiePaigeit was gorg but the crotch rise was def a bit short for your height!! Maybe size up and then take it to a tailor if the top needs to change or the waist needs to be taken in?? Because the design was STUNNING!!
Crotch thing unfortunately is a bad thing!! Too bad though cuz jumpsuit is beautiful!! The blue dress definitely wins!! Great job describing all the dresses!! You looked beautiful in all except that green one!! Reminded me of a carwash😅
The jumpsuit is a huge NO from me... The navy blue dress is my favorite and was the most flattering! 💙 Thank you for your indepth review! You're amazing Jamie!! 😁
You are so right about price being subjective! 700 dollars for someone else’s wedding?!?! I could NEVER 😂😂 I paid 100 for my own dress - and I was the bride!! But I’m just a cheap queen 💁🏼♀️👑
I loved this try-on video! I would like more of these for sure. And I liked that it was themed for wedding guest. There could be other themes you do throughout the year: vacation, winter holiday parties, NYE, etc.! The black dress you kept looked stunning on you! I also liked the periwinkle purple.
I bought 2 long dresses from Lulus that garnered so many compliments . One was a navy lace tiered midi with plunge neckline and the other was a solid emerald one shoulder with mermaid fit and ruffle slit. They were so affordable too!
@@midlifemom5829 one of my wedding dresses was from Lulu’s. It got so many compliments. I ended up buying a more traditional dress because I could see my mom was not impressed with my dress choice so I got a David’s Bridal for the actual ceremony, but I still spent less than $500 total for both dresses, and I bought them with my own money. My favorite was the Lulu’s dress.
That short floral dress (or one similar) would be so amazing with your long curly hair worn down and big and curly. So cute! I love that you tried all of these on!
the dress after the jumpsuit is SOOOOO pretty on you omg, perfectly stunning. unfortunately the crotch on the jumpsuit is very, um… labial. 😭😂 the top half is SO stunning too, though?! i see the conflict 😭😂 i’m 5’9”/10” and have never once found a jumpsuit or romper i can wear without going full frontal thong tho, i understand the struggle 😂😂
Oh, I have several Solace London dresses, including the exact same one in black, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The material is crepe, which gives it that perfect black tie, formal look.
Love the Norma Kamali dress. I own a few dresses from this brand and they just fit so well! Love that you can throw them in the washing machine too (they wash very well). Always recommend this brand to people. ♥
Loved the long navy (but in black) dress. The lace detail on the back was so cute. The jump suit was gorgeous but in black also. I guess I just like black….simple but elegant and in my opinion more versatile.
i’d never pay 700$ for poly dress with such simple design 🥲 like come on brand, you could use viscose or any other natural fabric 😅 love your video though, very soothing and comforting ✨🎀
Love this series! I would love to see this and you paired with another person who has a different body type. It would be a great way to show how the dresses look on different bodies. Reformation would be great as I find it hard to get to Yorkville and Yorkdale doesn’t have a huge selection!
That was a fun dress haul try on with you. I’m glad you picked the black one, when you tried it on I thought the neck line on it looked so beautiful on you. Thank you for your content and have fun in your new dress🥰
I cant with all the polyester. Not only is it extremelyyyyyy hot 🥵 it’s not worth the price. Most of those dresses you wouldn’t get 3 wears out of. I would 100% not recommend any of those dresses. I’d you are looking for dresses try: Daughters of India, the reformation, agua bendita, Sezan, and doen. They have much more beautiful dresses around the same price and you will have them for years. They are tasteful styles you can dress up and dress down and most are sustainable and have Cotten, silk and linen options which we all know are much fresher and durable than polyester
Fast fashion polyester is really bad and does not last. But with any fabric, there's different quality levels. Polyester was created to be wrinkle resistant and it holds pleats, which natural fibers usually cannot. So there is a time and place for it. But if it's wrinkly, creases, and snags easily, then it's low quality for sure and not worth it. Ofc everyone has preferences so if synthetic is not for you then don't buy it! Just wanted to say polyester still has a time and place, provided it's actually good quality and fulfills its intended purpose
@@kim-mr7oh polyester as a durable fabric has a place in upholstery not on dresses. I understand a body con dress needing polyester but I do not understand the price of it being over 100$ when it’s the cheapest material. Those dresses looked less than 100.00
@_evelyn_reyes_ yeah I don't think all these dresses were great either. Especially if it wrinkles when you sit in it. An example of a better use of polyester is aritzia's crepette fabric. It needs to be anti wrinkle and lightweight to be worth the price, but most brands don't care and use the cheap version
I have a black dress code wedding to attend in October and I am definitely going to be getting that black dress! It looks gorgeous on you. I also have a wedding to attend the end of August and the dress code is formal..not sure what i'm going to wear for that but ill figure it out
The jumpsuit definitely draws your eye to THAT region because of how the light hits the pleats.. but I think that's only because you're standing straight on and we're staring right at you🤣If the issue was still there while sitting then I wouldn't keep it :( All the dresses looked amazing on you, btw, and your choice in the end was A++ flattering on you.
I do feel like at the $400-$800 price range you could find something more high end, with better fabrics and quality. I 100% do not feel like those polyester dresses should be $400+. But, I’m not doing a lot of formal dress shopping these days either.
My favourite was the purple one but I worry that if I wore that I would feel self conscious about my stomach area and I hate feeling like I constantly have to suck in lol.
I LOVED the jumpsuit...so much I bought it for a bunch of upcoming weddings. I'm about the same height or taller and sizing up helped the crotch issue lol. I had been eyeing the much cheaper version from Abercrombie but the fit was really off since I am flat chested.
Im gutted about how expensive the purple dress is. It looks amazing on you and wouldve been perfect for a wedding i have coming up😭😭😭 but id say that one if you see yourself getting your moneys worth from it. But the navy is AMAZING on you.
Totally thought you were going to choose the navy Surreal dress! But I have to say I was rooting for the black, it looked 😮💨 on you! It’s a no on the pink for me, I think it’ll just feel awkward no matter what and I am APPALLED at the fabric content and quality of these dresses given the price!
First off I hope you kept that short strapless dress that was gorgeous! Even though it was super short. Looked so good on you! I also don’t think the crotch looked that weird on the jumpsuit! I didn’t even notice it until you pointed it out, keep it!
should i do reformation next? 👀
Yes!!!
And more REVOLVE please!!!
Yes!
Yes! I feel like their prices are silly expensive so I’m curious for material and quality 🧐
Yes please 🙏🏼
Where does Revolve get the nerve to be charging these obscene price tags for polyester blends? Straight up robbery.
Was thinking the same thing….a lot of these were almost if not all 100 polyester 😐👎🏼
THIS should be higher up. Consumers need to stop paying top dollar for bottom bin materials that contribute to the scourge of this planet.
I swear!! They are charging so much money for shein quality dresses
Revolve is a department store
