In this enlightening episode, we delve into the intricate dynamics of generational discipleship and the unique upbringing of a pastor's child. Pastor Jerry offers a heartfelt glimpse into his life, emphasizing the significance of witnessing genuine faith in one's parents and the delicate balance of discipline and grace in a spiritual household. As we explore the lives and emotional challenges faced by pastors, Pastor Jerry underscores the necessity of authenticity and empathy in leadership.
This episode is a treasure trove of wisdom for anyone seeking to deepen their faith and understand the profound influence of spiritual leadership. Tune in for a conversation that promises to enrich your spiritual experience and offer valuable insights into the life of a pastor.

Greatest man who ever walked on earth, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. He had no army, yet rulers feared him. He claimed no territory, yet they called him King. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He defeated all his enemies, yet he never harmend anyone. He committed no crime, yet they crucified him. He was buried in a tomb, yet he lives today . His name is Jesus.

Loved the section about hearing God’s voice through moments of tension or “buzzing”. In the past I thought it was anxiety or being too sensitive (especially in moments where it was a moral based decision). Now, when I feel that tension I know it means to pause - at the very least! Then pray, read the word, and lay at the feet of the Lord. I don’t get it right every time but I’m grateful that I’m passed writing it off.

21:33 Ive read a book that said: seperate the sin (or negative attribute) from the person, because we tend to make the next person's faults/flaws their identity, making it harder to love, and forgive, and be compassionate. People make mistakes, people do sin, but they ARE NOT mistakes or sin, and thats an important thing I think we need to start practicing- separation of faults from identity.

I received so many nuggets. 1. Yes, give the "Attention" back to God, because He deserves the Glory, Honor and Praise. 2. God is not interested in our contributions, give him my ALL. 3. LOVE the Analogy of his phone vibrating with call from his father (the voice of God). That is sooo POWERFUL. Continue to call on me Lord. 4. Feeling the unction, that buzzing like the phone, even though I may not understand it at the time but I just Trust God's nudging. 5. The hunger for God to feed my spirit, like my stomach growling for natural food. 6. I can't get full off of someone else eating. I need to get into His Word MYSELF to eat all that God has for Me. 7. Getting past the "Red Bull Crash" and knowing how to endure suffering to increase our Faith in God. Thank you soooo much Megan and Jerry for your insight and wisdom. Blessings

I don’t typically comment on things I see on social media but I feel compelled to share that this conversation resonated with me IMMENSELY. I feel like the Holy Spirit was in the room facilitating this conversation all the way through because it spoke to me very very clearly. I had to write notes down and all. I lost my zeal for Christ. I got saved on April 12, 2024 and have kept a fervent heart for Christ until just a couple weeks ago and I started expressing my frustration to some friends. I couldn’t understand why that was happening until Pastor Jerry brought up our hunger as believers. I, too, am an analogy person so I thought about what it feels like to have a cold or the flu so bad that you can’t smell, taste or swallow your food. It’s kind of annoying to suffer through that pain. During that time you take all the remedies to get yourself up to par so you can return to your daily activities. And just like that you almost forget how sick and in pain you were. You forget about the process that you went through to get better. I realized as soon as I Pastor Jerry talked about our need to learn about crucifixion and suffering as Christians, I knew the reason why I was frustrated. I had forgotten what God has brought me out of and why getting saved was so monumental to me. Instead I started focusing on His goodness and grace only (which was great) but I forgot all about taking up my cross and laying things at the altar. This episode was SOOOO GOOD! I could write an essay on what I learned lol. Thank you, Jesus, for discipleship. Thank you for this conversation!!

My God My God!!! I had to pause… I’ve never watched In Totality. I’ve never heard of this pastor, but the title is what led my spirit and I watched it when the time was right. When I tell you EVERY question and EVERY answer resonated with me! The stories, the analogies… this was everything I needed and more 🙌🏽 Thank you both for letting God lead you ❤

I don’t recall when or where I first learned of Pastor Flowers. But he’s most definitely the TRUTH. Or a better way of saying it is that he preaches THE TRUTH. That analogy with the Dr’s handling “dead” things and then attempting to facilitate birth while touching a healthy womb, was crazy. I could vividly visualize that.

This podcast was absolutely beautiful! Thank you both so much for the reminders and encouragement to stay in the word. I have so many notes form this podcast that I will continue to use in life and store in my heart. If no on minds me sharing that are points I'd like to share that made me say, "Yesss, amen". Here they are:
    - We must understand God's totality and grace.
    - Submission is NOT demanded, it's modeled.
    - We should NEVER want to be great at delivering the word but POOR at it delivering us!!
    - We should be intentional of whose hands we allow in our hearts.
    - LONGSUFFERING is the CORE of the Gospel.
    - We MUST crucify our flesh daily, along with our passions and desires, meaning "DETOXING from what we use to know is comfort. . . and NOW embracing the comfort of the Holy Spirit!!
    - God Grow My Faith = UNCOMFORTABLNESS
    - We need to make a firm decision whether we are with CHRIST all the way, through and through, or we aren't.
    - Make Jesus Christ your Landlord and NOT JUST a home guest.
    - Remember Proverbs 3:5-6, Jeremiah 29:11, John 15:5, and Luke 6:46
    - CHRIST HAS to let us g through testing and trials that tests our FAITH.

I’m so happy to hear about the growth of his church! I was invited by my nail tech who used to prophecy into my life in 2021 to his bible studies on Thursdays, and I would invite girls from the lounges I worked at. I remember me and one girl specifically were on our way back there for the 2nd time, and she was telling me about an ex that she felt like had a strong hold over her that made her not act like herself. When we showed up for service he began ministering literally on just that and I just started tapping her leg like “I told you, God is speaking to you through Pastor Jerry for a second time”. I know all of it was God led, and assigned and I’m so happy every time I see him and how much God has blessed and expanded his ministry. ❤️🙏🏽

When Jerry mentioned being in the process of finding a new building/bigger space, I felt the Holy Spirit saying, “New Land.” God may be calling you to an open land in Houston to build a new & bigger building from the ground up! I pray you take this back to the Lord for confirmation. Whatever the outcome will be, I know God is going to make it great! 💙✨🙏🏽

Something the Holy Spirit showed me in my studies; Suffering has a lesson on obedience only it can teach. HEBEREWS 5:8 states our Savior himself learned obedience through the things he suffered. He modeled this for us to do as well. So good because the Spirit is speaking the same thing to all of us right now. So cool how this is confirmation on it. ❤ So grateful for this podcast

This was such a good episode!!!! As are all of them thus far!!!. Meg I love you! I've already adopted you as my Big sis, and patiently waiting for thr day God aligns our paths to meet!!!! Thank you for introducing me to Jerry Flowers! Jerry !!!!!!! Bruhhhh thank you! If ever I'm in houston on a Sunday I look forward to attending your church! I wrote down 4 things that you mention that I know God used you for to minister to me in this season of my life. 1. The very thing that Jesus turned down; we want. 2. In the book of Acts is where you'll find what the original church was designed to look like. 3. The voice of the Lord comes from the uneasy & tension (grieving) you feel during certain encounters. 4. Sanctification process: When you are trying to do something (you previously enjoyed) that doesn't align with Gods word, it feels different.
