    Speaker's Bio:
    Michael Seibel works at Y Combinator as a Group Partner and Managing Director of YC early stage.
    He moved to the bay area in 2006, and was co-founder and CEO of Justin.tv from 2007 - 2011 and the co-founder and CEO of Socialcam in 2012. Socialcam sold to Autodesk Inc. for $60m in the fall of 2012. In 2014, Justin.tv became Twitch and under the leadership of Emmett Shear and Kevin Lin sold to Amazon for $970m.

    I always love Michael's no-bullshit talk. There are SO many idiots in the startup world that chase the "founder image", or try to be "the next big thing". YC cuts through all that crap and asks "Are you solving a problem? Are you increasing revenue?"

    It was such a great moment to witness the student learning about remittance for the first time in a class full of international students. Shows the diverse realities of people in the same room.

    As far coding learn enough to understand how to read code, and structure the routing. Plug and play with road blocks. Throw your hobby time takes 20 minutes a day 2 years. JavaScript master it.

    I already knew I was never going to do a start up before I came to this video. Now I feel even more validated in this decision. This is definitely not for me. However, I enjoy listening to these YC, start-up, videos nonetheless. Just watching from the sidelines I suppose

      They are ALL paying attention to what he has to say because he isn’t bum-licking or fanning their egos.
