  • A guide to the mechanic 'Twinsong's Aporrhoia' and 'Theological Fatalism' in Endsinger's Aria (Endsinger Extreme) in Final Fantasy XIV.
    The 5-heads mechanic seems to be causing the most trouble in party finder, so I wanted to try to explain it in a bit more detail. Let me know if you find these smaller guides useful and if you think any other mechanic needs it!

    I have cleared a few times but this was literally the only mechanic in the fight I didnt feel confident on and I just followed someone else. Thanks for releasing this so early! you're a saviour!

    I've been trying to find a way to cut down on the amount of thinking I'm trying to do for this mechanic, and this mini-guide helps a lot. Thanks!

    Going to be tackling this later,
    I've seen one guide before this. And THIS is way clearer.
    Thank you for such a clean and easy to understand explanation.
    Awesome guide

    Actually very helpful. My main thing was always trying to discern the donut spot after figuring out the mid-head turning, and this makes it seem like I was severely overthinking the entire thing. It's just a matter of looking at one thing, eliminating two choices, and discerning the last one to find your safe spot.
    With some practice I should definitely get this down. Much appreciated!

    This is actually very helpful. I can roughly get the rest of the mechanics, but for the life of me I couldn't understand this one and always relied on hoping someone else knew. Hopefully this'll make me close to farm party pf ready.

    I put the numbers on the intercards with my group. Helped for me doing calls, cause if we stopped on an odd number, then the odd-evens of the rings had to match the marker. If we stopped on an even number, then the odd-evens had to be the opposite of the number of rings.

  • @fineti757
    @fineti757 2 года назад

    Nice video! I just cleared it today and came to basically the same conclusion as you. After the rings come out and you recognize the safe half of the arena, you just need to check if either of the heads there are a 2. The only time a 2 matters is in a 2-2 combination, so you move to the opposite of the starting doughnuts. A 2-1 or 2-3 combination would either make both spots safe (yay) or both spots unsafe, which would make the fight broken as there isn't a safe spot at all.

    I'm counting down the position of the middle head 3- south, 2 west, 1 north and then look at the two remaining for odd/even like the video suggested.
    It's the fasted way to know where to go in my opinion, since in the hectic of the fight even tho I know its rotating clockwise I often forget if the second position was left or right.

    It hasn't quite clicked in my head yet like, I can identify the side of the platform the middle head is going to cleve np its just trying to find a way that I can understand the safe spots and pull it off within the next few seconds 🤔 🤔 your guides are very helpful because it gives me a base to sort of find what works for me and what I'll remember 😊 still gonna need lots of practice tho 😔😅
    Edit;
    I wonder if someone would be able to make a mini game out of it like they did for E10s?

    I find the easiest strat for this is thinking only about odd and even numbers:
    If the first donuts are on odd markers, the safespot at the end will be „same“, as in the number of rings and the marker have to both be odd or both be even.
    If the first safespot is on an even marker, it‘s „opposite“, so if the number of rings is even, the marker has to be odd and vice versa.
    Just a different way of thinking about the donut positions really.

    The bit at 2:58 is the only bit I get confused with. I get the pattern, rotation, and the cleave but what logic dictates "if its got 2 rings, go to it. if it doesn't, don't"?

    • @HectorHectorson
      @HectorHectorson  2 года назад

      Directly horizontal/vertical from where you end up. The head you finish on is safe on 1/3 rings, as is the one diagonally opposite you. The other two heads are the ones safe on 2 rings.

    • @KeaneKamina
      @KeaneKamina 2 года назад

      @@HectorHectorson So since the middle head has 2 rings in this situation, you are checking for the 1/3 safe spot + the 2 ring spot to see if that is safe. If the 2 rings spot isn't safe (top left in this example), you would defer to the 1/3 safe spot each time (located opposite your current)?

    any guide for four star KB then AOE combo? when I get knocked back the second time it’s usually too late to respond to the first AOE, even with sprint.

    • @HectorHectorson
      @HectorHectorson  2 года назад +1

      I show this in my full guide (ruclips.net/video/AWtNrPfzp28/видео.html) at 10:54.
      Two things to make this easier:
      1. While waiting for the 2nd knockback, look at the red planet rings. One set of rings will be spinning faster; this is the set that will explode first.
      2. Aim your knockback slightly away from this first set. This makes the run to the safe spot much shorter.
      Hope this helps!

    What if the heads are 2 rings and 1/3 between the two that you have to choose? You still go to 2 even though 1/3 is the last donut you stood in if you look across? e.g. 2:49 C is two rings; B is 1/3 but ur last donut was at D.
    So you still go to C? This is so confusing man i'm sorry xD
    I probably replayed from 1:50 over 30 times now and i still don't get it........Is the opposite where u ended up at will always be safe except if other head has 2 rings?

    • @HectorHectorson
      @HectorHectorson  2 года назад

      The situation you described: where the two you have to choose from have 2 rings and 1/3 rings, will never happen, as it would either create 2 safe spots or no safe spots. The two heads on the safe side will always be both odd or both even.
      I'll try to break it down:
      1. Dodge the first three attacks by going in the donut
      2. Don't move when you get to the final donut.
      3. Find which way the head is going to cleave (sounds like you've got this down)
      4. Look at the two heads on the safe side. Your head and the head diagonally opposite are only safe if they have 1/3. The heads to your side (horizontal/vertical) are only safe on 2.
      Sorry if I'm still not explaining it clearly enough, but hope this helps!

  • @Exolithus
    @Exolithus 2 года назад +1

    not sure if my theory is right, got to proof it 5 times now, everytime right but the sample size is to small as i could be lucky 5 times. The safespot is always on the left or the right back of the head depending on if the middle head starts at looking left/right or up/down. Dont know which one it is but as an example:
    if the head looks at the start of this phase to the left or the right, the safespot in the last step will always be behind it to the left. if it spawns looking up or down, the safespot will always be behind it on the right.
    like i said, i still need more testing but till now this one worked for me 100% (5times). (however, cant remember if the safespot war to the left or right, depending of the first direction, but it should be consistent)
    i hope someone understands this XD
