Wow is all I can say! At the end of this I am feeling so filled with inspiration, peace, and joy! Knowing that it’s okay to love the person I was when I was at my lowest and learning to bring back that feeling of excitement. Don’t get me started on the feeling judged from the church lol. This is definitely one of the best episodes thus far! I would have not been mad if this was a 2 hour episode. I need a part 2 with Russ! Also, B. I wanted to say that you are a person that I have looked up to since 2019. You have helped me through so many dark times. I was one of the 30,000 that purchased your first book and I will purchase the second, third, and tenth book. I didnt get into this episode this week knowing you guys were going to tap into grief! B. SIMONE, THIS WAS THAT EPISODE! I think as a society we never have really dealt with grief because we are taught to do everything but grieve. It has an effect on us and plays into our actions when we arent ready to handle it. The crazy part is, not understanding our triggers, especially the ones that channel the emotions of grief is not talked about enough! This was a healing conversation on so many levels.

Ohhh this was absolutely amazing!
The deeper we dig the easier it will be to heal. People that are surface and never explore the whys and ask the hard questions never find the answers. Conviction and rebuke is good for our evolution. At some point we have to learn from our mistakes and accept that version of ourselves and strive to be a better person. We didn't always know what we know now.
That last question was poured into his song September 16. One of my faves. I can tell he really does wish he could re-navigate that moment in life! 🙏🏽

You forgive yourself by being thankful for the person you were because without you going through everything you went through and without you moving through different versions of yourself you wouldn’t be the person you are today and you wouldn’t be where you are today so forgiveness comes from gratitude but also in the understanding that everything happens for a reason because everything is so nuanced and when you start to really look at the finer details of life and everyday circumstances you realize that almost nothing is black and white and there is always a gray area and it’s as certain as knowing the sun will set and rise

This was a great episode that allowed B Simone to expand on her interviewing expertise. This wasn’t a guest that communicated like other female guests (agreeable, finishing each others sentences - in the best way of course) but someone who we as supporters had to actively listen to. Active listening is so much more necessary when communicating with someone who is unlike you - no interrupting. I loved this!

Those who were on the fence about B. But the more I learn to about myself and my relationship with God, and how much healing I actually need, the more I am able to give out grace,. I find that I align with her and i actually feel very much like her often! I too have been “muted” and it’s so hard because my voice and personality takes up a lot of space and I was made to feel bad about it! B please keep going. I was one who raised their brow because of rumors but I understand you and love your depth! I am inspired. May everything get better for you and may you get STRONGER
