Your exact feelings on your parents is how I feel. It’s hard to say that your parents are not there for you when they are physically there and you know that they are trying your best but at the same time their best is detrimental to your own mental health. I felt the same way when I got older and realize oh well all of the happy memories that I have with my mom or times when she was single, I don’t remember a single memory where my mom had a partner where I felt like I was ever a priority for her during that time. So when I think about how used to be close to my mom, but I’m not anymore I think about her long-term relationship that she had when I was in high school and realized oh that’s why she just stops spend time with me because she was in a long relationship, it hurts. You’ve been abandon and it’s hard to move on because you have happy memories with your parent but at the same time it does cause you to avoid it. I got a job when I was 15 and I basically started taking care of myself and moved out after I graduated because there was no need for me to stay with her anyway.
My man speaks of me this way. 👁️’m so far from perfect and feel undeserving, but he speaks life into me every day. 👁️ don’t know why he loves me, and that’s why 👁️ love him. 🎵
